When his hand was caught, Wulfram felt a thrill of surprise rush up his spine in reaction to both the increase to his rank and the way he'd been grabbed though his smile did not diminish in the least. This man was...quite interesting. If crows could purr, Wulfram would have. Instead, however, he made a low sound in the back of his throat that was close enough to said purr that it could not be mistaken.
He would have to be sure to see more of him.
When his hand was released, Wulfram would lean back and slide the key into his pocket before returning his drink to his lips and taking a deep swig. "I em pleased to heff met your approval."
To go or to stay? He would like getting to know more about this interesting Hisstor, on so many levels, for now though, he had nothing to ask that was...well, professional. Another time though, most definitly.
"I do not heff eny qvestions for you et ze moment." He rose smoothly, standing before the King with a half-cocked grin. "But I must insist zat ve heff enother chat soon, ja?" The Tugley paused, an odd glint forming in his eyes. "Unless you heff eny qvestions for me?"
He wasn't at all eager to put an end to this conversation.

The sound the man made was delightful...and something akin to a purr if Varestes was interpreting it correctly... Perhaps this man would be interested in more than just a chat later? Hmmm, he would have to pay him call another evening.
"You have more than my simple approval, Wulfram...I believe you're just what this Court has been looking for. If you ever have any questions, feel free to pay me a visit any time."
He stood and moved over to his shelves, pulling down two books. They were both aging, the paper within slightly yellowed, their leather binding slightly cracked. He handed these to the Tulgey.
"Nor have I any questions for you at this time. Here are some books on a bit of our past...in more detail, should you want to know. And I shall second the suggestion that we meet again soon."
His smile broadened, lips together, blue eyes dancing in the firelight.
"Though for perhaps more than a simple chat. Thank you for your participation, I'm sure I'll be seeing you at dinner at least. Farewell, Wulfram."

Wulfram accepted the books graciously, thumbing them absently. Depending on what language they were in Wulfram would have to take them to Lenore for proper translations - his common was rather rusty, honesty, and he did much better in their Court language or Tugley. It was improving drastically with how often he frequented the City but it was still easier to get his little raven to translate for him.
Speaking of, he really would have to bring his pet up to speed on the events. He'd been keeping a great deal from her as of late.
Ah well, that would be settled after dinner. For the time being, Varestes had the whole of his focus. "Zat sounds vonderful, Your Highness." With a suggestive hint placed upon both 'wonderful' and 'your highness', Wulfram's grin grew a little. More than a chat, hm? He hadn't even left yet and already he couldn't wait. "I look forvard to seeink you for dinner then. Until zen, auf weidersehen."
