Kel was pleased to have the cover needed to try the cabinet and wot happens? She doesn't have the key for it. The woman rolled her eyes slightly, though the movement was more fond than anything else. No, no! Focus on your quest, not on Theo's adorable quirks. Her tail twitched slightly and the woman looked quickly over her shoulder to make sure she didn't actually tap one of the decorative vases. She sighed in relief to see that she had missed by quite a bit. With a little more care with her tail, she began to look around.
It seemed almost like fate that her eye lit upon the first of some of the lock-picking tools. Aha. Well, she's certainly seen Theofilus pick it enough times. She'd even read two books on the subject. Theo had picked this one enogh times that even her inexperience shouldn't be too great a barrier to overcome. That was one of the tool sneeded and the other one had a sharp curve at the end..... Aha! There it was!
Rounded ears remained up and she kept half of her attention listening for the boys even as she started her attempt to pick the lock. A loose lock, she only had to work at it for a few minutes before she was able to get it open. She listened for Xanthe's continued and crazed actions and quickly pulled out the goblet and pushed the cabinet closed again.
The skunk quickly returned the lockpicking tools to where she'd picked them up. She had to get back out of the suite now too.

Xanthe suddenly looked up from her trashing of her favorite toy. She had noticed that something was going on and she wasn't invited. Fine then, she would make herself invited. With another loud squeak of her toy she ran forward.
And knocked the vase off its stand. The pieces of it scattered across the floor. Zane cursed from inside the room and flung the door open to scold the bander who was very much running back into her little safe haven. The sparrow gave a frustrated sigh and looked at the remainder of the vase on the floor. Shaking his head the sparrow wandered over to the proper place to get a dust pan.
Then he noticed something. His eyes widened briefly as he walked over to the glass cabinet. Dad's goblet was very much missing. His heart skipped a beak as he hastily swept up the mess and left it in the corner where no one would trip over it. With amazing speed, which was probably due to his suit, he was over by the door. "Eilwyn, I'm going to run to dad's office, see you in a bit."
He was out of the door before Eilwyn could respond. The eagle walked out of his room and peaked around the corner. "Hello? Is someone... there?" He could have sworn he heard someone still in the room. It felt like that. He was pretty sure there was someone over by the door, but he obviously couldn't see them.
However he was far away enough that Kelasia could slip out of the room as long as she smoothly shut the door without it's usual click. Now all she need to do was run back to Theofilus' office and politely knock.

It was unfortunate, but as soon as Xanthe made her dash, the skunk made her escape, flying swiftly to the door. The crash of the vase easily covered the sound of the door opening and, as she cringed, she used Zane's words to get out in the hall. Well. Blast. The woman took only a very brief moment to take a deep breath, then she darted through the halls, flying a few pathways over before reappearing when she was certain no one else was around.
She brushed back her silvery mane and took the last few steps around the corner and to Theofilus' door. She smiled lightly at the guards there and knocked gently and rather uneasily at the door. The vase hadn't been her fault, but she still felt rather responsible. She hoped Theofilus wouldn't count that against her. Her rounded ears went back as she listened for the man inside.

Zane was already in the office by the time Kelasia had made it there. Spade speed was all he really needed. And there he was in Theofilus office when Kelasia opened the door.
He had a rather dejected look on his face while his father was snickering almost to the point of tears. He looked up at Miss Kelasia and the goblet in her hand. Wait.... wait. "You mean...?" Zane began to ask until his father waved a hand to cut him off.
"Sorry, lost my composure for a bit there," he said with a cough to cover up another fit of laughter. "You should have seen the look on Zane's face when he explained everything to me in a about a minute's time." The sparrow stood up, and quite carefully navigated his way over to Kelasia, a smile still very much on his face.
"You did a fantastic job. Neither of my sons, or even my bander suspected you. Not only that, but you managed to get rid of that horrible vase unintentionally," He said as he waved his hand over her mark, the letter changing into a lovely glowing K. "On that keyring I gave you, the key with two diamonds on it, is the key to your new room. I do hope you like the new view."
He grinned at the woman before carefully taking the goblet from her hands. The Queen offered it to his son, who accepted it with a rather confused look still painted on his face. He wasn't sure how to take a laugh at his own expense. Hopefully future King Quests had nothing to do with him.
"After you're done inspecting your new room, stop by again so we can celebrate, Your Highness Kelasia," Theofilus said as he returned to his desk.

Kel wasn't really surprised to see Zane there, but she had rather hoped to be able to report wot had occurred. This did, however, save her from having to explain the broken vase, which, fotunately, Theofilus didn't seem to mind.
Still, with Zane's explanation there, the woman was rather surprised that Theo accepted her. Though, of course, she was certainly pleased. "I'm sorry to have disturbed you, Zane," she said softly. "Please apologize to Eilwyn for me as well."
She pulled out the keyring and swiftly found the appropriate key. She pulled it off and shyly returned the rest to Theofilus. She smiled at the two men, and within her shone the deep set of her pleasure at finishing her quest. She bowed to the Queen of Diamonds and then bobbed her head at Zane. She turned and headed out of the room, more pleased than she had ever been before.
