ahahaha XD I haven't seen that movie before, but it reminds me of my alien race I made up.. males are very hormonal and flighty so they are considered unfit to hold jobs, etc. They're basically kept around to supply the necessary reproductive functions and basically play the role of woman XD In fact, they are usually so shallow and unstable that most females of the species have a female mate as well... it's hard to fall in love with men XD give a few more millenia and men will go the way of the male angler fish XD
