Dilis and Peder had set up a date after running into each other at the club the other night. She was excited because no one had really ever asked her out and what with her new form, she wanted to be out and about anyway. He said he would pick her up in Avington but that was too risky with Father there so she instead decided to meet him in Capital City. Father would not have let her go out with Peder, he felt those that were not part of royalty were nothing and now that she had her King rank, it would have been absolutely unheard of. She was about to go to his home when she saw the handsome Selkie Laker walking toward her. Her heart skipped a beat and she suddenly felt anxious; he was attractive and yet he seemed to like her as well. She never felt this way about someone; he was sweet and gentlemanly and acted like he wanted to hear what she had to say.

Peder was relieved to find Dilis the other night at the club. He had gone there with a pretty young Esterberry girl, but she was not to his liking. She kind of bored him talking about this and that; to be honest, he wasn't even really listening to her prattle on. He ran into Dilis at the club near the bathrooms and it was like fate hit them both; he decided then that it was meant to be and he would have to take her out some night. He was heading out to pick her up in Avington when he saw her arriving in Capital City by carriage. When it had stopped and the footman was opening the door he ran over to her. " Evenin' love, you look beautiful" he held her paw out to her as she stepped out and took a moment to look at her now. He hadn't seen her human form so it took his breath away for a moment. " Dilis, your new form is wonderful!" he clamoured out. " If you like miss, we can go? Sir, I would like to use your carriage a bit longer if you don't mind. I have plenty of money to satisfy your time." "You got it, Mr" said the footman and they were off. Peder had a surprise for Dilis.

As he approached her carriage, Peder held out his hand to her; well fancy that, he really is a gentleman. "Thank You Peder, you are handsome as usual"
"Do you really like it?" she asked as she grabbed at her grabbed and twirled for him.
"This took a lot of work but I am very happy with it" she beamed.
"Of course, lead us away dear; wherever you want to go, i love surprises."
Peder helped her back into the carriage and they were off; as they drove, Dilis peered out the window at the scenery. Everything was so pretty on the scenery from Capital City to Midori beach; Dilis favorite part though was going through The Forest of Kahmden. She reached over and pet her bander friend, Aidan to calm his nerves; he really did not like riding in the carriage. She figured it was the lack of control that made him nervous. The cute little bander huffed and attempted again (for the second time) to nap; the bumpy road making it kind of futile.

Now -this- was a day for tourism! Even the small, traditional village suddenly had visitors after weeks of hardly anything but the postal worker coming into town. There were a lot of couples, and with the perfect temperature, and the sun merrily dancing to hide behind a whispy cloud on occasion, it was just.. perfect weather. That's all there was to it. Zuberi smartly closed up after the lunch crowd left; everyone had come back into town from their boats and from the beaches to do shopping in the midday heat, however mild it was for this part of the world, it would never do to get ill from heat exposure. The squirrel sighed, slipping the key of her small shop into her pouch, along with the money she had made that morning. Crime was rare, so she had no qualms against carrying it the relative distance to her home. On the way down the road though, she spotted.. a carriage of all things. Admittedly, many of the people they had come by were more local than anything, so seeing someone traveling in a manner that wasn't on foot was an interesting sight indeed.. especially if they were coming to her small home town. Being sure to make room for them to pass by walking on the side of the dirt path, she smiled and waved to the carriage as they passed by.

"Do you really like it?" she'd asked. "Do I like it? It's wonderful, love; simply wonderful" He said as he grabbed her hand and twirled her as well. It took all he could not to be affectionate with her but he knew her type. She was a lady so it wouldn't be a great idea to show a huge amount of affection... just wasn't proper.
As they drove, he thought about her surprise; he had planned to take her to Midori Beach for the weekend, Zuberi had invited him to go, hadn't she? Wicked Peder, you were with the pretty avington cat now; you can't be thinkin of some Midori squirrel or you'll mess up yer chances. Peder patted her little bander on the head absentmindedly, so much so in fact that he almost missed the flash of pink and green waving to him. Then he realized who it was.
"Ay driver, let us off 'ere. Thank you for your services, I know it was a long trip" he said as he handed the driver some monies.

It was a great surprise to Zuberi when a familiar figure stepped out of the carriage, followed by a human figure. Wow! For one thing, she'd not even expected him to show up, figuring he'd felt a bit rejected when she wanted little else to do with him after dinner. There was no anger in his gaze though, but only an obvious affection for the human he traveled with. Oh yes, that was another thing that was quite a rare sight. Zuberi had seen very few people with a human form until she went to the capital, and seeing one in her home town was indeed something special.
The squirrel was all smiles as she approached the pair. "Peder! I'm so glad to see that ye took my advice to heart! And you seem to have brought a special lady..." She crooned that last part out, winking at him before looking the up at the lady with smiles of approval. "That is indeed a good thing, for Midori Beach is always a wonderful place to be when ye have someone to share it with." Still smiling, she looked to Peder, obviously expecting him to do the introductions.

Dilis was not sure what to make of Peder, he had seen something out of the window and suddenly told the driver to stop. She wondered if he perhaps knew someone here until she saw the Midori squirrel. She was smiling at them and then she called out Peder's name. She grabbed his hand as he helped her get out of the carriage and they walked together over to the squirrel. Finding it rude since neither had bi-pedal form so she slipped into her animal form to show her respect to them. She nodded at the squirrel when she winked at them, not to be rude but instead waiting for Peder to introduce them. Normally she would have been jealous but the Midori girl did not seem to be a threat, instead she seemed to be a very agreeable young woman. Taking in the scenery now, she realized why Peder wanted to take her here; it was beautiful... Dilis really did love the beach though she never got the leisure time to go since Father always had her doing things. Since her entrance in the courts, he had given her a little bit of wiggle room though.

Peder was getting a bit nervous around the two women; he hoped Zuberi wouldn't mention to Dilis about the night they went out but if she did... that Dilis would be understanding and NOT want to rip him apart. But he was just being silly, right? He felt differently for Dilis than he did with most other females, you could say even cared deeply for her and only wanted for her to be happy.
The fact that Dilis changed into animal form to match them endeared her to him. It was quite considerate of her but then again, that was Dilis. Coming out of his thoughts, he was again confronted by the two ladies.
"Zuberi! It's good to see you. My special lady if you will is Dilis. Dilis love, this is Zuberi. She and I met in Capital City" he covered. He just hoped things would go smoothly. "Actually Zuberi, I was hoping to take Dilis on a little trip, we sorely need to relax and I remembered you mentioning coming here."

When introduced, the squirrel nodded her head kindly toward the woman, who had shifted to her animal form around them. That was certainly kind of her; Zuberi rarely expected such courtesies from tourists. They were generally here to have a good time and she couldn't blame them for not wanting to have to worry about certain social nuances while relaxing at the beach.
Zuberi, surprisingly enough, went with Peder's general mood of things. He obviously didn't want his new lady to be jealous, and she certainly wouldn't take offense to it. He was being almost suspicious with how he was talking so shortly. Ah men.... this was why women never trusted them. She continued on that beat, her words coming out smoothly.. almost professionally.
"Well, I'm glad to see me trip paid off!" She laughed, then inclined a kind eye back to the Avington lady. "I was visitin' the Capital during the beginning of the vacation season to advertise, you see. This be one of the smaller towns of Midori, so a little bit of commercialism is needed to keep people from forgetting us."
Feeling there was no more that was needed to be said about the subject, she sat back on her haunches and smiled at the two of them. "So m'friends, will you be stayin' for the night, or is this just a day visit?"

Dilis felt a lot better with this Zuberi woman now that they had explained the situation around them meeting. She really had not known Peder as long as she should have but she felt a certain sense of possessiveness when it came to him. It was not so bad that she would get physically upset about it but it still would bother her on the inside. She figured it was because Father never spent much time with her so she had a tendency to cling to others who would.
"Well I am surprised that people do not flock here, it is really beautiful. I myself would love to come again..." She looked at Peder hopefully.
"The night? Well um... I... do not know... Peder dear, are we staying the night?" She hoped so because she really wanted to get a chance to tour the beach and visit all the cute little shops... she was female after all, and she did like to shop.
