"Oh, I noticed," Ira said easily, leaning against the petulant Se again. The hybrid flattened his ears and bared his teeth in warning, but the teal equine ignored the hostility to eye the creature standing before them. Dad didn't seem to think much of Lowlanders, but Mother absolutely abhorred them. This one didn't appear to be full-blooded, though it wasn't like that really mattered. The poor thing was doomed to a life of hatred and maybe even pity just because of his heritage.
Ira wouldn't necessarily dislike the creature, but the thing was evidently full of self-pity; wot he'd overheard thus far made it evident. He knew the Eir would pick up on it in a heartbeat; Eir was notoriously short-tempered when it came to self pity. Actually, Eir was just notoriously short-tempered. That made the horse smirk, a look which didn't bode well for the rat hybrid even though Ira wasn't even thinking about him for the moment. His next words were also directed to the rat mix, making the smirk seem even moreso directed at the lower ranked creature.
"Maybe if you found a way to cover that rot up, people wouldn't immediately hate you."
Se snorted at Ira's words, "That's a lie, Ira. It couldn't get away from being hated no matter wot it did."

No matter what it did. While his siblings squabbled at each other, malicious little thoughts began to dance in Eir's head, each more wicked and appealing than the last. If the little rat thought the world was cruel, then Eir would make it cruel. Or, rather, he knew someone who could. The greatest evil he knew, who made door-to-door salesman wet themselves and kittens cry. Who drank heavily and happened to have a lovely singing voice. The first part contributed mightily to the evilness factor, but it was really the second part he was interested in. And then there was evil's consort--well, one of them, anyway--who could add his own mania to the bunch.
He hoped he could convey his idea to his siblings without letting the rat-child get a real clue.
"You're totally right," he told Ira. "Just need to cover the rot up! And I know just the people." He smiled widely at the rat. Eir did not have a pleasant smile. Naturally the curling of his mouth and the exposure of his teeth made him look kind of like a particularly predatory and hungry vampire who was about to lunge for the neck; Eir had taken this delightful base and added, with much practice in front of the mirror, layers of malice and a hint of madness. "My mum makes salves, sometimes, and my auntie would just LOVE to mutate your problems away! You should come home with us."
Not that the rat would have a choice, really, but giving lip-service to free will was a good decision, he thought.

Well, it seemed the three couldn't get along for long periods of time, so that might prove beneficial to the little half rodent. He had another ace up his sleeve, but he wouldn't use it until he had to, he wasn't even entirely sure if it'd do much good here anyhow. He just knew that rotten feeling in his chest was growing, and he didn't like it. These three had nothing but ill intentions, and he didn't like it one bit. He had to find a way to escape them, but how?
He listened to everything they said, keeping at least one ear on them as he peered around the little alleyway looking for any small spaces or other easy escape paths for him. Rounded auds slipped back against his skull at what Eir had said. That couldn't be any good if it came from one of their mouths. He fanned out the feathers on his tail and shook his head, returning his gaze back to the trio and said one simple word, with as much force as he could muster.
No.

"The little piece of *#&$ doesn't deserve Mom's attention," Se retorted tightly, ignoring the rat thing's response. He didn't care wot plan Eir might have, the blasted little mix before them shouldn't learn where they lived anyway. He obviously had no redeeming factors and definitely was entirely worthless.
"Oh, shove it, Se," Ira replied cheerily, continuing on as though he hadn't heard the rat hybrid's answer either. "So.... Wotever your name is, you really do need to come meet Father. She's absolutely marvelous and perfectly and entirely helpful to anyone in trouble." For a price. "She'll be simply mad about you."
"It's not coming home with us!" Se retorted angrily. "It's disgusting and doesn't deserve any sort of opportunities from Mom." He hated that his older brothers would just run roughshod over his own plans and desires. Freakin' jerks.

Eir watched the exchange between his older and younger brother with curiosity, all the while keeping an eye on the rat spawn to make sure it didn't try to run off. Normally he would yell at them to stop bickering or beat them up or something, but here their argument might actually serve a purpose in persuading the Lowlander-mix. If one of them didn't want the winged rat to see Mother, then perhaps it actually was safe to see Mother.
He was still prepared to grab the runt at a moment's notice and drag him off forcefully, and a little violence would even be fun, the terrible psychological trauma that would ensue from the rat actually trusting them a little bit would be a good deal sweeter than a momentary outburst of aggression.
So, for the time being, he merely stood there, and watched.

He fanned the feathers on his tale, growing quite bored of the trio's presence, well, not bored morel like sick. They were annoying, and full of themselves and just couldn't get along. If they were like this then he didn't want to meet their parents, strictly for their own behavior. He was also growing steadily more uneasy about their intentions. And he definitely wasn't going with them just to spite one of them, he wanted to leave and go against all of their wishes, but he was sure they weren't going to let him go casually strolling by with a 'hey, see you guys later!' Still, he was a child, and a rather unintimidating one at that, he wasn't sure what to do.
I'm not going with you!
His fur bristled a bit with his response this time around, he very much didn't want to go and, even though he knew it would end badly, he'd fight them if he had to. But he didn't to do that, but it might just come down to it.

"Like &$## you're not!" Se burst out abruptly, turning on the other hybrid with wings mantling over his golden back. "You have absolutely no say in wot's going to occur to you now because you're the one dumb enough to show your ugly face in public." He showed glinting white teeth in an over threat.
Ira gave a deep chuckle through his teal chest and he pushed off of his brother to circle around the hybrid rat, tail flicking in an indolent motion. With Eir and Se still in position they now had the creature surrounded. "Well, like it or not," the equine remarked lightly. "It looks like you really don't have an choice in the matter. Even if Se wasn't on our side before, it certainly looks like he is now. Thanks, you just made our lives that much easier." He smirked darkly again as Se's tail twitched in frustration.

Tavor stiffened at the sudden burst from the yellow hybrid, all of his fur bristling and standing on end. Great, things just got that much harder for him. Why didn't they just leave him be? Hadn't they better things to do to begin with? Very well, but he wasn't going to go with them without at least some sort of a struggle.
He rose onto all fours and curled his tail upward, rattling it against the wall he'd been sitting near, as a warning of his intentions. He didn't much think it would do him that much good, but you never knew. He also puffed up his small frame, trying to appear larger then he was. He was a rat, a child rat, and thus he was smaller then these other children of roughly the same age.
He moved away from the wall at the one began to circle him and he chattered in his direction, not much else he could do really. Just wait until one of those sorry....-beasts- comes near me...

That the little rat hadn't given up yet was interesting. And annoying. Part of him thought that just leaving and going to torture Helena or put an end to the suffering of one of Aunt Minh's banders would be a better use of his time, but he was committed now, and he was going to see it through. To put the rat in his place, at least.
With that thought in mind, Eir concentrated all of his attention on making the rat miserable. He had discovered this particular talent some time ago, when Iphis had left one of his stupid creepy dolls lying in the living room and Eir had tripped on it. His little brother had passed out after five minutes of wailing, and his mother, in a rare moment of parental indignation, had nearly killed him, but he was too delighted by the discovery to care about either his brother's pain or his mother's wrath.
And the rat was only one rank higher than Iphis. It shouldn't take much longer than it had with his brother.
"Grab him," Eir said, and to keep him in place while the pain magic worked its wonders, Eir raised a hoof and slammed it down at the rat's wings.

He went to make a move to get away, only to be caught by one of his more delicate features. He was jerked back and received a painful jerk as well. He gave a little cry, even though he'd tried quite hard not to, the less pleasure he gave these freaks the better, really. He turned his attention directly on Eir and narrowed those pretty blue eyes of his at him, not thinking it would do any good. He felt, odd, but at the same time he was angry. How dare he lay a hand on him! Well, he had a little discovered trick up his sleeve as well, one that probably wouldn't be quite as spectacular, but effective none the less.
He focused on the one who'd touched him first, only to have this sudden, unnerving feeling of... pain. It was completely and totally unbearable and he even felt a bit of nausea to go with it. What was this brute of a child doing to him? His eyes widened before he felt himself going even more downhill. He couldn't take it and the vermin hybrid merely slipped into a state of unconsciousness, his small form slumping to the alleyway floor before the little monster, leaving him completely to the wills of the trio.
