Dilis giggled and smiled gently. "Well Tavor dear, I am glad you are alright at least. We have not spoken in a bit, but I am quite glad to have run into you" She turned quickly to the mare he acknowledged and thus got her answer.. this was most certainly not a normal horse... she did talk and it seemed she was probably a card as well. She had become hostile so Dilis backed up a bit.
" I am sorry to have startled you... Ginger? I just saw Tavor fall and instinct decided my actions. I hope I did not spook you too much." She looked at Ginger concerned, she should have known better than to approach them like that but concern was first and foremost to her. She still had some time to kill so perhaps she would stick around for awhile. She did however want to at least find something for Father when he returned...

When Ginger took an aggressive sort of action he instinctively fanned out his tail feathers and cowered a bit, fully expecting her to lash out at him, that was what most people did anyhow. His fur bristled and he closed his eyes, waiting. He stayed cowered for a few moments before he decided that it was most certainly safe and straightened himself up a bit, but his fur remained slightly bristled and he shifted his wings a bit, almost anxiously.
But her words were somewhat pleasant, so he was then assured that she was not going to trample him and he brightened up again. He thought he caught a hint of humor, but it was hard to tell. However, he was in the company of a friend and a rather pleasant, even if bluntly so, card and he was quite pleased.
He did, however, sigh and look down at Dilis' words before looking up at Ginger with the look of a scolded puppy, blue eyes shimmering sadly.
I'm sorry, it's my fault... I shouldn't have been foolish. Posts are not a proper place to be I just.... wanted to be more at your level...

"No, it's alright. These things just don't let me see to the side, so if anything comes suddenly into veiw...I can't help but panic a little."she said as her eyes pointed to the pieces of leather on each side of her eyes which blocked periphrial view, it was really the same with any horse. It was a shame that she was reduced to instincts at this point, but without any promise of a real life, and one currently of absolute servitude, it was just the way it was going to be.
She felt badly that the little ratling recoiled at the sight of her agression. Such a reaction she herself had to certain things, and she knew from experience that it was usually the cause of abuse. One's body generally tends to pick up a cowering habit in order to show passivity and hopefully avoid the agression altogether. Sometimes it worked, but often times it didn't. "I agree that you should not have been on the post, but it was hardly your fault." said the horse, chewing a little on her bit, which had suddenly decided to cut her while she poke and was now itching. The side of her mouth bled a tiny bit, but it was natural when the bit was as sharp as hers.
She didn't really understand all this appologizing. She was never appologized to. If anything she was the one often giving out the appolgies. It was strange to be treated so equally.

Dilis felt terribly for the horse, she looked to be in so much pain from the bit but only Ginger would know how comfortable it really was. She wanted to do something to help but she figured that Ginger's owner would not be so appreciative.
"Tavor dear, what ARE you doing here anyway? I myself was just out for a stroll..." It was absolutely darling how Tavor behaved and that was why Dilis liked him so. Sure, he was younger than she but that really did not matter when her mentality was that of his age anyway.
"Well, enough ofthis apologizing stuff... how are we feeling, does food sound good? I have not eaten yet and it would make me very happy to have company. I have to gather my courage anyway for a visit I need to make later. Uncle Mala is back in town and I figured I would stop in to say hello." She smiled weakly, not really wanting to explain what the trouble with him was. He was just... an odd sort; he got kind of mean sometimes too when you did not do what he wanted though Father always claimed Uncle Mala loved her.

Tavor peered up at her, a soft little smile on his muzzle. He moved closer to Ginger, tail curling in a contented little 's' shape. He very much desired to comfort the equine in return, but he was a little stumped how to do so at first. He only had his small animal form, hers certainly towered above him, and his legs were rather short however.... well, he'd certainly look rather feline doing this. He drew his wings tightly to his sides and, making sure she was steady so she wouldn't trample him by accident, aimed to rub his body against one of her legs, she was nice.... he liked her.
At Dilis' question he came back forward still rather chipper and went to say something before he stopped, he would not blatantly admit that he lived in a rose garden near the city, he was rather.. ..ashamed of the fact really, sleeping in the dirt among the thorny bushes wasn't something he felt he should pride himself on. So instead he went with the easier answer and gave her a rather silly expression to go with it.
I live in the city, this is one of my favorite spots. I come here a lot, actually.

She felt strange under Dilis' sympathetic gaze. Slave Aces were the way of the world and she had been one her entire life. She wasn't used to such sympathy where usually there was none. It seemed to change her personality drastically, but these two would never know what she was really like, unless they began beating her for some unexpected reason. Though she hoped that wouldn't be the case. She had always hoped that there were people like this out in the world, even if she was horribly suprised to find out they exsisted. She didn't want the knowledge tainted.
Dilis then began addressing the small child, and Ginger was back in her element. The element of being nothing. She shifted her body slightly so that her head could look from side to side, unimpeded by the blinds at the sides of her face. Her coachman wasn't around still. He and his buddies must have gone out for a beer at Furgus', wouldn't Murmur be pleased...
It was when she was thinking of her stupid drunkard for a coachman that she suddenly felt something along her leg, like a small cat or something. She couldn't bend her head, but her eyes took an extreme pose to see what was going on. Ah, it was the little ratling. Part of her didn't care, but part of her couldn't shake the small prejudice she had against lowlanders. Her sholder twitched like it was being bitten by a fly. He allowed the kid to rub up against her anyway. What was she going to do anyway with the feline around. Besides, the kid hadn't shown her any malice. Bleh, not to mention he was a kid. She had a soft spot for children.

Dilis suddenly felt awful for Ginger, she seemed so sad and despondent; she could only imagine what her owner had done to her to make her that way... but she figured it may just have gone with the territory of being someone's belonging. She giggled though at Tavor as he made friends with Ginger, he really was terribly cute. That was one of the reasons she liked him; well that and he was nice to her too which really was a rarity it would seem.
"The city? how exciting! I myself moved into the Courts not long ago so I am often in Capital City. You are very fortunate to live there." She smiled brightly but on the inside she felt kind of sad. She had a feeling he was keeping something from her but it seemed like a big deal and she would not push him on it.
