The sparrow was trying to pull himself together. The pain lasted for a brief amount of time, but it was an explosive pain that had him crying. He heard snippets of conversation as he tired to not to curl up into a ball.
The Queen was obviously guilty. He was going to pay for everything. It didn't matter if he was guilty. He would suffer. He pulled himself out of the ball when he heard the threat towards Mirriam (16 for willpower), his eyesight was still bleary.
This Murderer was going to pay. The sparrow pulled himself to his feet, but before he could do anything the snake jumped into action, aiming for the back of the Wolf's head. Hopefully he would do the job for him. Mirriam would be a good girl and stay out of the way, Morgan was probably too frightened and Gigi... crap.
She was half way under the cot wasn't she?
---
Gigi whimpered. Was she hearing Argo or was that her imagination? Ez was shrieking, people were getting angry. What was going on?
If she pulled away what was she going to see behind her? She sniffed and closed her eyes. Waiting here was good. He'd come back right?
"Argo, please come back..." she called one more time.
---
Devi gave a small nod at Wulfram's instructions. He was going to protect her now... and he was probably going to get scary. She moved out of the way when she was directed, staring up at the deer with wide terrified eyes.
---
Conall stayed back. Watching and waiting. Something horrible was clearly going to happen, and as long as Malachior was safe things should be fine, right? Though there seemed to be quite a few people in the room who sounded young.
He kind of felt bad, but not bad enough. And it looked like the snake was about to wail on someone. Yep, he'd stay back here by the nasty coat racks.

Mirriam didn't know much about this situation. But she knew a few things. First, that she'd had to lose her only family left in the most horrible way possible. Second, that this Wolf guy was acting mighty suspicious, and she didn't at -all- like the way he was talking about the Courts. And third...he had just said her parents were dead.
She hadn't said anything about being dead. Brown eyes narrowed at him, suspicions more than confirmed. "You look like a killer," she accused him in a low voice, antlers still lowered. If he took one step closer... "And you DID kill him, or you wouldn't know he was dead!" She flared out her wings, not intimidated by the Wolf's teeth. "And you look like FAR too low a person to ever associate with my parents! They'd never be friends with someone so mean!" She looked over to Ez, worry in her eyes, hoping he was okay. He was a good guy and she didn't want anything bad to happen to him. At least he seemed to be standing again.

When he licked the fur that he had plucked from the wolf did he get a alarming taste. This man meant much harm to him, and most likely to anyone else that was in this room. He didn't like the way the man was looking at everyone and surelly didn't like it when a deal went south. He may not like the snake but he knew that when you payed for someone to do something then they must fess up the product or a full refund was in order.
He was about to turn away and avoid an unessary fight when he heard the snake hiss and swing something through the air. He had only time enough to see that the snake was actually attacking the wolf. His eyes flew open and quickly took action. He may not be able to do much at the moment but he could do something that would help those around him. After all, he had already shown that he was hostile when he entered the room by holding a child upside down, and then attacking the other avian.
He raised his cane and spoke quickly, "Rise to me now... he said in a soft voice as he noted that the room was only a good normal height of eight feet. This would give the people here a good opportunity to do something about him. He watched as the queen flew into the air, making sure that he himself would get a good smack with his cane as well, for it was his only weapon, and yet... he turned it and held it by the bottom, so he had a makeshift spiky club.
He heard the child near him start taking about this man murdering her parents. NOw that wasn't tolerated at all.
He took cane and flipped it back around and swung as hard as he could, and with his nifty spell that was still active meant that he could swing it much much harder. Lifting an additional fifty pounds made things nifty in a fight. Seeing as the man now hung mid air did he take the liberty to swing aiming for his already bruised head. (12)
Crooked Staff: This gnarled branch looks as though it was wrenched off of an oak tree. It's base is thick enough to support a Card's weight, but the upper branches are twisted and pointed, anyone trying to take it from the owner would need to be careful not to stab themselves. When held, the owner can feel that it tingles slightly in their hand as the words to a spell lodge themselves in their brain. Saying the words: Rise to me now trigger a spell once a week. After speaking these as loudly or softly as they desire, the owner will find themselves able to cause another SD to levitate a full 20 feet in the air for a full minute. During the minute, they will be unable to do anything more than turn their body and flail, though they can still use magic. This spell does not work on flying Birds as they can break free or Queens of Diamonds, but it would work on non-flying Birds, such as Kiwis or Penguins.

Davy had gotten bored of the conversation. There was talk of business and such things that he frankly found boring and irrelevant to the situation. He swiped some dust off of some surface and rolled it up between his fore and thumb pawpads, flicking it onto the ground.
At least, he wasn't interested in what was going on until Ez suddenly crumpled to the ground in pain. Whu… what the hell??? And now this guy was talking some rather nasty things, looming over the poor bat girl in such a way that immediately made the boy step forward.
"Woah, hey now. That's a bit harsh, don't ya think? Where da hell do ya get off talkin' to people like that? Much less a little girl, eh?"
Then the snake swung a punch at the man. Davy jumped back in alarm, wings splayed at the heightened intensity of the situation. It seemed like a fight was about to break out between these two. He took several steps back, glancing around the room.
And then he heard a girl calling for someone under the bed Was… she insane? He edged his way to that side of the room, hastening to look under there to see what was going on. If worse came to worse, he could always hide under there till things got better.
((Sorry, sorry DX ))

(("Ilook like a killer? Please, child, have your parents not taught you to avoid discrimination?" He sneered, hoping that no one was paying her comment about how he would know about any of the deaths any attention. Why would they? She was nothing more than a noisy brat. Surely, he could just- Zacharias barely had time to finish speaking his piece to the Bat girl, when something connected hard with the back of his head. Giving a loud, involuntary yelp as stars exploded in his vision, he stumbled forward and stepped onto the Bat girls wing (16, make of it what you will) manicured claws pressing down in his clumsy shock. "Lucius, you damn fool! He shrieked, whirling around, claws outstretched to grab any part of the serpent and tear. (13) After digging onto anything, he'd made to draw the man in for a bite, when he heard the Club mutter something, caught a glimpse of an odd, short, pink winged someone, and was hoisted into the air, upside down and furious beyond measure! "What is th-!" He managed, cloak spilling over his head, before his writhing form caught the glancing edge of a tremendous blow. (16) Writhing to get the cloak off of himself, his eyes actually widened in shock to see the Club taking a swing at him and Lucius looking none-too-pleased. "Stop this at once! He bellowed, casting a spell on the Heron as fast as he could and taking another swing with his claws at the Serpent.
Twisted Caste: (For Sabe) This powerful spell will affect Cards of any rank once a day, causing them to be suddenly surrounded by shadow-like demons, all covered in spikes and bearing sharps fangs and claws. These monsters will appear for a full two minutes and do their absolute best to destroy their target, ripping and tearing. Best aim at them well, or they'll be all over you. These creatures will not attack women, only males.
Trying to keep people off of himself, the Wolf let out a howl of rage and flailed about with the claws on all limbs, gnashing strong teeth and growling, hoping the spell would pass quickly and letting another spell loose on the entire room.
Expunge: Every Card ranked King or lower in a 100 foot radius around the caster will suddenly feel themselves becoming exceedingly angry with one another, anyone close to them, actually. Though they will not necessarily fight unless already angry, this spell will make certain that harsh words are spoken and feelings are unleashed. This spell does not work on Cards ranked 8 and lower or Jokers and lasts for 30 seconds.
As Gigi stared down the stairs, something at the bottom opened, spilling light about 20 feet below her. Shouting, there was a lot of shouting; screams about someone's ear, shouts of surprise and fear, and a familiar voice crying out in response... The door slammed, the light at the bottom went out, but not before she saw something huge shoot through into the space below. There was silence except for panting and a slight, disturbing giggle. The door opened and slammed twice more and a minute passed before anything happened. More shouts, more screams. Then the dark form hurtled through again, and with a soft click, all sounds from below vanished. After a few seconds, a soft clicking could be heard before a scaled hand shot out of the darkness and encircled her muzzle, the giggling suddenly and swiftly right in her ear, hot breath on her face as the fingers tightened just enough to make sure she couldn't make noise. "You...wanted me? Here I am...I'm Argo..." The face that peeked back up at her was neither the mask of her Mother or Ez, nor was it the strange, long mask the creature had worn before. A terrifyingly depraved looking monster, with wild eyes and shredded, bleeding ears poked itself up at her and grinned, a little too widely. It tapped her nose with a long nail and laughed breathlessly, one eye rolling a little. "Hello...Gigi..."))

Wulfram may have been too distracted with his little Puffin to pay much heed to Zach, but Malachior heard everything clear as day. This was quite sad. His dear old acquaintance had apparently done some terrible, unwarranted things. That was a lot to say coming from the mind of an ex-assassin. He sighed a little.
It was all so unfortunate.
He edged back further and, the moment the cane connected to the wolf's head, he reached back to give the girl a quick nudged toward Conall. "If this sort of thing bothers you as Wulfram suggests, please keep your eyes shut."
Lucius laughed as the man shrieked but his joy was painfully short-lived. He barely had enough time to jerk back (11) and the wolf managed to rake his claws over the delicate flesh of the serpent's hand. He was jerked far too close for comfort and, for a horrifying moment, expected to receive a nasty bite for digression.
But... the Club saved him.
Lucius stumbled a few feet away. Laughing again, horrified and amused all at once. Never in his life had he appreciated a Club, today he did. "Not on your knees, but perhaps this is better!" The man looked an absolute fool, tossing in his cloak as he fumbled about on the ceiling.
When Zacharias swiped wildly at him, Lucius leaned back out of the way and swung up with his staff once more (10). The shadow-like monsters that rose up around Sabe jerked the serpents attention away from Zacharias briefly as the serpent arched a brow. My... Those were unexpectedly devious abilities Mr. Zacharias had... Lucius would be sure to keep that in mind.
His thoughts got no further than that when a surge of overwhelming anger crashed into him. He swung around without warning, his gaze grazing Sabe -- consumed in monsters -- and landed on Malachior. "YOU!" He hissed, eyes widening with a hellish fervor. "You vouched for this bastard! This is your fault! If he can't pay me, you will!"
Malachior scoffed, filled with a sudden flush of hatred for the damn serpent who kept lashing out without listening. He spat a curse at the man in the Spade house tongue but never managed further retort before the Serpent flew at him with his cane. "Tch!" Malachior jerked smoothly aside, far more swift than a man his age should be, jerked the blade out from his jacket's inner pocket and slammed the hilt down between the serpent's shoulder blades. (12 vs 17)
The blow caught the serpent entire off guard and drove him to the ground with a half-shriek of surprise. Malachior kicked the man's dropped cane out of his reached and sneered at him in disgust.
"If this is anyone's fault, Lucius! It's yours for being such an incorrigible hot-headed imbecile of a Tulgey!"
A great deal happened at once and all of it displeased Wulfram a great deal. Suddenly Zach was floating as Lucius and Sabe attempted to beat him with canes and then people were whipping attitudes around the room as if it was a new sport. He'd never heard Malachior curse in all their years of knowing each other. Not that he was bothered, but the unsettling change in personality certainly suggested the use of a hex.
He sneered at the wolf and summoned his mome which immediately curled up around his neck and proceeded to hiss at everything in the room. For now, however, Wulf would keep his distance of those flailing claws and simply watch his back for the others in the room.

He needed to get to Gigi. Pull her out from under the bed. Damnit. His attention snapped back to the Wolf and Mirriam however. Things were happening, far too many things were happening at once. He made an alarmed sound as he pressed against the wall and tried to edge closer to the cot.
He didn't get very far (4), there was too much going on, people were in the way, the Wolf was hanging upside down. Shit, he wasn't going to be able to get to Gigi at all. He tried to think of a spell, something, anything that would help.
And then he was suddenly very angry. He just felt nasty and spiteful, and the closet person happened to be Wulfram. He'd use his Jack ability to drain the color from the pretty little vest he was wearing. That would certainly be embarrassing. Bastard wasn't doing anything to help him, served him right focusing on something other than him. Bastard must have just used him for sex and thought nothing of him.
His feathers ruffled with displeasure, he shot the man a look that could kill puppies.
He failed to notice anything else around the room, completely focused on Wulfram.
Aimed at Wulfram's Vest Jack's Ability: He is now able to cause the color to leak out of objects when angered to the point where they have absolutely no color...meaning they don't turn white...but become invisible for a full two hours. He cannot control this power fully yet, but time could make it a conscious decision. Jack's Ability Boost: He is now able to focus on one object, though he still needs anger to fuel the ability. He can then cause this specific object to become completely invisible for the full two hours.
---
Devika looked up at the man with a frown, nodding slightly before edging back a bit and squeezing her eyes shut. She didn't want to see this. This was scary. People were getting angry and there was so much screaming.
She cowered, it's all she could think to do. She was out of the way anyway.
---
Conall watched silently, side stepping the girl that almost ran into him when she backed up. Suddenly Malachior was furious, and the snake was taking out his rage on him. He would have stepped in, but by the time he could react the snake was on floor (1). Apparently sticking with the Spade had been the best idea he had had. There was more going on, but he honestly wasn't about to step into the fray.
Hopefully everyone would walk away from this nightmare.
---
Gigi sobbed. Terrifying things were happening. There was shouting going on below her. Bright lights. Her ears perked when she heard the response.
There was a door slamming and something weirdly huge....? Giggling? She froze and waited for something to happen. Things were going on behind her too, weren't they? She pushed herself a little further into the hole during the minute of silence.
There were more sounds. What was going on.
She opened her mouth to ask another question, doing her best not to cry when something shot out from the darkness and clamped down around her muzzle. She nearly went cross eyed trying to stare at the scaly hand that was tightening so she couldn't make a sound.
This had been a bad idea hadn't it? Her ears pulled back as her eyes widened at the the hot breath and the giggle.
W-what was she looking at exactly?
Wait. This was... this was Argo? But how could he be like this now when he was something else before? So he wasn't Mommy and he wasn't Ez and... what was he? What did he actually look like? The girl's forehead wrinkled in her confusion.
He tapped her nose, his eye was doing something awful.
And then he said her name.
So he was Argo?
This was confusing.
His hand was still clamped down around her mouth. What... what was she supposed to do? (3, Gigi fails at ideas.) She tried her best to make a small nod but couldn't really move her head properly. So she did the next best thing and tried to give Argo a pleading look.
What was he going to do to her?
(( Lalala Edit: I have no idea if Zach's spell should affect(or is it effect?) Gigi as she's half way in the room and half way out. ))

Very suddenly, Wulfram's vest was gone. The crow blinked in surprise, staring at where it had been and at the items that were now clearly visible. His vest was apparently still there then, for the items were still tucked in the inner breast pocket, but the material was... invisible. The razor and the now bloodstained cloth he'd used to bundle up Vaska's wingclaws were both quite clearly visible for the entire room to see. If they had a problem with that, they'd just have to deal.
He lifted his gaze and found the Sparrow was staring at him very intently.
Glaring daggers, really.
He arched a brow and motioned to his vest in exasperation. "Zhis is your vork, I assume?" He was certain he should be angry but... really... compared to the sight of Malachior pinning a fellow King to the floor with his hoof as they flung obscene insults at each other, the whole vest bit was kind of cute.
He flashed Ez a strange grin, arching his brow suggestively before suddenly darting forward with the intention to pin Ez to the wall. (18) Once close enough, he'd lean in to whisper so that only Ez could hear: "Zhat eager to get my clothes off, hmmm Mein Spatz?"
The Mome hissed a little, scowling hatefully at Ez, but Wulf kept it's attention focused on the Wolf despite all its not-so-quiet protests. He would know the instant the wolf dropped. Until then....

((Did Sabe's staff work on Zacharias?))
Sabe saw that his staff wasn't even close to hitting Zacharias, his best was put out the window as a spell hit him full force. He gazed around him and quickly knew that he was in danger of being killed as shadow demons surrounded him on all sides and up to the roof of the small room. He was just going to stand there when he felt claws rake across his forearm and knew right away that he was in danger of being killed. the creatures kept lashing out at him as he tried to avoid them, taking few hits to his cane but still felt his feathers and body being torn by teeth and nail. He couldn't even imagine what would happen if he tried to get through their spiky defenses.
He quickly ran through what he had left and though, why not. He had nothing else up his sleeves and decided that this would be the best thing that he could do. He reached into his satchel and grabbed on the shirt and willed it to work.
Stiffly Pressed Shirt: Hell is this doing on a windowsill? This lovely shirt is a pleasant coal color with various teals...very pretty. It tingles slightly to the touch, but other than that...nothing special about it, right? Once a week, they are now able to cause a small whirlwind of old, wet t-shirts to appear from nowhere and swarm around themselves (about 4 feet from them) for a full 5 minutes. The shirts are spinning fast enough to cause some rather incredible bruising and cuts if you get too close. Though, they are just shirts...weapons would make short work of them.
He watched as the smell and the sight of loads of shirts engulfed him and he watched in amazement as the demons were attacking them and it cutting them and vise-versa. Things were going to end badly but he thought quickly on his feet and decided that this was his best course of action. He saw the hat stand from the corner of his eye and quickly cast a spell to make it levitate off the ground though he was no where near it and it was on the other side of the Wolf. So it was going to work he hoped, and yet... it didn't move fast enough. He quickly started thinking of a small tornado behind it to push it faster. He knew that this spell worked on small cards and something that weighed less than thirty pounds should easily be pushed with great force. He aimed the tornado so that it would push the hat stand strait at the queen.
That was when he turned and noticed that the demons had almost destroyed more than half of the shirts flying about him. He moved and with a small disdain in his eyes saw that the shirts didn't move with him. How sad to end ones fate and all they could rely on was musty old wet shirts.
He looked up and only thought of Maj and wondered if she was ok now... she lived in the capital. . . he wanted to see her again hopefully .
Cast on Hat StandJack's Ability Once a week, he is now able to cause any item that weighs 100lbs or less to hover off the ground for up to 24 hours. This does not include anything alive, only inanimate objects, but the thing/things (if they are tied in a bundle) will follow the SD withing ten feet of them until they disengage the spell by simply telling the objects to stop, quietly.
Cast on floating hat stand at Zacharias Strong Magical Ability When activated, he can move or shift small molecules of air to create a miniature tornado. This tornado will only be about two feet high and is strong enough to knock Cards ranked Seven and lower off their feet for a bit. The tornado will last for a full ten minutes and this spell can be preformed once per week.

Mirriam scowled at the Wolf, and opened her mouth to say something else, about how the Wolf was also -acting- mean and had hurt Ez, brown eyes flashing with anger, when suddenly he stepped toward her. The Bat had no time to react as his clawed foot came down on her wing, and she let out a piercing shriek of pain. Luckily (16), the claws only pierced and tore the edge of the wing membrane, and didn't break any of the fragile bones.
She stumbled back, white spots swimming across her vision from the pain of it, and nearly tripped over Morgan, going sprawling in a heap. Suddenly...she felt very...very...-angry-. She bore her small teeth in a snarl and held out her wings, leaving a bit of blood over the floor. "Why didn't you get out of the way? WHY did you have to SAY that thing about brothers? You made him MAD!" she scolded Morgan, brown eyes glaring. Her face was twisted in such an expression of rage that it looked wholly unnatural on her young face.
