For a moment, as he took off his gloves and unbound his hair, Fino couldn't tell if he was going to punch him or grab him. Thankfully, he did neither.
Not so thankfully, he revealed more fur and muscle, as well as drawing the eye to that shiny black hair. It was so incongruous with his coloring, but it looked so soft falling around that pale, patterned neck. Fino twitched. No, he would stop Looking and just start Talking. Sometimes that helped. Except when every word out of the mix's mouth seemed to carry some kind of highly suggestive innuendo. Then talking didn't help at all.
He stayed silent for a moment, expression slowly sliding from aggravated to 'blank' while he considered. "Yes," he said finally, voice gone smoother rather than angrier. It didn't necessarily mean a good thing, depending. "I would like to see what you can do. Impress me. But no touching. And not here. Out there." He waved one long-fingered hand dismissively in the direction of the door.

Gaston watched as the facial expressions slid over the Queen's face like water...he didn't understand them at all...nor did he care, soon he would be in the bedroom with this pretty thing, that's all he knew.
How could this little snit end any other way? That was how he fixed things, after all.
When the Queen said "Yes." Gaston felt all of his worries leave him. So this stiffness was simply a face put on for those around him? Fantastic? He would follow the lovely red-head and then show him what he could do...indeed. Nahaha....
"Of course, my Queen." He said with another small half bow, anxious to get to wherever they were going now.
"There re loads of things I can show you without touching you...you however might not be able to resist the temptation. Nahaha!"
He chuckled brightly and flexed his left arm again. Turning to the doe behind him, he gave her a slow wink.
"Excuse me, my dear, you'll just have to wait a little while, I'll find you again...later."
He dragged his tongue across his teeth for good measure before turning to follow the Queen.

Not a facade at all, merely a moody Queen being taunted with something he didn't want to outright reject... but couldn't accept at the moment, even if he'd wanted to, which was debatable. What an arrogant son of a bitch. It was obviously a tactic that worked for him or he probably wouldn't be alive right now.
Fino resolutely ignored that second flex and confident chuckle. He would deal with it later, if the King proved all talk and no substance. Arrogance and attractiveness aside, he needed something going for him besides looks and forceful personality before Fino would even consider accepting him as his own King.
Those five spots were precious things and he was quite picky, one reason they'd been left empty for roughly ten years. With the exception of Bernard, who would always be an exception in everything. No one had yet tried this particular tactic, however.
"If I've resisted you this long, I'm sure I can last another few minutes," he said dryly, walking down the hall and towards the nearest garden exit. He would stop as soon as he was on the grass and wait, turning to face Gaston. "Well?"

Gaston shrugged off the insinuation of immunity to his charms...all of the "smart" ones said that. His eye twitched slightly at the next statement.
"Well?"
His eyebrow hiked into the air as the thought Well, what? crossed his mind. Well, if he wanted to be impressed then he would just have to...improvise.
He nodded and smiled to the bored looking Queen and struck a quick pose before him.
Then he vanished.
Or at least he had appeared to, his legs kicking off from the ground hard enough to project him almost twenty feet into the air, turning three quick sumer-salts in the air, he landed again with a spring of his thickly muscled back legs.
"My Queen, were anyone to attempt to harm or befoul your name I would literally be on them in seconds...I've also been told that my skills are excellent in...many environments..."
He grinned, delighted that the word environments had popped into his mind..it sounded so much better.
"I can also guarantee you that anyone who meets me will take a liking to me, whether they wan to or not, I can break up heated arguments with nothing more than...a few right words, take care of peasantry problems within moments...I know what they want to hear...and I can ally almost anyone to any cause."
He then sprang once more into the air, running a few feet across the side of the palace and kicking himself off to land behind a bed of roses.
"If words aren't working, I'm quick and a fantastic fighter, if I do say so myself. Nahaha."

Again Fino found himself jerking back, surprised by the sudden disappearance... or movement, really, as he'd done upward far higher than anyone his species, much less size and bulk, should be able to go. That would certainly be a power in action, much more physical than any of the Queen's own, or Bernard's. With a body like that, how could he be anything but 'physical'?
The innuendo was noted and cataloged with the rest of it in his 'to consider later' file. This man was rapidly filling that particular section. Unprecedented agility, obvious physical strength, a suggested negotiating strength and charismatic charm - probably the only reason he hadn't been reprimanded for his behavior thus far, even if it was proving intriguing now that he had a moment to watch. The obnoxious had begun to be replaced with entertaining.
That in and of itself was a feat, more so perhaps than all his jumping and running and springing about.
"More substance than I had expected," he muttered, though he wondered how much went on upstairs. There had to be a failing somewhere and, besides blind audacity, that seemed to be it. They were almost certainly linked. "Alright. You've... managed to impress me somewhat. Now there's one more thing I'm going to need you to do."
He gave Gaston a speculative look. "Convince my current King that you're worthy."

Gaston grinned at the praise, raising his hand to comb it back over his hair all the while grinning in a fully self-satisfied manner. Perfect. All he had to do was intimidate one other King and he was in, no sweat. "Certainly, I would love to meet some of your comrades, bing them out."He hoped the other king was a woman...that would make things so much more satisfying. He smiled and leaned against the wall as a figure rounded the corner by the wall and headed toward them. Gaston's face fell immediately. An...older...man... Well damn. Bernard moved out over the grass to where his nephew and an...exceptionally large Biped were standing. Dymphna had filled him in as he walked down, she had assumed the Bernard would be needed t some point...he couldn't help but be impressed with the intelligence of the Doe... He moved over to the pair and nodded at the other King. "So...you're Gaston..."He made a stiff half bow to the other King, his mind on other things...this man had his uses, be they as a toy for his nephew or as a meat shield in some battle, he didn't see any reason not to allow him in...especially after that unnerving Feline had been allowed entry... Bernard still didn't like the idea of that creature being intimate with Serafino...but what could you do about misplaced love? He knew this answer as surely as he had always know it... nothing. "I see no issue with your being allowed entry into our Court, but if you cause undue distress to the other members, I will have to remove you."He then gave Serafino a nod, and walked away, his mind full of unrequainted love and miffed weapons. Gaston felt slightly unnerved. "Oh...ok."Was that it? The man had barely looked at him...the nerve. He turned back to the attractive youth, smiling once again. "So, my Queen...am I in?"

Fino raised his eyebrows as he saw his uncle's approach. Well, wasn't that timing. Someone must have told him, probably Dymphna. She was good about keeping Bernard abreast of things, at both of their requests. He almost looked forward to hearing her take on this morning's little drama.
Bernard looked more preoccupied than he expected for this time of day, usually working better at night rather than late morning. What was on his mind? Yet another new spell? It was hard to keep track of them all, the way his mind focused to the point of obsession on one before finishing and taking up with another right away. No one had ever called the man uninspired in his work. Cranky, sometimes. Driven, oh yes. Uninspired? Never.
He gave the wolf-deer one last speculative once-over. This could turn out to be a very bad idea, or a very good one. Probably aggravating either way. Oh well. "Yes, you're in. Congratulations, Your Highness. I suppose I'd better assign you a room sooner rather than later."
Sigh. There went his tea break. Or maybe not. "And seeing as you're now a titled King in my employ, your first task is to find a doe named Dymphna - a Jack, my attendant, and the sister of the one you were cuddled up against earlier - and bring me some tea while I decide which room will be yours." He may as well start things off on the right foot.
((*cackle* Why don't you wrap it up with one more post? Unless you feel inspired to do a bit more. X3 I have an idea I want to throw at you. *snerk*))

Gaston grinned broadly...how easy that had been! Not that he hadn't expected it, of course but....it was always nice when things went over just the way he wanted.
"But of course, your Majesty."
He said, dropping his voice a few octaves for effect as he flipped his eyebrows.
"Naha! I'll go and fetch her right now, meet you back in the room I found you in in a few minutes...farewell, lovely."
He then turned and trotted off, tail twitching with delight as his long limbs carried him swiftly back into the palace. He admired the walls of his new home, how noble and delightfully his it was...full of pretty fillies and a superb if male...Queen.
Lovely.
As he climbed the stairs he threw a last, smarmy glance back at...at...blast...what was his name? Oh well, smarmy grin to you then.
He then turned back to the red carpeted hall to look for the Morganberry doe.

She had wanted to stay back from all the 'action' so to speak. In case things took a turn for the worse and Fino decided to execute the arrogant, yet unspeakably handsome, Gaston. She didn't think he'd have it in him to waste such an excellent physique, but she'd heard tales of Serafino's temper... some of them amusing, but she didn't like to get blood on herself if she could avoid it. It would be hardly noticeable in her coat, but such a pain to get out.
As soon as Dymphna approached, she sank into the shadows of a pillar and tried to calm herself. No, not yet, this wasn't how she wanted it to go, so she would wait. The group began to disperse, she could tell by the shapes that came back up the hallway, and she could hear the loud footfalls of the new court King headed her way. Well, not that she didn't enjoy the view, but she wanted to be held up no longer, she wanted direct access to Fino. Though today might not be the best day to catch him, it seemed he was plenty busy without her meddling questions.
She tried to tip toe around Gaston, taking an opposite route to the garden, hoping to catch the Queen before he headed off to tea or wherever else he might have been needed after this whole ordeal. She sprinted along quickly, her hooves making the movements more bouncy than it might have been. Of course, it was a good way to get attention for the sight of her chest moving in motion with her body.
She spotted the Queen just exiting to his next destination and slowed her pace, trying to appear casual and not at all out of breath as she approached him. Another delicate bow of the waist was presented as she hurriedly tried to think of a way to put her request. "Your Majesty, I am sorry to interrupt again, I don't believe I ever got around to asking my request earlier." She paused, waiting to see his reaction before quickly continuing. "I have recently developed a... fascination with the courts, if you will, and that fascination has led me to wonder what one might have to do to win your approval and a position to be at your disposal..." Her eyes surveyed him cooly, pleased with how easily that had all come out when it had been so jumbled in her mind.

Moving inside to gauge which King's suite would best suit their newest addition, Fino found himself waylaid yet again this morning and had to forcefully restrain the sudden childish urge to wave Marie in her face and suggest they meet later. He was the Queen, she was a Ten of Hearts, and like it or not she hadn't really done anything to annoy him yet. Besides, she was at least trying to be polite.
Expression somewhat annoyed, he turned to face her and listened quietly, fingers tapping against his thigh.
"You are not the first to be fascinated with the Courts, nor do I think you will be the last. My approval goes to those who please me, or happen to be in the right place at the right time. Sometimes both. Your timing at the moment is, I think, less than ideal. See about acquiring yourself a rank more befitting of nobility and we'll see where it goes from there. Or just ask your sister. You have an excellent 'in' right there."
He wasn't going to make this any easier on her, not in the slightest. She already had the benefit of a highly-placed sister. She would have to earn the rest on her own merits. "Now if you will kindly excuse me, I'm on a rather tight schedule this morning and can only accommodate so many interruptions."
