Mnem was actually surprised to silence--something that did not happen very often at all--by the sudden announcement. Regaining her hold on her mental faculties, she took his hand and stood.
"Thank you," she said and, after a beat, decided to have another cup of tea after all. "I can assure that you won't be disappointed." She indulged his curiosity: "The hair was the result of...an accident. I had a potion--a very interesting one, it turns out--poured on my head during an argument." It was the same argument that had led to the original batch of insidious demon spawn, actually, but that was perhaps more of the story than she wanted to divulge at the moment.
"It turned out to be less of a curse than was probably originally intended. It...more or less has a life of its own. If I don't tell it what to do, it tends to wander all over the place. And it...reacts poorly when my emotions run to extremes. It makes multitasking quite simple. Remarkably strong, in most instances." Thick tendrils snaked down, grabbed the chair, and effortlessly lifted it high before putting it back down in its proper place. She grinned somewhat slyly. "You should see what it does to people."

That was utterly fantastic. Utterly fantastic. It took all of Theofilus' will power not to let a happy chirp escape him. "That's amazing!" Theofilus said happily. He clapped his hands together from his excitement. "That is a most fortunate accident. I can't even imagine how much multitasking you can do. And one day, I very much hope to see what it can do to a person. Endless possibilities."
Theofilus caught sight of the clock on the wall. He had an hour before he had another appointment to do something with someone. He would have rolled his eye if he cared enough. Maybe he could put the appointment off for a bit. As irresponsible as it was, he was quite tempted to do it.
He remembered something, and opened one of his desk drawers. He fished around for a few moments before producing the proper key and handing it to Mnem. "This is the key to your new room, I hope you find it suitable for your new status. Also, if you want, we can set up a proper garden for your research that only you would have access too."
(( OOC: <3 you can finish this with your next post. Completely up to you. ))

(OOC: Closing sounds fine. <3 )
She turned the key over in her hand, but what really excited her was the prospect of a garden. The notion of peaceful research and plant-tending had been foreign for some years. She was eager to get re-acquainted with it. No one shrieking, knocking things over, or eating things that most definitely should not be eaten. Her brain was already flooded with layout plans.
"That would be lovely, thank you," she said. Finishing tea and beginning to set up shop here sounded like a fantastic game plan. She would need to collect her plants immediately. And tell Minh that she would need to start ordering take-out and getting her desserts at the cafe. She would manage. Or starve. And when Mnem came by, she would make her a pirate cake or something.
She took another sip of tea, and smiled at her new queen. "Shall we be off?"
