Ooh. I'm seeing some tempting stuffs so far...
Knowing me, I probably won't be able to stand to keep this open for more than a day or two more cause when stuff starts coming in, I'll start having more awesomeness to pick from. Which will be hard. XD Hee.

Hmm...I actually do have characters that would be interested given the chance.
Roxanne and either Trinculo (most likely him) or Julius
Roxanne is a strange person in some respects, and would probably be intregued enough by rumors of a map to sort of lazily search for it, though if she cought wind of such a thing she would most likely heat up the chase until she was able to require it, from one of her whores or for herself.
I imagine her interest in it would be for the same reason she has any intrest in things involving wealth or money. Shes probably thinking something along the lines of "If the treasure is real: Treasure = Money. Money = More funds for the Strip Joint" There no saying weather shed take a piece of treasure for herself or not...but the majority of the treasure would go to the Strip Joint for her whores and for more security. Shes constantly looking out for the welbeing of her gang, because they are like family to her. And if a sence of fun and adventure as well as a duty to family isnt enough of a modivation XD; then Roxanne isn't sure what is.
She'd probably leave Julius to run things while she was gone...(since he is the most responcible one) but she wouldn't leave without one of them...probably Trinculo, since he tends to be the 'funner' of the two guards, and on a long trip like this you usually need someone to sing road trip songs or something while you travel XD;
As to how exactly she got the map....shes a whore >.>; She probably has plenty of connections and faithful regulars that between her own gang and friends on the outside of it...they'd catch enough wind of its whereabouts that she could track it. But that's just my guessing ^^;

Note/Warning/Something: Okay, so...in all my plotting... This got a bit long winded and I apologize now for that...but I enjoyed the lil prompt greatly. XD
Alright... so taking in consideration that Kaden is little and lacks his bipedal form but desperately wants to hunt for treasure and mingle among pirates...Vyn had totally decided that he would do best to go with someone who is less little and DOES have hands with which to defend themselves (and now Kaden, of course). [cough] Considering that Xylia is full of adventure lust and wants to go as well, I'm totally thinking of pairing them up for this scenario. XD
Being the terrible little independent miscreant that he is, 15 year old Kaden would have slipped into a rather seedy little pub in the Capital with the intention of trying to con the tender into a drink. However, he encounters a horribly trashed man mumbling incoherently about pirates and treasure and clutching a dirty map in his hand.
"For the papers, the papers!, call to the wooden legs and..." The man would begin to mumble to himself, his hand relaxing on the map so that it fell to the table limply, and Kaden would take his chance in a flurry of movement and feathers and color and be off in a blurry flash of little mutt-bird as the drunken man yelled from behind: "Do not to touch their bellybuttons!" Before promptly passing out on the table.
Considering that the majority of witnesses to his crime were both drunk and as seedy as the pub they drank in, Kaden was not pursued by any of the patrons as he made his way for the door. The door stood open, the empty night air and victory beyond and then, quite abruptly, he'd hit a wall. Or, not really a wall, but a pair of legs belonging to a very camouflaged doe that had just so happened to witness his little act of mischief.
Xylia scowled down at the sheepishly beaming and foolishly dizzy little bird, shifting the smooth green cloak she wore to reveal the emerald-studded hilt of a sword at her hip. "You ought to give that back, kid, just because he's a drunk doesn't give you the right to steal from him."
Kaden's reply was as stubborn as his act and spoken around a piece of map. "Does so." He moved quickly, darting around the doe and attempting to put some space between him and the pub, but Xylia intercepted him again though the door swung closed behind them.
"Give it back, you've not right at all. It might be important to him."
Kaden dipped his head and set the paper on the ground where it would sit rather firmly beneath a taloned foot. If she tried to grab it it would tear and then where and her noble intentions be?! "What if its not though?! It's a treasure map, you see! And where there's treasure maps there are pirates and ADVENTURE!"
Xylia, as anyone that knew her would know, was a sucker for cute children and -even more so- adventure. Treasure maps did often lead to adventure and, well...the man had been terribly drunk. He probably wouldn't even miss it... "Alright, alright. You can keep the map on one condition."
The bird puffed up, grinning. "Name it!"
"I get to come and we split whatever treasure we find, if we find it."
Kaden considered this and the fact that the woman was obviously a bit more equipped to traveling and adventure, what with having her biped and all. He fluffed up, looking proud and roguish all at once. "Deal!"
Note: ...You can all thank Spideth<3 for the drunken ramblings. XD

I'm insanely interested in this idea, but Adia isn't. In fact I'm sure that if she ever found a pirate map, she'd auction it on Ebay. Although, I do have a GREEAAATT idea as to how she would happen across it, considering she makes frequent trips to the library.

I just can't resist
Blyn was on a mission, a mission to be a queen. He was lacking several things, funding mainly, and a few smaller things, but those just weren't all that important at this time. Small things were easy to come by, a large pot of gold on the other hand was not. He lifted a paw to the bag he carried around his neck, containing all the small treasure he had collected over the years. The collection had dwindled over the past few months. . .he did have to pay his way in life after all, not that all the things he had paid for were exactly need for survival.
Today he was searching a local bookshop. For some reason he had decided on a small vacation in a newly discovered area. He didn't really need the vacation, but he was lazy sometimes and any excuse to lounge about and do little to nothing was good for him. He wasn't really sure why he had decided to go into the bookshop, he had just felt a tug of sorts when he walked by, a tug that he just couldn't explain.
While browsing through a book on local folklore, a tattered looking piece of paper fell out. Curious as he was, he couldn't help but pick it up and see what it was. Maybe it would be something useful, maybe it was nothing more than trash. The feline in him just couldn't resist a look. He picked up the piece of paper, turning it in his paws before spreading it out on the floor. What the bloody hell is this? He quickly looked around to make sure that no one had heard his small outburst. It wouldn't do for people to think he was crazy. He looked back at the piece of paper, completly baffled at his find. It looked to be a treasure map. At the top of the map there were words that read "Pinkbeards Treasure" It couldn't be real, it just couldn't.
Since the map had fallen out of a book on local folklore, he grabbed the book and looked for any reference to Pinkbeard. He found several stories about what seemed to be a pirate chipmunk. This was just too good to be true. He smiled to himself and slipped the map back into the book. He hurried to the owner of the store and paid the price for the book in full, something he very rarely did. Once paid for, he hurried from the shop to find someplace quiet where he could think.

*coughs* Quinn wanted to narrate her decision.
--
"-and don't come back until you've got whatever it is out of your system!" Vessatha's dulcet tones pierced the morning air of the Court of Spades, a rather heavy object of indeterminable origin following in her voice's path to nearly brain the scrambling otter. Harlequinn managed to duck the whatever-it-was, and glanced toward the door where a particularly-enraged ferret glared at her, a quartet of curious children gathered behind her. Quinn wasn't entirely sure what it was that had set off her lovely one this time, whether it was actually her fault or if something else had happened, but she was well aware that it would probably be in her best interest to vacate Vessa's presence for the next...while.
Well, if she didn't want her mate to acquire a lovely black-and-white rug, that was.
"Of course, O Moon of My Delight!" she crooned, absently dodging something else - Vessatha wouldn't even come close enough to bite her as she usually did, how terrible! - and then added, "I shall write you letters as often as I can, to allow you to know how dearly my heart misses you!" With that she hightailed it out of there, because the Forester had started reaching for the breakables, and glass really was quite difficult to remove from fur.
However, this meant that she was left to her own devices for however long it would take her beloved to calm down, and that could take anywhere from a few minutes to forever, she thought. Which meant that she had to entertain herself. Which...wasn’t really all that difficult, actually. She had some old pieces of information stashed away in some of her apartments, the ones that she kept around the Capital for various versions of her guises. She hadn’t visited some of them in a while, so maybe it would be best to stop by a couple and find out if there was anything she could do. Maybe a few jobs to take?
The Joker turned for the Capital City, waiting until she reached the outskirts of the Court of Spades before leaping up into the sky, her body shifting until a pink-and-gold kite from the Yarrow Gardens sailed through the sky, long wings carrying her aloft toward her destination. It didn’t take her too long, and Quinn was soon bounding through the city itself, body a rangy hound from the Selkie Lakes with a scarred face, a younger version of a Card she’d seen so very long ago. She called out greetings in a male voice, and then skidded into her apartment, switching deftly to the Bipedal form as she went, and headed for one of the compartments she stored things in.
Where was it, where was it, where...there! Carefully she unrolled the map in her hands, blue-and-white head tilted in consideration. She’d found this at the back of a cave when on an old job, and kept it because the client had said she could keep anything other than the requested item. A treasure map, huh?
This’d keep her out of Vessatha-love’s hair for quite some time...

The tale of Pinkbeard was one that every Midori boy and girl learned when they were little; a tale to inspire fear and awe, to entertain and humble... To many Midori he was a tale of a horrible man filled with greed. To some though, he was a legend that demanded respect.
Zuberi's own mother had entertained her with the stories of Pinkbeard, and at a young age the squirrel would play by herself amongst the great rocks in the cove, leaping from stone to stone as she fought an invisible foe with driftwood... enemy pirates who dared defy her captain.. her Pinkbeard. Some of the children made fun of her for her obsession, and only under their constant harrassment did she relent in her antics. Still, the legendary pirate never left her dreams.
Puberty brought on new feelings... a small crush on the figure which she thought a man should be like. Powerful and daunting.. sure of himself... With a beard as full and vibrant as the great pink corals in the seas. Pinkbeard was long and dead. Some even said that he was a legend and nothing more, but Zuberi always knew deep in her very heart that it was no myth. If the world was unable to have had such a perfect male within it... that was not a world that the squirrel wished to live in.
The map.. oh the map! Zuberi couldn't do more than sleep with it beside her, tracing her pawpads over the old parchment. She shivered visibly as she touched it, knowing that Pinkbeard himself may have held this very scroll, wrote it with his own hands.. A sigh. Was it possible for ghosts to exist? To love?
Ah yes, the treasure.. wealth? That really didn't concern Zuberi as much as she thought it would. No, she wanted it.. because it belonged to her beloved Pinkbeard, so meticulously put away so that those who were unworthy of its wonders would never lay their greedy, dirty paws on it. But she.. his biggest and most devoted fan.. she had found the way.. the aged and weathered markings that would tell her the way to go. Truly, she would be the one worthy?
Yes. She was the only one who deserved this! It belonged to her! Trembling, her lips pursed to gently kiss the worn papyrus sheet, as if she could find a lingering taste of the one man she desired. "Only me..."
((Haha, I have figured out Zuberi's sexual dysfunction -and- gave her an unhealthy obsession to boot! Wow. Just.. wow. XD))

Oh yes, and -how- she acquired it... Revisiting her cove, of course, finding a small, cramped cave within the crevices of the great rocks she used to play in, where she dreamed of her dear, beloved Pinkbeard. I'd think maybe a great storm helped wear away a great stone slab that had covered the entrance for so long.
