Fino watched him closely, crimson eyes searching out and finding the signs of strain, of tension, the pain that was no doubt coursing through the feline's head manifesting itself quite plainly on his features. He would have to mention a few of the tricks he used to hide those signs himself, but not now.
He rarely hugged anyone, because hugs were Significant. In his mind, at least. Very few things would warrant that kind of display of vulnerability, but this was nothing if not one of them. What Pravus had just done for him was... remarkable. Almost unbelievable. He had thought that the pain and headaches would haunt him until the day he died. And now they wouldn't, ever again, not unless they were a 'normal' headache like other people occasionally got.
"Very, very good," he agreed, shifting so that Pravus could rest his head more comfortably against the Queen. For him, heat had always helped to sooth the headaches, though he knew that others often preferred a cool or cold compress. The feline was more likely than not one of them. At the same time, he ran his other hand very lightly, and then with a slight pressure, along Pravus's forehead and temples. That was where the pain had been centered today, so it only made sense that it would transfer over in its entirety. "Words can barely even begin to describe how much I... appreciate what you just did. Truly. I cannot thank you enough. This was... entirely unexpected."

Pravus sighed a little, the headache was a little much for him. He hadn't been prepared and to get a headache after going his whole life without one. It was a different sort of pain entirely, one that for some reason, seemed to trump most others. Pravus mused for a split second, if only there was a way to cause unending headaches in his captives, they'd think their own bodies were trying to kill them and not him. He mentally noted it, he'd find a way, it'd be useful.
He allowed himself rest against his Queen with a small mewl. Good. . he had done well. The coldness that always seemed to haunt Serafino now seemed a blessing and the cooling sensation against his head actually helped, if only a little. But every measure of pain that receded seemed a giant step. He cringed at first as Fino's fingers traced along his head but found that it felt very good indeed and relaxed.
"If. . I had known that . . felt so good I would. . have done that for you." He muttered absently to himself. The next words made Pravus so happy he could have burst.
"Just. . don't leave me." Apparently, that was thanks enough.

"Of course not," Fino agreed easily, hand not ceasing its slow, repetitive, deliberate strokes. The fact that he was usually the only one to see these moments of weakness pleased him more than a little. "Never by choice. And for today, you can stay in here for as long as you need to. It will take some time to adjust, I can imagine."
Oh yes, he could imagine. The first morning he woke up with a dull, throbbing ache in his head, he hadn't known what was going on. The fact that it only got worse throughout the day had left him in bed for most of it, moaning, not knowing what the hell had been going on. His sister had inflicted the curse on him when he was seventeen, not long after his birthday, though of course he and his uncle hadn't known what the problem was for several years. Even then, there wasn't anything he could do about it.
Until now. He rested his chin on the top of Pravus's head, very lightly so as not to cause undue pressure, and sighed. "I wish you didn't have to go through this," he said honestly. Then again, he wouldn't trade it back for anything in the world, not a single thing.

That was all Pravus needed to hear. It was all he ever needed actually, for his Queen to never leave. Pravus was incapable of love in the normal sense, but he was firmly his Queen's shadow. That position was his entirety now, and he was comfortable there, happy there. He sighed again as the slow circles helped even more.
These headaches were a deadly thing though and ever though he found a measure of relief in those movements, he was still quite hindered by the pain. Pravus purred a little, gently at first, it seemed to actually help and so he continued quietly to purr as he lay against Serafino.
"I don't mind." He said quietly. His head felt as if it were going to split open everytime he spoke and so he went back to purring gently instead of trying to talk anymore. The cat didn't want to pull away but he desperately wanted to lay down. His body moved slightly away from Fino for a second as he thought of curling amongst the covers in a ball but he leaned back in, hoping his Queen wouldn't notice.
(( >.> I know cats purr when they're hurt so um. . I just sort of . . . went off of that *COUGH* hope it's okay XD ))

Fino smoothed a hand over the feline's hair and cheek, wondering what would be best to help. With a headache like today's, he wouldn't do anything special to baby it besides avoid bright light and stick to his tea, but it would probably take a lot more babying for Pravus to become used to them. Treating it as a severe headache or the beginnings of a migraine, then, he would resort to blocking any and all light where he could. The tea was nice when someone else could deliver it, which Bernard was doing, but occasionally he went to him for medicine when it was available. Drugs didn't always 'agree' with him, but very occasionally there would be one that didn't mess with him as badly.
The most important thing he could do, though, was lay down and try to pretend that the world didn't exist. He didn't quite notice Pravus shifting away, but he did notice him pressing closer and he sighed, moving to lean back against the headboard of the bed and pulling the feline along with him to rest against his side, flatter than they had been sitting up. It would be less than pleasant moving at first, but it would be better for him in the long run.
"Uncle should be back soon with tea and something to help your head," he murmured quietly, voice low so as not to aggravate the pain. "Unlike me, the medications should work better on you."

Bernard moved up the stairs quietly, still smiling and having a whispered chat with Dymphna, who had agreed to make the tea when the King had burst into the kitchen asking how many tea bags he should use for one pot of Villa emblem.
The doe carried the tea tray and the King carried a small vial and a syringe.
Upon reaching the room again, he entered without knocking, gesturing to Dymphna to hold on for a second and coming forward with the vial and needle.
"This will only hurt for a moment..." Bernard murmured, more to his nephew than to the cat. "It should kick in in about ten minutes, it will numb the back of your head, but not your mind, don't worry. Here, stick out your arm, please."
Dymphna quietly placed the tea within reach of her Queen and smiling slightly, handed him an ice pack. Then disappeared out the door. Off to see if her sister's dear children were still in bed where she had left them.
After administering the needle, Bernard stood. Gave a soft smile to his nephew, and slid out the door. Racing off to his room to begin writing down exactly what he had done for future reference.
