I can take a stab at answering some of those...

I'm not all that sure SD itself stands for anything, except for referring to a character that's part of SoD. It encompasses all the creatures, so at the moment an SD could be either a Card or a Rabbit, though the Cards are the ones that use the letters in their registry numbers because they were the first ones on the site.

No, you don't have to post dialogue in colors, or bolded, or anything. ^_^ It's a purely personal preference. A lot of times it's done just for style, as well as to make speech stand out from the rest of their post. As to the pictures, it's preferred, especially when you haven't played much with the other person, or they have multiple characters. It makes it easier to remember what the character looks like, as well as setting off reminders of their basic personality, etc. Also, often times it'll show rank, which makes it easier to calculate meeting points. >.>

As to who holds what ranks at Courts! Go to the Court boards themselves, and there's a sticky at the top of each one that says "(Court) Royalty." Thar ya go.

For tokens, you get one token for every ten posts (cumulative) in a thread, with bonus tokens depending on various lengths of the thread, I believe. I think that, when a thread is closed, someone (it's been Kiki in the past?) makes a post that lists how many tokens you got, and it's listed in the Bandersnatch shop. That's the only place where tokens can be redeemed. As to how your character gets them ICly...that can be played off however you want. ^^ Like points, or p, they seem to serve as some of the imaginary currency of the world some times.

Aaaand I have no clue who's in charge of Corvistowne. I don't know if anyone is, knowing that Realm. >.>

Totally right on the SD thing. It was more a convenience at first than anything for ID numbers - SD is Card (excepting the White Rabbit), SDR is Rabbit, ST is Slithey Tove, MR is Mome Rath, etc. We've come to use it as a blanket term for characters in general sometimes.

Posting with bolded and/or colorized text is entirely a personal preference. I always do it because it makes it easier for me to find bits of dialogue when I read back through my own threads, because it looks pretty, and because I like other people to do it and want to set that example. It's more convenience than necessity, but boy can it be convenient sometimes. It just sort of incorporated itself into my typing pattern - I bold and colorize automatically as I type, rather than using the board formatting. Also, when you have multiple characters in one post, it's so much easier to tell who's talking in yours and others' posts when the speech is different colors.

Tokens were explained very well by Shini. <3 They're used strictly for Ashwin's bandersnatch shoppe, which is currently on a bit of a slowdown until I can take the images that Xenon has ready for me and get things organized again. xD It goes through periods of flux. More of a fun on-the-side thing than anything central to the site. Now, points are where the 'big money' is. If you get into the habit of recording your own points with every post, you'll be ahead of the game. It's what I do, and what I know a few people wish they'd done when they have to spend an hour retroactively tallying points to see if they have enough for a power. xD Doing it after the fact would make me go mad.

Corvistowne... hmm. I'm not 100% sure on that. Probably more of a question for Nat. I'm guessing it's run by a loose sort of government that regulates some things like safety, disposal of chemical/medical/etc. waste, and all of that. Individuals have a lot of freedom in that realm, so I'd imagine that the government doesn't interfere too often into individual right, especially where research is concerned, unless seriously pressed. But all of that's just a guess.

A lot of times with realms, if something hasn't been heavily detailed already, it's open to individual player interpretation. <3 So, very good to ask! We can often give you a bare-bones structure that you can then flesh out, should you feel so inclined.

Questions are very welcome!

Well answered, guys. I appreciate it.

As to the Corvies.
There was a governmental system, similar to the other Realms about 50 years ago.
Most Realms have a few assorted governors or mayors, but all they really do is regulate the monetary system and try to keep larger businesses in check.
Corvistowne is full of crazed-ego-maniacs, however...
The governmental system was overthrown quite awhile ago, and the residents rely on one another to be responsible with hazardous wastes and materials and keep to themselves or one another.
Corvies appreciate the rules of the governing Courts (when they remember to, and then only because of the power the Courts wield), but other than that, they tend to ignore claims of power unless these claims are made obvious to them, or directed at them personally.
They just tend to not have the time for that sort of thing.

Okay. So. This might just be me being dumb but I want a leetle clarification. When my Club's ability says this: Strong Magical Ability: When activated, he can move or shift thick pieces of iron into marvelous shapes, they melt when used as weaponry, though.

Does that mean he can choose what shapes to make it? Like could he say, make a horseshoe or wagon wheel or pot or something? Basically I'm wondering if he could use his ability to help him blacksmith like his Dad. :> Thanks!

Correct!

He can use it to help in his smithing. It may be a little unwieldy for the more delicate work, but it would be a huge help for getting things into the proper shape before getting to the details. <3

MY APOLOGIES FOR DOUBLE POSTING! XD;;;

But I just have a few things...

First, can you have a turtle/tortoise card? Because they are reptiles...are they just very rare or not possible?

Second...and this may be written somewhere but I can't really find it...what is the shortest length a thread can be and everyone involved still gets finishing points?

I can so answer the second question!

Under the "Points" section in information:

Three points: You can get three points by meeting a creature of higher rank in an Outside Court (Jack Rabbit/Doe/Queen Cat/Tom/Leader) or by meeting a 'lower' face card (J-K). You can also gain three points for finishing a thread (the RP thread in question must be five posts long or longer to qualify). Once you have finished the thread and labeled it as such, you and the people you are playing with each get three points.

Ah, I'm also sorry. I looked for it but I couldn't find it.. although I found some related things that weren't exactly what I'm looking for. So here it is!

What's the minimum posts you need to get the Long RP points when it hits 30 posts?
