Pravus eased into the room for breakfast. His body was sore and battered, and he grimaced in satisfaction. He sat slowly, sinking into the chair before his place setting. His eyes scanned the table, almost daring anyone to notice his less than elegant movements. Pravus' hands sat calmly upon his lap as he waited for everyone to show. Odd. . that after his nights events he was one of the first to the table.
As they all began to eat he grabbed meat, eat heartily. The corner of his eye winced from time to time from particularly overzealous movements. When he finally finished eating and the Queen spoke he quited down, giving him his full attention.
"What sort of condition do you want them in when they arrive?" The question was asked in a rather monotone voice.

Fino looked at him speculatively. "Alive and able to speak would be good. Able to move would be even better. Don't break too much. It's our privilege, not yours." His uncle likely wouldn't be 'breaking' so much as he would be 'annihilating quickly', but the Queen would take his time with Talyn. He felt that he deserved whatever satisfaction he could eke out of her torment and suffering.
"And do remember, the moment you touch them, they will be sent back here. That's all you are required to do: physically touch them, somewhere, even if it's only grasping at feathers. The rings will do the rest." Bernard's dogged determination and pride in his work would ensure that, as well as the King's own burning desire for revenge against the man he once called brother. Even now, Fino still wondered just how deeply his mother's death had affected his uncle. More than he let on, that much was certain, but he couldn't tell without prying rudely.
"Anyone else?"

Well that was straight forward enough for Theofilus. This was going to be quite a rough trip. The breakfast was such a good beginning too, and he had actually gotten some form of sleep. But as fantastic as that was, the events that were to come would easily over shadow it.
Pravus was so very blunt about it all, Theofilus couldn't help but wonder what would happen to anyone who looked at him in a wrong was. No pleasant trip at all. Though, he imagined that the Heart would probably be a useful ally in the future. You never know when you'll have a common enemy, and he could be less violent than Theofilus assumed.
"If the rings are stolen would the mission be completely compromised or are there "reassurances" of a sort on the rings?" the question came out slightly more confident than the sparrow expected. At least he still could fall back on a little bit of diamond magic.

Pravus nodded, he had known that answer was coming. He sneered a little in spite of himself, this would be far too much fun. And his partner, looked as if he was shaping up to at least have a head on his shoulders. He listened to the question, watching the bird with an odd stillness as the question was asked.
Pravus' eyes lingered on Theo while they waited for an answer. Perhaps Theo would finally notice that feeling of being watched. If Theo looked over at Pravus and saw that staring gaze Pravus inclined his head a little towards him.
Oh yes. . he believed they'd get along just fine.

Sleep had been easy coming after she had quickly made her way home to fetch Miyako so that Ashwin could keep an eye on her during this venture. It was always a good walk to the cave and after making three trips and wanting to stay with Ashwin after one of his usual flattering comments to her. It had all left her mentally tired as well as physically. Maji just silently ate the breakfast laid out before them. She had been receiving better meals since her encounter with Ashwin and thus did not wolf down the food as she one had after her carelessness last time she was here. She wanted to be of as much help as she possibly could to Serafino to prove that she was not useless but judging from the looks, she continued to receive from her she was not sure that would ever happen.
She did not really have any questions and was actually ready to get going for as much as she liked it in doors she did in a way miss being outdoors. She really did not have any questions for his majesty and it seemed like every one else had the bases covered as it was. She just waited for everything to get rolling and time for this to end.

Mmm, smart of the bird to ask that question. Fino had been wondering if it would occur to any of them. He really did have his head screwed on straight.
"The rings won't allow themselves to be stolen from your persons. Nor can you remove them from your persons now that they're firmly in place. Their magic will release you from their hold after you complete the quest and I allow it to let go. Any attempts by you or someone else to take them off will likely be both painful and completely unsuccessful. They will remain on you unto the grave if it becomes necessary." Bluntly spoken, but he didn't feel like dancing around the issue.
He looked out the window at the sun's slow rise into the sky, the blue not yet brightened to its full morning brilliance. Hopefully they would take the hint, unless they had any more pressing questions, which he would of course answer. Bernard likely wouldn't wake until tomorrow... if that. Maybe to relieve himself, shovel in a bite of food, and collapse for another large chunk of time.

The staring was almost unbearable. His feathers slightly ruffled out in irritation, but he ignored it for the most part. The Queen of Hearts' statement was interesting indeed. Theofilus mad a note not to die on this quest--it might be bad for business and all.
He noticed the sunrising through the window. Very well then, they should get going before it was too high in the sky. "Thank you, Your Majesty. We'll make haste to capture them," Theofilus gave The Queen of Hearts a bow before making his way towards the door. The feline would follow soon enough. He didn't need to hold his hand in the last bit. If he got huffy, so be it, he could eat breakfast on his way.
This would hardly be a fun filled adventure. However something useful could come from it. That was the most he could hope for, something good in the future. Because the present was not going to be kind, he could feel it.
