Pandora had just been coming to terms with the scene of her birth. The few moments she'd had after bursting forth from her Doe Mother had been chaotic to say the least. She'd realized she was surrounded by Rabbits. Surely such a thing wasn't possible, but then again... the manner of her birth, not to mention being born a Card to a Rabbit Mother... It was all just a little much to take in. A small Rabbit had been pointing something sharp at her and shouting at her as though she were some dangerous beast when her vision blurred. She felt a strong wind whip around her and lift her up. The next thing she knew, she felt a hard -smack- as she felt to the ground. Groaning, the exotic Mix adult (of around 19 years) shakily got to her feet. Her head ached from the impact but that was soon forgotten when she realized she was staring into four new faces. Eyes wide and an expression of disbelief on her face, Pan quickly turned completely around to gain a glimpse of the new surroundings. She appeared to be in a city's alley, right next to a warped door leading into some kind of building. Pan clacked her beak together in nervousness at the eyes upon her. So many questions! But - none of them would believe what she had just been through! After just a few seconds of deliberation she decided it would be best if she kept her manner of birth and where she'd just come from to herself. Lowering her Rabbit-like ears, she turned her large innocent eyes to those around her and casted her Basic Magical Ability, hoping to appear as nonthreatening as possible. Though, looking at the others now she already seemed like the least likely threat in the immediate area. All Corvies, and only the Bird furthest away looked normal out of the three. What the Suits was that black gooey substance almost completely covering the Ferret? Pan stopped the repulse she felt from showing on her face. "Um, excuse me. Could either of you please tell me where exactly I am?"

Something in the way Even looked at him, and the step backward he took, made a sense of pride well up in him. He hadn't actually frightened anyone at any point that he could remember by any other means but biting them. That feeling was rather satisfying in and off it's self.
It was even better when the weird little ferret stepped to his side and made this Evan person seem a little more afraid, if the subtle movement of his tail was any indication. So he's whipped out a weapon, brandished it at them all and then backed off in fear? What a waste of time, space and oxygen he was.
And then he and the rat were very suddenly gone.... through a mirror? His large ears flipped forward a bit as he stepped toward the shattered pieces of reflective glass. He knelt down and poked at them a bit before picking up the largest remnant of the mirror and twiddling with it.
He looked over his shoulder, acknowledging the new voice. So she wasn't dead and she wasn't Corvie? Awesome. In fact.... she looked like she might have a bit of Tulgey in her as well.
His voice sounded more tired then it did angry now, and his tail flicked a bit.
You're in one hell of a bad day, Welcome.

Iso felt her upper lip involuntarily curl back into a snarl, her upper canines bared as she hissed angrily at the Jossigy. The nerve of this man! She took a step forward and before her eyes a whirlwind appeared from the sky to drop a prone figure in their midst. She had just enough time to register and dismiss her shock to round on the wolf when he grabbed the bizarre-realmed rat and disappeared with assistance of a magical mirror.
Dammit!
The ferret had been unaware of how deeply upset she was until the last shard of glass fell still upon the cobblestones. Her inky backside rippled along her back, throwing out more and more tendrils as she seethed. Finally, she raked a clawed paw toward the scattered pieces, not caring whether she injured herself, and flung the remnants away from herself and the others. Her ink settled as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath to compose herself.
When the newcomer groaned Iso had become calm and opened her eyes to watch the struggling creature with weary interest. The Card was quite the amalgam of realms and breeds – fascinating and rather attractive. There was certainly some Tulgey, judging by the spots, and probably Torquehelm from the dark coloration, but the rest were just guesses.
She sighed.
The longer this night progressed the more absurd it became. She was wary of the Card, as she had been with the others, but Takio’s near flippant remark was reassuring. Considering how quick Evan had been to flee at the sight of both her and the Tulgey/Villa, she needn’t be so afraid any more. The sight of her alone was enough to make a person think twice before attacking her. It was almost… comforting… to not have to be afraid. Perhaps the ink and her skull’s new assets were a blessing in disguise. Not that she would keep them if provided a way to dispose of them, but on an evening such as this they were nearly a unique form of insurance.
This is the neighborhood just outside the Bazaar, the main shopping district in Capital City, she added to the lion-like Card’s vague statement. It is a rather a bad day. May we get your name?
Excuse me, she apologized to the woman once she had introduced herself, and turned to Takio and the others. Mr. Kinsien, Courante -sir- she harshly addressed the heron to prevent him from entering the laboratory alone, it would appear there are even stranger events occurring than we had previously thought… That Jossigy's report is suspicious, to say the very least...

At first she thought the Lion-like Card knew something about what had just happened to her. Her pulse sped for a few moments before she realized he was talking about his own experiences. Pan found it hard to look directly at the Ferret without obviously staring at her odd mutations, but she didn't want to be rude and offend a potentially useful aquaintence.
"The Bazaar," she repeated and quickly flipped through the knowledge she had been born with to "remember" everything she could about the Bazaar and the Capitol. She'd of course never been anywhere before but that Rabbit Warren, but made herself act as though she'd been here before.
"My name is..," she paused, coming up with the first name that popped into her head from a vague mythical story, "Pandora. And who might you all be?"
The Mix looked over at the Heron, lifting a feathered eyebrow as he tried unobtrusively sidestepping in through the door. She couldn't really blame him. All she felt like doing at this moment was exploring this Capitol city. With a heavy sense of dread she realized she had no place to stay, and no money with which to buy food or a roof over her head. Dispair filled her until a bit of the Ferret's words filtered through to her ears.
"What report?" she asked, having no idea at all of what was going on anywhere.

((A breeze begins to pick up in the area, and the smell of something rank and rotten, floods their senses. Somewhere nearby, they can hear the rattling and shaking of something that sounds like a large iron door. Pounding, as though someone is trapped inside of one of the labs? A voice, husky, rough...sounds like a heavy smoker, and muffled, rings out.
"Hello? Hey! Anyone out there? Door's stuck! Come on; hello?" If they venture to their right, it looks as though something thick, black and tarry has left a trail all down the streets over here. Many doors are dented and cracked, as though something heavy flailed about wildly. One large, metal door, set at an angle against the lab it is attached to, has been caved backwards, forcing it to stick in its foundations...that would certainly trap someone inside. Maybe you can help them get out?))

The breeze not only picked up, but for a moment it blew quite harshly and deposited two more souls into the street behind the group.. The Jossigy chipmunk landed almost on top of the solandrian Akita and both men let out a bit of a groan. The first thing that they were both aware of was the sound of.... violins? What? The instant he picked up the groans, Takio whirled around with a growl. his mood was already sour and the encounter with the wolf still fresh in his mind. The sight of another jossiggy behind them was enough to make him turn and walk toward the heap of fur and limbs, lips pulled back and his tail lashing. These two were not going to sneak up on the rag-tag group of individuals. Jarvis opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the red eyes of Takio, and those teeth.... teeth that looked a bit like his own only.... sharper. His were longer of course... but.... damn. Those things would have no problem piercing flesh. It was a little unnerving and he went to scoot backward, only to find his path blocked by the bulk that was Jerome. They just got here, why was this man so angry? I... I... where are we? Jerome had been in the process of trying to get to his feet when the chipmunk bumped into him and sent him back down. He huffed in a grumpy manner before turning his attention to the strange mix that was presently towering over them. He pulled his own lips back and returned the growl only to receive a light elbow to his ribs from his companion. Takio narrowed his eyes suspiciously, but never let his gaze travel from the pair of newcomers. his voice was practically dripping with venom. Don't get all cute with me, you know exactly where you are and what's going on. Lowlanders my ass, tell us what your real plans are!

Pandora had been waiting to hear what was going on, because apparently something was, when a strong breeze made her nearly gag. Coughing out the horrible smell she turned back to to others.
"What the hell is that smell?" she asked, but then realized the four of them were no longer alone in the alley. Almost just the way she had arrived there were now two more new additions to this growing group of Cards. The one that caught her attention first was the handsome looking Solandrian. But before she could look him over any further she realized...that was a Chipmunk with metal spider legs!
Eyes wide, she looked from the Ferret to the Chipmunk. Were there really so many with such Mutations? It was... unnerving to say the least.
Then the Lion Mix was shouting in one of the newcomer's face. It wasn't her fight and she thought about letting the yelling continue, but Pan sighed and walked over and stood in between Takio and Jarvis, putting a dainty paw gently on Takio.
"Look, it seems they just arrived like I did. I agree some questions are in order, but I don't think scaring him is going to help the situation," she reasoned, removing her little paw in case he didn't care for physical contact from a stranger.
Walking further over to the Solandrian, Pan extended her paw in an offer to help him stand up.
"My name is Pandora. You all can call me Pan if you like," she introduced herself. "Now, is it just me, or do you hear someone calling out for help?" she asked, drawing their attention to the pounding sound. It seemed someone was knocking hard on something metal just down the alley...
"And what is with that aweful stench!" she cried, for the wind had brought a new wave of olfactory torture. Pan tried to block out the smell by covering her nares with a paw.

Takio narrowed his eyes at the little mix that was a strange mash of regions and stared at her for a moment. Then, with an indignant huff, he fixed his glasses and turned, stalking toward this stupid door she was talking about. His tail clearly advertised his present mood to anyone who was looking at him as he walked away. Let her find out on her own why he was so upset at the green brindled freak of a chipmunk.
That's also when the smell finally hit him, and he coughed a bit in disgust. That had to be a wonderfully bad omen so.... now what was going to happen? He stopped in front of the door that seemed like the best suspect and cleared his throat before speaking, trying to get all the aggressiveness out of his tone.
Are you in here?
He kicked at the steel door a bit for emphasis of where exactly he was.
Jarvis was happy to see that not all of these new people shared such an... aggressive state of mind. He was used to Lowlanders, and even some Sorgaire, tossing insults at him because of his realm.... but not, what was he? Tulgey Woods and Villa? He did his best to smile at the little mix before settling himself in a more comfortable sitting position off of the Akita. He held up his hands to show he meant no harm. Maybe an introduction would calm some nerves?
Excellence Jarvis, at your service. We just.... we came here from the Court of Hearts where.... are we now?
He thought this might be the Capitol, but he wasn't exactly familiar with this part of the city.
Jerome on the other hand, was terribly amused by the dainty little mix. Even more so when she offered her paw, which had to be at least five times smaller then his own, in a gesture to help him up. Amusement showed in his only remaining eye as he swatted her paw away and got his bulk up onto his paws by his own volition.
His voice was deep, his accent was thick and his common wasn't great, but he'd make every attempt to speak to these people. Starting with this... Pandora.

Iso blinked. Though she had excused herself to this Pandora she had still managed to exclude the interesting Card from the rest of the proceedings. That was certainly very rude, but this circumstances being what they were…
My apologies, Ms. Pandora. I am Dr. Iaso Price –Iso will do - this is Mr. Takio Kinsien, Courante, and Urkel? Ercole, yes. Mr. Ercole, I believe it was. She glowered at the intoxicated bird again to further her point that he was not to leave their sight anytime soon.
I am unaware as to your prior location, but there have been bizarre occurrences in the Capital as of this evening. Depending on where you arrived from, it’s possible these events are not exclusive to the Bazaar. The ferret gestured to her impossibly horned head and the inky substance along her back. The night has also lent itself to random mutations, disappearing Cards, strange smells. If you would look around, it’s apparent there has been several burglari-
She stopped short as a noxious smell permeated the immediate area as her nose wrinkled in distaste. What was that?, she thought, as Pandora voiced the same concern. About to turn her head to investigate, Takio spun in place and growled at a pair of figures behind them that hadn’t been there before.
Iso frowned and blinked rapidly, her jaw setting decisively as she processed the newcomers' sudden appearance. She very much disliked surprises and the night only seemed to offer more at every turn. Narrowing her eyes, the Spade stepped forward next to Takio to better survey the Cards. A stocky Solandrian and a… Jossigy arachnid?? Something of this sort wouldn’t have fazed her had the extra metallic appendages sprouted from a fellow Corvie – but a Jossigy?!
Mr. Kinsien? Pandora is correct. Might we question them first before resorting to violence?
The Villa/Tulgey stalked off before offering a reply. Her ears flicked in response to a slight, muffled voice issued from what looked to a be a broken, metal door. Her face contorted into one of displeasure. What now??
Pandora - that Jossigy gentleman that just disappeared? Well, he’s claimed there’s a Jossigy/Lowland war – frankly, I think it’s a crock of shit – there’s something afoot.
Iso was greatly perturbed. She rarely resorted to expletives, but now she was becoming irriated. It was enough that she had been transformed without having to deal with magically transported Cards appearing from nowhere, and now someone was trapped!
Gentlemen, I suggest you refrain from anything malicious. We’re clearly not in the mood. She nodded her head toward Takio and briefly explained everything that had happened to the group, as she knew it, thus far.
Now, would you be so kind as to explain your situation after we've helped?

((There was a brief silence after Takio's kick, followed by a hesitant. "Well, the door shook, so...I'm gonna assume that's me or that there's gonna be another bunch of freaking monsters crushing my skull. Can...can you get it open? I've already trashed half my tools and it's pretty damn stuck on this end, sorry, my abilities aren't cutting it."
The man (it sounds like a male, anyway) seems slightly abashed at this and goes quiet again for a few seconds. "Are you alone out there, um, sir? I can probably make you something for your help, but I don't have much money. Sorry." The tarry substance seems oddly similar to the gunk covering Iso...even smells the same, actually. That rotting smell isn't as strong near this door, it seems to have been wafting up the alley outside of the doorway they were previously gathered in. Good thing this one's a few doors down the block.
After Iso's comment the voice sounds hesitant. "I'm happy to explain, really, but it might not be waht you want. I've been working on something for a client for a few days now, haven't really been out, but..." It hesitates. "Gonna sound stupid but, it's...felt weird around here. Y'know?"))
