And the lowland rat was out and about again, and in the city to boot! He was restless, and agitated and why couldn't these bloody headaches stop? He'd been utterly miserable these past few months and it was beginning to show, he looked a bit more haggard then usual. He'd attempted a visit to a healer, but the man had agitated him to the point where he was liable to tear him limb from limb and thus the King had let himself out, grumbling all the while. Teas didn't really help either, they only seemed to dull the pounding in his head... but at least it wasn't constant. In fact, after he'd gotten out and taken a nice, long walk, it seemed his last migraine had dissappeared.... lovely! However, that didn't exactly improve his mood a bit... and he'd forgotten just much he hated being out in large crowds. People were just so.... utterly.... stupid! And they were all looking at him, raising an eyebrow... as if they were better! Ungh, there he went again, off on another random and pointless fit of rage. He sighed softy to himself and brought a hand up to rub his eyes. He also began to walk to the side of the street, hoping to maybe stand in the shade for a bit... but... alas, there was someone in the way that just didn't move fast enough and the King felt them as he ran into them, or tripped over them. (depending on your chosen form XD )

(Dilis is a Jack now btw. She's still however living at home in Avington until the thread with Queen Aderlass ends and she gets her key.) Father was coming back tomorrow from his trip and Dilis had wanted to buy him a present before he arrived. She was walking down the street, in her own little world when all of a sudden a lowlander was coming at her. She supposed he did not see her as he just about crashed into her. As he got closer she realized it was one of the Kings of Diamonds.. Osias, yes King Osias was his name. " I-I beg your pardon King Osias. That was very clumsy of me and I do apologize." Father had warned her of interactions with him, claiming him to be a bit cruel and may not be kind to her.... he even had rumors of doing awful unspeakable things to young girls. He would not say what but he did say that Majida was not the same after her encounter with him. In fact... Osias looked a lot like Tavor who she had met not long ago. He could not be.... oh god... That must be... what he meant... Feeling a bit of fear now for her bout of realization, she looked up at him cowering. His appearance alone was frightening; he was wrapped in bandages and some kind of... goo... was coming from his eyes... " I-..." She tried to speak but words failed her as she looked at him face to face. She normally did not feel fear for another card but King Osias... well it was hard not to.

His eyes flew open, revealing themselves to be a rather lovely shade of gold, or at least they would have been should they be on anyone but a lowlander. His expression was one of sincere disapproval. He was about to open his mouth, which presently held a distasteful sneer, and give her quite a piece of his mind when he stopped, rounded auditories perking ever so slightly. She knew his name? That was different. But then again, a Lowlander climbing to the rank of King would warrant some attention, he supposed. It would be far worse when he made his way into the Court, but wouldn't it be wonderful then? something akin to feminine glee welled up inside him for a moment before it was utterly squashed, what kind of emotion was that? He certainly wished he could figure out what was going on in his mind.
However, for her, it was indeed a good thing her father taught her of somewhat no-name face cards because it placated the beast for the most part, at least for now. She was making quite a big mistake though, letting her fear show as she did. It made another beast stir as well as making the sneer twist up into a somewhat predatory smile. However, he was a Diamond and should he feel the need he would not hesitate to use his most natural of gifts, that old Diamond Charm.
She was a rather pretty girl, somewhat daft it seemed, but looks wise he could certainly deal with her. Perhaps a bit of fun would ease his mind?
My dear, how might you know my name?

(Her pearls would cause him to be a little bit more cheery btw just for reference)
She looked at him with big blue eyes, pleading silently. She really did not want to upset this type of King... she was not sure what he would do.
"Well your Highness, Father is very active in the courts so as I was growing he would tell me about all the people in them. It did not matter if he was aligned with one court, he would tell me of all of them. It is important being a Jack as I am to know who else is in the courts (surrounding and my own) as Queen Aderlass has taught me as of late."
So far, he had not gotten mad nor had he hurt her in any way... perhaps the encounter would not be so unpleasant?
No. That was too much to hope for, images of Majida and Tavor kept spinning in her head. Oh God... what have I gotten myself into...

He was beginning to feel better just being near this little feline, and he liked it. He listened to her story with mild interest, her father knew of him as well? My my, what a clever man he must be, he'd certainly have to try and look him up one day, wouldn't he?
When she was done speaking he'd move closer to her, inspecting her thoroughly. Yes, he was definitely feeling more like himself, or, rather, feeling well enough to be himself. The end of his tail curled upward and his expression was that of intrigue, although any expression he ever exhibited never really seemed quite... pleasant.
Might I get the name of such a smart kitten?
His voice held a certain tone to it, one that was the vermin equivalent of a purr. His hormones were screwy and were definitely taking him into a completely opposite train of thoughts and feelings then he'd started his day with and in all honesty, he couldn't quite complain.

Oh my, I might actually make it through this. Is he.. um... happy? It was hard to tell if a lowlander was happy, they always looked angry and terrifying and now was no exception. His tail had curled upward and he had moved closer to her and that startled her at first. He was uncomfortably close however she was way too well-mannered to bother saying anything.
"My name is Dilís, Dilís Ó Braoin, it is a pleasure your highness... what might you be doing out and about like this" She smiled weakly. He had made an odd noise at her, it kind of unsettled her a little bit.
"I heard of your recent tussle in the courts and I hope you were not hurt too badly." Perhaps if she was nice to him, he could not do anything too awful to her... She would find out soon whether or not she were right.

He'd mark that last name off in the back of his mind and keep it for later, it might be quite a good idea to find this father of hers at some point and see just what he knew, although Osias really had nothing to hide anymore, it was just a good idea. You know, in case he had to set him straight on a few of his facts that is. His ears swiveled back a bit though, as her question made him think about his present under the weather feelings again, which consequently brought a scowl to his muzzle.
I've been having rather terrible headaches as of late and I was hoping some fresh air would chase them away.
He certainly was a fickle creature, flitting back and forth between pleasant, or at least decently so, and agitated and rude. And he seemed to have just switched again, heading back into his more pleasant mannerisms.
And you m'dear Dilis, what brings a young Jack to the city?
He gave her a toothy smile, exposing those yellowed fangs. However, he had enough sense in his head to also activate his diamond ability and slowly lace himself with charm, charm he certainly did not posses on any natural level.

Headaches? Well, that was awful… she wished there was a way she could help but she was not terribly adept at cures for headaches. Oh... he was speaking to her again…
“Me? Well, Father is coming back tomorrow from his trip and I had wanted to buy him a present before he arrived. He always brings me back gifts so I thought perhaps I could return the favor.” He sickened her a bit with his yellow fanged smile but she had enough common sense not to make that aware.
“I am terribly sorry to hear you suffer from headaches… I only wish there were something I could do to help” She smiled at him coyly.
“I myself only have a friend who knows plants well so whenever I have a headache, I usually just go to see her...” She smiled. She did not really want to take him to see Elyse, he was not a nice sort and she could not unleash that on a friend like her no matter how charming he may have been acting just now.

He nodded, half listening half not. His mind was wandering off onto it's own track and he was having a terrible time keeping it in the here and now. After a moment of short silence however, he managed to pull it back. Plants? He didn't see that as having any real effect, tea was derived from plants wasn't it?
I've tried the teas, but they don't even edge the blinding pain.
He wouldn't normally admit to things like this, but at present he just didn't care. She wasn't anyone important, and actually his momentary attraction to her was wearing thin, in fact she was beginning to disgust him, but at the same time being near her made him feel better, more at peace. It agitated him slightly.
He opened his mouth, prepared to say something else, when another of his headaches rose up to say hello. It was sudden, and quite possibly the worst he'd had to date. His vision blurred and he very nearly lost his balance, stumbling forward a bit and reaching out a hand to try and brace himself against the closest thing, the feline. He let out a choked exclamation of pain, a sound he tried very hard to stop. He other hand moved up to rest the tip of his pointer and middle claws between his closed eyes.
((If you don't object, I will bring in another character next post <3 ))

((Yes, that's fine dear))
"I am sorry to hear that, your highness..." He seemed in so much pain and Dilis started to feel bad for him; no creature should have to live their life in pain no matter how nasty they seemed. King Osias started to rock slightly, like he was about to fall over and grabbed poor Dilis without warning. She grabbed him by the arm and tried her best to hold him up. He had reached his other hand up to his face and was holding it... poor man, his headaches must be worse than I thought.
"Ar-are you alright, sir? come let me get you to sit down for a moment" She led him to a bench and sat down with him, he did not look good and she worried that this headache may prove to damage his health; she hoped it was not the cause though.
Though his appearance was pretty nasty, he himself had not proved to be so. He had been nice to her the whole time and she was glad of it... she would not have known what to do if he had been anything else but this.
