Ophelia's laughed jovially at Silvanus's awe, not quite blushing or displaying any visible humility but her voice and her words expressed her surprise at such praise. She was used to excitement, used to being looked up to...but an honor? She didn't think she was worthy of such lofty titles.
"Has anyone told you that you're quite flattering, Silvanus? ...But ah, I suppose...'a head chemist' would probably be more accurate of me. Though that doesn't mean I don't aspire to become the best."
Passion... Ophelia had plenty of it. More than enough even. It had made her a living experiment, not that she minded, and had lifted her level of chemistry up into the experts despite the fact she she, well, lacked hands. It was a considerable achievement even for herself.
As Silvanus spoke of Avington, Ophelia had found herself studying his eyes and way they flashed and changed so very much. Thought of his old 'home' had undeniably brought something to mind -be it memories or something else- but with the way his smile stayed in tact Ophelia didn't think very indepth on it.
"I depends quite a bit on my mood actually. I enjoy nature, and enjoy looking at what it has to offer...but I'll always be more of a city girl." She shrugged a bit, smiling lopsidedly. Not everyone felt the same as she did, a lot of Corvistownian's did move into the country where the seclusion and the peace of nature gave them room to think and experiment freely. Ophelia just happened to like her city. "Perhaps then my honor is to you meet you? Instead of the other way around, do you follow in her footsteps?" She shifted closer, grinning a little to herself. "I think being a jeweler would suit you."
