As she was shoved backwards she automatically protected her stomach. Now that was... odd. She started down almost curiously before looking upwards at the claw marks which popped little crimson beads at her shoulders. She ignored his demand for the time being, having expected that he would be quite unreasonable. She mentally sighed, but kept a blank profile outisde, blinking once before taking a step off the wall and putting a hand to her back.
"Actually, when I spoke to Serafino the first day, I told him I didn't want Dymphna to know, and I wanted to make my own way into the courts as if she never existed. I'll tell her when I've accomplished my goal." She shrugged, not knowing why she bothered responding at all. He probably wouldn't listen and just throw another fit immediately afterwards anyway. She didn't look once at Serafino, this was her battle to fight obviously, if she couldn't subdue Pravus well then obviously she had some issues to work with before attempting again.
She hadn't been aware that she was being a bitch, and so she scratched her neck once before considering how to respond to that. "Pravus. I came here to talk, and talk alone. If you're hell-bent on beating the crap out of someone because of whatever's going on- and I won't pretend to know what's really going on here- let me know and I'll leave so you can find someone to take your anger out on." She sighed at this, considering what set him off, but not wanting to touch whatever was going on between the Queen and Pravus right now.
"However, if you want to talk about the kids and give me a heads-up on what you expect from their birth, any certain requirements that are palace mandatory or otherwise, as well as how willing you are to be part of their lives, then I would appreciate you letting me know so we can actually start talking about this. I apologise if I said anything to set you off earlier, I know that there was no excuse for me to take my hormonally imbalanced state out on you in that manner. " Well, actually, there was. He had kind of /raped/ her. But she could pretend he was innocent as all getout if that's what it took for him to calm down. Her eyes were slightly sympathetic for a moment, she couldn't imagine what this would be like if she really... loved Pravus. They'd probably be in an even more similar position then they already were.

Every. Word. Was like another grain of sand falling into place. Every word, another annoyance that itched him and made his muscles ripple and stomach curl. He clenched his fist, so very badly wanting to punch her in the stomach, just to get rid of those things in her.
His muscles tensed further and further until his whole body was almost twitching, oh yes, every word just pushed him that one step closer to killing her. But. . suddenly he felt this sense of calm. It washed over him in a buzzing white blanket of static. His thoughts dropped away and his eyes cleared, going blank.
Slowly Pravus tilted his head to regard her, almost looking through her. This was an . . odd sense of calm. One he hadn't felt too many times in the past. And usually bad things happened after.
A slow grin spread across his face, large and manic, and his chest heaved as he laughed to himself inside. His whole body was trembling with the inner laughter that didn't quite make it all the way out except for his muscles twitching. A second later the grin turned into a sneer and he leapt forwards claws out.
He was going to kill her.

Fino watched the situation escalate, the feline's mood swinging even more drastically than he had anticipated. Something about this whole affair was changing him, making him more unpredictable than he already was - and really, that was quite a feat to accomplish. He didn't move to help as the doe was shoved, her words and attitude towards her better more than deserving of it. Some of the things she said made his muscles bunch in anger, and others... did she really expect an argument like that to appeal to a Pravus who was so clearly enraged?
She obviously didn't know him well enough for the Queen to worry, at least not yet. That was a load off of his mind, at any rate.
That sudden stillness caught his attention and set off a few warning bells in the back of his head. He knew exactly what that meant. Oh yes. He'd seen it more than once in action, right before a pounce. It was the cat in him. As much as Fino did not want to lay so much as a finger on him, he gritted his teeth and took a step forward, reaching out to grab one tense arm just as he jerked towards the doe. "Enough, Pravus." His other hand went around in front of the feline's chest to grasp the other arm and bar his way. "Enough. I shouldn't have let her bother you. Stop it. She isn't worth the effort and you won't be satisfied afterwards."

It was obvious there was a lot of personal history going on here that they just... expected her to know of, the way Pravus could only become further and further ruffled up even after her apology that was entirely unnecessary considering the entire situation. She was quite tired however, of trying to appeal to her RAPIST for today. Something both of them seemed to be forgetting. Oh how she'd bitten down her anger and bitterness for the sake of not starting a conflict, but if that's what the Court of Hearts was about, then screw it. Perhaps she'd been going about this 'decency and respect' thing all wrong. Perhaps the only way to settle a dispute here was with teeth and nails. But then, Serafino was grabbing him, seeming entirely repulsed with the action. He REALLY didn't like kids, did he? She had stepped back to prepare herself for the blow, but managed to relax for a moment.
Bother him? Had this not been Serafino's own plan? She had been more than prepared to wait it out, have the kids, and talk about it afterwards. Either way, it wouldn't have mattered, because knowing ahead of time what Pravus expected of his kids wouldn't just automatically Make their rank higher. More than anything it had been for his benefit, so that he would know and could deal with... whatever he needed to deal with, accordingly. Well, if she was going to raise them on her own, so be it. She'd been through harder ordeals. And survived.
She didn't know what Pravus or Serafino had been expecting. Considering how she and Pravus interacted on a normal, everyday basis. It had never been flowers and bowing at the waist with them, except for one eerily romantic night, and that had been more, chains bleeding and revenge than anything else. This life was certainly not the one she had been anticipating. "My apologies, your highness, your majesty." It was all she could say and... somewhat mean. She was sorry that they had to be left here to deal with the situation. There, that was accurate.
Not wanting to cause more stress for the Queen, she began to walk quickly in the other direction, pinching the bridge of her nose only when either of them wouldn't see. Sometimes, reasoning just wasn't the answer. What was? She didn't really know. Serafino should have known to warn her of... whatever the hell was going on between them. She didn't exactly like having her life offered up as a ripe fruit because of someone else's relationship problems. Suddenly, all those one night stands seemed like an awfully good idea. People didn't know all the simplicity they were missing out on. She didn't look back as she left the palace, Pravus wouldn't be anywhere near her kids again until they were born and he hunted her down to see them. Which would probably happen.

Pravus was in a dangerous state of mind. All he could see was red and THAT DOE. He kept lunging, unable to figure out why he didn't seem to be moving forwards. He didn't hear her words, or Fino's, he just wanted to feel something hot and bleeding beneath his hands. Such a bloodlust was rare and usually took some sort of buildup, and it left him not in control of his own body.
He kept trying to wrench from Fino's grasp but was unable too. In that fuzzy state of his he watched their mouths move, and her start to move away. Now she was running. hehehe Oh yes, he must chase but still he could not move forwards. His golden eyes, pupils slit tight turned slowly to his Queen and in the back of his mind registered the word Danger. He stopped moving but he was not himself, and he still felt the need to hurt.

Fino didn't know or care what was going through the doe's head at the moment and took her 'apology' at face value, watching to make sure she left but otherwise not saying a word. She could go and deal with herself however she wanted. He had saved her life and didn't expect her to realize it. She would have confronted the feline sooner or later and he had an unpleasant feeling that this moodiness would only get worse as time drew on. Later, she wouldn't have had someone to hold back the violence, especially if she approached him as she had tonight. Uppity bitch.
No, he was much more focused on making sure Pravus didn't lunge out of his grip and go after the female's retreating back regardless. He didn't relax his grip once that body stopped moving, not with all of the muscles tensed and bunched and those golden eyes staring at him like that. "Can you calm down, or are you beyond that?" he asked, completely serious. The body language would be a more useful answer than anything Pravus said at this point.

He blinked slowly, his Queen's words coming to him as if through a fog. A rushing sound over the wash of static that had enveloped him. Pravus tilted his head, trying to process the question as his muscles continued twitching.
Could he calm down? His mind flashed images at him between thoughts, that would make most people scream but he just sneered. Why did it seem so hard to make his mouth move? His fingers flexed back and forth as he tried to locate his vocal cords and finally he managed.
His voice was hoarse. "Yes. . my Queen." He said, even though he wondered if it was true. Yes, he could calm down if he could go out to the city tonight and find his own version of peace. But an outlet was needed and he knew it. For his Queen. . though. . he could hold it in check and wait until he amongst the throng near the market.

Whatever he said, Fino couldn't quite believe that he would calm down. Not without releasing some of that pent-up violence and frustration that twitched and flexed beneath those tightly coiled muscles. He could see a disaster looming if he let the feline go now to do whatever he would. Normally in such an instance he would take him down to the dungeons and they would work through that frustration together. It could be extremely satisfying for them both.
But... not with him pregnant. The very thought of their normal games while Pravus was pregnant filled him with revulsion.
"Get out of the palace if you're going to do anything," he muttered with a grim twist to his lips, slowly releasing his vice-like grip on the furred arms. "I'd rather not deal with an Incident today, if you don't mind." He'd rather not let the man loose at all, not in this mood, but his options were limited. Maybe if he got it out of his system now he would get over this mood more easily.
