Settled in the coach he leaned back, accepting and allowing Dre to use him as a sort of pillow. It would only take them a few hours to get to the Club Court making it shortly after the sun set.
"Any warning, huh?" He thought about it for a moment. "Well thinking on it I guess you could say that my own father does not really follow what you expect the Queen to look like." He gave a silent chuckle at the thought. The way his father looked often caught many off guard.
The arrived just as the sun was finishing it's decent, disappearing on the horizon. Once the coach had come to a stop, Iggy exited first then offered to help Dre down after him. Taking a hold of one of her arms he wrapped it around his.
"I will have them set you up a room near mine." He offered as they made their way up the path.

Deirdre inspected the palace they approached quite curiously, her eyes slipping over the sand-coloured walls with pleasure. It was a bit strange, really, especially after a life in the Highlands and the lovely white of the palace of Hearts. Still, it was quite pretty in its own way and the woman was incredibly pleased to be at Ignatius' court.
"So this is your home or your home away from home?" she asked with an easy-going smile as he helped her out of the carriage. She paused at the steps to encourage Drostan to follow her out and the Ace did so with an unpleasant expression across his face.
As always, she ignored it, instead walking with the scarf-clad hybrid and smiling at his words. "I'm a stranger in a strange place," she quoted lightly. "I shall have to await your discretion and pleasure to know wot I shall do here." She winked flirtatiously at him.

He considered her question. There was only one place that he would probably consider a place he felt at home, that being the Marsh, but he had made the other two Courts his home as well. "I suppose it is more of just another of my homes"
He laughed at her comment and quote causing a guard nearby to jump. Calling the ferret over he gave the guard orders to see that a room near his to be prepared. Once the male had gone off to see the orders completed he tured to Dre.
"You will be free to go about as you like, just tell them my name if anyone says otherwise. But for now, how about I show you some of the main attractins?" He asked giving her a wink.
Most of the Court should be settling down for the evening so it was unlikely that they would stumble across anyone. The other greetings would have to wait for the morrow.

Dre noted the guard's strange reaction, though she didn't give any indication that she had even seen it. Of course, Drostan jumped as well when Ignatius laughed, but that was probably for other reasons. Unless you asked the two Cards to verify, in which case their answers might be frighteningly similar.
It was nice to know-- though not entirely surprising with his heritage and just who he was as a person-- that she could simply do a bit of name-dropping and get whatever she needed.
She laughed at his words, however, a chiming, musical sound and gently caressed his bicep for a moment. "I haven't already found the main attraction?" she asked innocently, her smile shining through yet again at the light-hearted banter. She very much enjoyed being in Ignatius' company and this little 'vacation' was something she already found wonderful.

"Be that as it may, we should probably at least pretend to be interested in other things around here." He replied in the same good temperament.
Starting off he led the way through one of the many doors and down one of the hallways. He would show her to the big spots, where the library was located, dinning hall, and other points of attraction. Explaining things he answered any questions she might have asked. After a while a guard found them.
"Sir the room has been prepared as ordered."
After dismissing the guard he glanced at Dre from the corner of his eyes. "We should retire soon if we expect to get anything done on the morrow." He thought for a moment. "Asides form a meeting with my father we should probably arrange one with Elias. Have to pass on the greetings and the like."

Drostan didn't really find the Palace of Clubs a great deal more to his liking, but at least they weren't constantly tripping over crazies here. People seemed a bit more sane. It was an oddly nice change, even though he was still following a pair of real bright ones.
Dre took in each new thing with the required interest, though she really did find the tour very enjoyable. She kept one hand lightly resting on his arm at all time, however, occasionally petting or caressing the limb with subconscious affection.
"Elias, as in the one who raised grandfather? That shall be a real treat." Her father had seemed inordinately fond of the older Club as well as a touch secretive. Which, of course, must mean that there was something off about that man as well. She assumed it would simply make her feel more comfortable around him.

As he led them back to where their rooms would be he let out a low chuckle. Oh a real treat indeed. Elias like the rest of them was just as special, if not in some cases more. When one really got around to thinking about it, their family was definitely one of the strangest.
"Same old, same old. Though he has been 'tamed' some since those days. He is my father's first Queen. He seems to be enjoying the job well enough."
It would not take them long to make their way back through the halls. Many hallways and doorways later he stopped in front of door. "Well here you are. Mine is just three down. I will see you in the morning." He gave a courtly bow of his head, feeling a little awkward not knowing what to do.
Leaving her there he headed off to his own room
~
After having woken the next morning, he sent a servant with a message to His Majesty Elias informing him that he required a meeting with him. It being of the up-most importance. He now sitting in the breakfast room waiting for Dre to make her appearance while also awaiting the reply for when he was to meet with Elias.

Dre watched him begin to retreat for about three steps, hands slipping up to her hips with some indignation. Oh, he so did not. Leaving Drostan by her door, she moved quickly after the man, letting her talons click so he knew she was coming. She nabbed him by one arm whether he turned around or not and pressed her lips quite firmly to his. Only after she got her goodnight kiss did she smile prettily at him and retreated back to her room. "May the stars shine gently on you, Ignatius!" And then she was gone.
Deirdre gave her wings and arms one last good stretch as she stepped into the room and smiled quite happily at Ignatius. "Morning's light to you," Drostan followed at her heels, not on a leash today, but not necessarily any happier for its lack. He gave a put upon sigh as she settled herself at the table and he had to sit on the floor beside her.

Hearing the clicking of her nails was his only warning as she came up behind him. Feeling the tug on his arm he turned willingly though he was prepared to defend himself should the need arise.
Which it evidently did not. Starring with wide eyes he watched as she then smiled and retreated back to her room. "And to you," was all he could manage.
~
"Morning's light" He replied smiling at her as she took her seat. Apparently he was easily taking to her greetings, replying without much thought towards it.
"I trust that you slept well?" He asked as he signaled for a servant to begin serving the food. As they did he eaisly filled her in on the day's events thus far. "We are just waiting for word from His Majesy Elias and then our day shall begin."

Dre was pleased to receive her breakfast, and quickly dug right in to the food. She filled a second plate for her pet and placed it down on the floor. Drostan sniffed at it and sent her a dark look. With a small laugh, the woman prepared a cup of coffee and put it down for him as well. Drostan gave a swift nod, pleased that she had gotten his breakfast right and he quickly set to eating.
Dre bit into a biscuit and smiled at the other man. "That's excellent to know," she said lightly and was pleased to now ignore that in lieu of asking softly. "How did you sleep?"
He looked good in the mornings too, she decided happily. Someday it was going to be wonderful to wake up next to him someday. And she rather hoped that such a day wouldn't be too long in coming. She'd need to rank up a bit, though. Ignatius deserved a King by his side.
