Aha! Perfect example! Sometimes an item could be cursed and can reduce rank, though it's often extreme. When it's going to be that bad, I try to make it predictable...and give it..."advantages". Which Sera doesn't know yet!  Woo! <3 ~Nathalia |

err.. if u buy a spell is the effects of said spell randomly chosen or do you pick its effects o-o

The effects are randomly chosen for you. You can often request what you might like to see, and judging by how many points you spend, I'll go as close to those guidelines as possible. But things will always be tweaked to fit the board.
For Example:
If you sent me 50 points and said you wanted a fire spell that would cause all Cards to melt on impact. I might give you your actual spell that would be more along the lines of "Once a week, you can summon one four foot fireball that will last for twenty seconds. It zooms around according to the caster's wishes and is quite hot. However, it can be put out like ordinary fire, and Spade water douses it entirely."
More points put into it later, might increase it's power, and maybe someday, get it to where you originally wanted, but things do need to be tweaked to keep things from being over powered.
Numbered abilities are always either done by basis (2-10), or completely random (J-Q). Others, you can request guidelines on.

Suggestion! I think we should be able to have Borogoves as familiars (or just pets)! They're the only creature mentioned in Jabberwoky (besides the jabberwok itself) that doesn't really ever appear in SoD. According to Lewis Carrol, they are 'A thin shabby-looking bird with its feathers sticking out all round, "something like a live mop".'
Also, they are described as "Mimsy" which is apparently a combination of Miserable and Flimsy. This sounds like a perfect pet for a lonely Torquehelm. Hint-hint... <3
And sorry if anyone brought this up before, I didn't read all 77 pages of the thread. XD

Okay, so question time, I hope you guys don't mind too much if these have been asked before, but 77 pages is quite a bit to read through..
First off, what does SD mean? XD; I've got a pretty good idea what it refers to and I understand what people mean when they use it, but what does the S and D actually stand for? Suits... Decadence?
I was also looking at the posts and some of the dialogue is in colors (which I believe the colors relate back to specific characters of people to keep things more clear when they have a lot of character?). Do I have to color mine? And I noticed when characters join the role play they post the pictures of their characters, is this something everyone has to do? (I don't mind it, I just need to know. XD)
And also, is there a list or something somewhere as to who holds what ranks at court? In the registry I can find out who are Queens, but it doesn't say who is The Queen. At the moment the only thing I can think of is going through all the characters, member by member, and checking. ^^; I'll do this if there isn't one, and maybe make my own list while I go about it (which I would share, of course).
Now for one regarding tokens. I read that we get them by role playing, does this mean we get them in the role play from other characters? If so how do they get the tokens in the first place? Do you earn them from quests?
Who's in charge of Corvistowne?
Um.. that's all I can think of at the moment. ^^;
