Private investigations. . . Though that certainly wasn't what the woman had been about to say. Kel dropped her eyes, wondering if she should press. But, no. She had no guarantee what the woman had been about to say and no reason to press about it. So she went off the occupation the woman had officially told her. "That's very interesting," she began to respond, her mind flicking briefly to the knowledge of her own abilities. She would, ironically or not, likely be well-suited for that sort of occupation.
A couple wandered close to their table, voices loud with drink or frustration. "Look, it's already four'o'clock, and he wants us there no later than half past the hour."
Kel shot up in shock. "Oh, Light, the time! Lariel, I have to go! Please, please, tell me we can meet again soon?" Her pale eyes turned pleadingly towards the woman, for forgiveness at her abrupt departure and for the other Ranger to give in to the request.

Lariel watched what she construed as wariness in Kel's eyes but was grateful when she apparently decided not to pursue the matter further. She should really be more careful about letting such things slip. It was just....she was getting comfortable in the Skunk's presence. It just goes to show it never pays to let your guard down, no matter who you were with.
Lariel watched the couple passed and softly growled. It's was just rude to be talking at that volume; they were practically shouting! Kel had mobilized at their conversation in a frantic way though, and Lariel was surprised to feel a small twinge of sadness. She had actually been enjoying herself. The Bobcat's face lit up at the request of her presence again soon, and Lariel nodded.
"Of course we can. I normally hang about in the Capital, or Furgus's if you're familiar with that bar. Feel free to look me up any time."
Lariel reached inside a flat compartment of her bracelet that linked to the piece of her homeland, and pulled out a small card. It was her business card; one that served for both businesses. It was one of the few ways to get in contact with the Bobcat without waiting for chance to bring them together.
"Here's my card. I look forward to hearing from you again soon," Lariel said, laying the card on the table and giving the Skunk one of her very rare smiles.

Kel picked up the card with a relieved smile, quick to tuck the item into her messenger back where she could access it easily later. "And you can find me at the Palace of Diamonds." Her eyes closed briefly as she gave the other Sorgaire Ranger a rather embarrassed smile. "Occasionally the main public library here in the Capital, but I'm still usually at the Palace."
Because she really just didn't have a life. Ah, well. She waved at her friend once again, and quickly paused to pay both of their tab. She could easily afford it afterall; her King's wages were excellent and she did little enough with them.
As she hit the street she turned back to wave one more time at the bobcat before nearly skipping on her way. An idea was already forming in the back of her mind; it would require a stop at Ashwin's shoppe, an idea that caused her to flush slightly. Well, it would be worth it and she truly did like the man. She gave a happy sigh and hurried on.

Lauryn and Sera receive 2 tokens each, to be redeemed in Ashwin's Shoppe. This will automatically be added to your recorded totals in the shoppe. Congratulations, and keep up the good RP!
