( I discussed everything with too much detail with Jenn XD So I took no liberties with Fino <3<3 )
It was such a gentle day. The breeze blew softly through Pravus' hair as he sat in human form amongst the roses. His eyes drifted over to Fino, watching his Queen moving amongst the flowers with an. .. odd look in his eyes. Pravus didn't really know how to read him but that was fine. He had been cooped up in the dungeons for such a long time, it had started getting monotonous.
So when his Queen had come down the stairs, Pravus had perked in curiousity. To the gardens? That sounded like a good idea. So he left his victim chained to the wall without a glance and moved up the stairs after his Queen to follow him here.
A sharp pang of pain ran through Pravus' chest as he watched Fino. A hand had drifted down to touch at a rose, and gone right through. The look on his Queen's face alone, even if so brief, made the cat feel a little sick. How. . could he ever help him? What sort of good was he to his own Queen, if there were so many things he couldn't fix. So many things he couldn't change or do for him. . .
He made a startled noise as he realized Fino had walked over and put a hand in his hair. The gentle touch upon his head was reassuring, the stabbing pain in his chest receding a little. Had he made a face to worry his Queen? The last thing Pravus wanted was to worry Fino. His head lifted, golden eyes looking up through his lashes at his master.
A few words, so soft that Pravus didn't quite hear them mumbled from Fino's mouth. "At least, I can still feel you."
It was odd, how the closer they were, the more touches between them, the more Pravus depended on his Queen. But, it was when he was his happiest. When Fino touched him, Pravus was his. A purr started in his throat and his eyes closed a little. Yes, it was definitely worth leaving the dungeons for this. Odd how this was the happiest he'd been in a very long time. Happier even, than before Fino had died perhaps.
Pravus mewled suddenly, as that hand was plucked from his hair and his Queen began to move away from him. He watched longingly after Fino's form, and suddenly flipped upon his back with a small sigh. His eyes watched the sky above, his hands reaching behind him to trace along the roses behind him.
Deftly he plucked one, bring it back down to his nose, inhaling the scent gently. His eyes fluttered as he breathed in the scent. With a small stretched he brought his hands down to rest on his stomach, still holding the rose. A rustle to his side made him twist his head at an awkward angle. He made a small happy noise as Fino sat beside him and flipped onto his side, curling against his hip.
"I love you." He said quietly, hoping the day would never end.

A little ways away Linda sat, back against the wall to the outer hallway. Her eyes were wide, her reptilian nostrils flaring. Dymphna had told her that her Papa was last seen in the gardens and so she had come outside, to find him sitting on the ground.
As she took a step forwards her Papa. . . purred, and lifted his head into an unseen embrace. It had knocked her feet out from under her, sending her to the ground against the wall. She watched everything with a horror that kept her from running.
So. . . the rumours were true. Her Papa. . had gone crazy.
"I love you."
First one tear then another rolled down Linda's cheek and she rolled to the side, stumbling into the hallway and escaping back into the palace.
