She as well made sure to pay attention to the fine dinner, in fact, for a spell it was hard not to. A hard day's flight had made her extremely hungry, but she managed to consume the high quality food in a ladylike manner despite the desperation that her stomach was influencing onto her. His response to her polite enquiry pleased her, she didn't know many with anything personal against Morganberry or those from it, and she really couldn't complain about his opinion of the courts.
It most certainly wasn't all sunshine and respectable practices, but the court of Hearts was going through a tough transition that would hopefully end up for the better. Though it was really up in the air right now, despite Shinrai being THE Queen, that didn't make his position solid unless he and she, and any of his other allies, could keep it that way. In a way, she felt the addition of a new Highland Champion to the courts would tell of some solidity; they weren't intending on going anywhere or letting any further chaos occur.
"My, my. This truly is fortunate, I happen to be rather partial to all their colours." She couldn't help but let her eyes go a little wide at the assorted trio, all so beautiful in their own way. Her eyes were instantly drawn to the purple and the silver-grey, both quite opposite ends of the spectrum but equally as fetching. The gray spoke of elegance, while the purple was more bold and in your face beautiful, tough choces.
"Might I enquire as to their genders?" She asked, not wanting to be rude and leave the table immediately to inspect them. They probably wouldn't take to that very well anyway, they seemed to be much more interested in a romp around the kitchen table and exploring the scent of stranger in the air as she could tell by a few tentative sniffs and glances in her direction.
"I am so far swayed the most by the purple and the grey, they're a tough choice to choose between." She admitted with a small laugh, watching their different personalities and trying to judge how they might react to her. Hopefully in a few minutes when the meal was over he wouldn't mind her coming to interact with them personally. She just couldn't leave without seeing how they both took to her, appearance wasn't everything as she was going to be spending a potentially great amount of her future life with one of them.
She'd have to stop back in to see the pleasant man who referred her to this breeder, not only for thanks, but also for a leash and a collar, perhaps a tag and a bell or something pampering of the sort. Having never had a pet before, she fully anticipated she'd probably go overboard with the special treatment until she got into the swing of things, but she'd heard Bandersnatches especially enjoyed being treated like royalty.

Paisley watched them explore for a moment before bothering to reply to the woman, a small smile touching his muzzle at their antics. "The purple is a male, the other two female. They are quite the attractive litter. I've had compliments from several of my associates on them, since it isn't quite so common to see such a nice mix all in one go. I've been tempted to keep one as breeding stock, but their parents are both quite young and I'm more interested in pursuing them at the moment."
He reached down and caught up the purple kit as it walked by. At its cough of indignation, its gray sibling looked up and he caught it as well, holding them both in his lap. The purple began gnawing on his hand while the gray just flopped over and stared at him, sinking a set of claws into his leg. He didn't seem particularly bothered by either action.

((I don't know if the token records have been updated recently but I'm pretty sure I have just about the right amount for both :3))
She couldn't help but grin as she watched the purple be scooped up, a slight look of shock and indignation crossing his feral feature before he settled into the man's lap with a contented gnaw of his hand. A chuckle escaped her at this, and she rather enjoyed watching how timid the grey female was as a sharp comparison. She seemed rather interested in her brother and where he was, she'd hate to seperate them... but that was also just the fact that she was having such a hard time choosing between them that swayed her mind.
"I can't say I've ever seen a more perfect complete litter before, you are very talented with breeding Banders." She paused a moment and put a finger to her lips, wincing as she knew the question was coming. She would probably have Just Barely enough for both, but gods, it would be worth it, they were such a pair.
"I don't suppose I could sway you into letting both go? I can't choose between them to be honest, and they seem quite happy as a pair. I should have just enough to cover the two of them." She admitted, feeling sheepish for not having better self control. She wasn't an impulsive spender, so this was completely unusual for her. They just both pulled on her heart with every movement and she knew if she left one behind, no matter who she choose, she'd always miss the other.
Agh. Nobody had told her they were so damn easy to get attached to! Tentatively, she reached her hand out towards the grey, allowing her to register the doe's scent before stroking her behind an ear.

Paisley was a man to appreciate flattery, especially when he heartily agreed with it. He'd been working for years with his banders, learning the delightful creatures from childhood in the village and continuing with the lines his uncle had bred for decades. He counted himself as quite talented in what he did, which was why most people referred him as the preeminent breeder in the village. He knew and loved his banders.
One eyebrow rose in a very slow and very deliberate arch at her question. "Both. You are interested in... both. While I cannot fault your taste, as both kits are more than exceptional examples of the species and color, forgive me if I question your funding. You must have some inkling as to the price I charge, coming to see me as you have. Are you really willing to bankrupt yourself so badly?" Few people could make such a purchase lightly and while it was true that as a titled member of the Court of Hearts her normal expenses such as lodging and food would be covered there, a transaction of this magnitude would affect anyone.

It was all she could do not to tap her hands in nervousness on the edge of the chair as she waited for his response with baited breath. She really had her heart set on this and there was no going back now, even though she would indeed almost bankrupt herself with the transaction. He was a prime breeder, and that kind of experience went along with a hefty fee. These Bandersnatches were exceptional though, and she didn't know if she'd ever find any others to rival them, or even equal their greatness. The leftovers would probably be gone in less than a week if suitable owners with enough cash arrived to see them. This just wasn't a batch anyone with even a vague interest in Banders could happily turn away from.
"Not at all, I anticipate them being... considerably more expensive than any others I might come across. But you pay for what you receive, and while asking for directions I got a quick price up of your usual costs. Even if these are a bit more expensive than your regular batches, I should have just enough to cover them. Unfortunately, this will mean tapping into savings but really... I know I would forever regret leaving one of them behind. A little financial instability for a little while will be more than worth it." Not to mention, she was quite a hoarder. She actually probably had considerably more in savings than she could remember, having the tendency to just stash more away at random intervals. She pampered herself so very rarely.
"If you give me a price and your consent, I will be glad to pay you up front and return for the Banders in the morning. It is far too late for me to travel back to the palace and guarantee both their safety, and I intend on staying at an inn for the night. If it is no trouble for you, I figured they'd be much better suited spending the night in your breathtaking mansion than a shabby little room at an inn." Not that it was particularily unsafe, she hadn't heard of anyone bold enough to try and outright steal a Bandersnatch from someone walking along, but she was tired and the trip home would take half a day to a whole day on foot now. She didn't like the idea of trying to trek back with no sleep in the pitch black darkness.

One of the kits, the purple, stood and took a dive for the floor. His gray sister perked her head up and looked slightly alarmed, going to the edge to look down and see where he'd gone. Paisley was generally quite amused by their antics. Kittens never failed to bring out his sense of humor. They were just ridiculously adorable in youth. And adulthood. He just didn't share this opinion out loud.
"Considering that you say you possess the resources, and also that you have quite the suitable environment in which they can roam, I would be willing to sell you both of the kits provided that you ask your Queen for advice whenever necessary and follow said advice. He has experience with raising a bandersnatch of this caliber and you may well need his assistance."
He quoted her the price and waited for her reaction. If it was favorable, he would complete the transaction and show her to the door.

Watching the kits, she found herself completely transfixed on their interaction. They truly were a pair, they belonged together, she could tell by how much the grey seemed to need to know what her brother was doing. She'd already decided upon this, but if she hadn't before, those moments would have cemented it anyway. Much like Paisley, she was very amused by them in general, and they never ceased to make her grin.
"Thank you very much Paisley, for everything. I will certainly remember your advice, I assume His Majesty Shinrai won't mind ah, guiding me through the few learning curves that come up. Though I think they'll be relatively easy to handle so long as they're together." She paused when he stated the price, her mouth making an 'o' of speechlessness before she blushed and went searching for the required amount. It was scary how close she was cutting it with how much she'd had on her. Thank GOD she always came with at least double what she expected to spend, for emergency's sake.
"Sounds fair to me. Here you are." She counted the money out before dropping it into a small red velvet sack for him to count out himself or just stash away, waiting for his reaction while being unable to completely divert her attention from the rambunctious purple and the peaceful grey.

"I'm quite curious to see how long you'll keep thinking that," Paisley said, tone filled with droll amusement. It was true that sometimes having two banders bounce off of one another let them blow off steam without being an utter nuisance to their owner. It was also true that over half the time that thinking backfired and they got into twice as much trouble as they would have otherwise. Being such a naturally destructive species, the latter was usually magnified when they were still so young.
He accepted the coin and counted it out on the dining room table calmly. It was a very large amount and he wanted to make sure that she had given him the correct amount and not shortchanged him, intentionally or not. It ended up totaling properly and he offered her his hand for a small, formal shake. "Very well. Enjoy your stay in the village inn - the owner's a bit of a chatterbox but her establishment is more than adequate. I will see you come tomorrow."
((Aaaand... I think we're done. X3))
