Kaiesha was in quite a state. She wasn't entirely sure how she'd ended up in such a horrible mess, but she had and now she was completely stuck. She'd never considered the idea that the elaborate dance costume had been designed for someone with a biped form and had managed to pull it most of the way on, but now she realized that it would be extremely difficult to get the uniform off again. Both of her mothers were busy with mountains of paperwork, as was her grandpapa Theofilus, and she wasn't willing to bother any of them any further than asking if they were busy. That was how she'd ended up outside of Kelasia's door in the first place. The skunk was family, after all, as close to another grandmother as Kaiesha could often find in the palace. She had knocked softly on the door, fully prepared to try and find someone else to help get her out of her current situation if the woman was busy. No response. The sparrow hybrid let out a dismayed chirp, shifting uncomfortably beneath the spandex of the costume. She was just preparing to walk away when she heard footsteps, and saw Kelasia's familiar figure approaching. Her expression brightened quite a bit. " Grandmama!" the girl chirped, then fell silent when she saw the other Ranger. Oh, dear. This was going to be embarassing, wasn't it?

Lariel looked sideways at Kel with one eyebrow raised. "Not aggressive enough?" The bobcat nearly laughed. "Well then I guess it's a good thing you know me then. We can work on that, if you want." The Ranger never had to teach anyone to be aggressive before, but knowing her own personality she was sure it could be done. Who better to teach aggressive than herself?
"I'm no where near ready for that form yet, but I've been working at it. Honestly I've been just so busy with my businesses I haven't had too much time for myself." Business had been booming lately, but what's the point of being a success if you didn't have time to enjoy it?
Lariel had been looking around the Palace as she was led through it, marveling at the sheer size of the building. She couldn't help but imagine the lengths it took to manage such a place like this. And all of the Cards! There were all kinds of Cards, all kinds of forms and all kinds of animals. The Bobcat had been around the Capital and conducted business there, but even the city hadn't seemed as grand as what was in these walls.
"Suits! How many people live here?"
Lariel spied what appeared to be a small and young Card in a pile of cloth. She'd never have guessed it was a dress from the mess it was now, but didn't bother to think on it because just then the small head turned towards them. Recognition flashed in its eyes and a second later it shouted at Kel.
Nearly choking, Lariel sputtered at her friend. "Did that Card just say....grandmother?!"

Kelasia blushed again and tried to figure out a way to explain. She would love to be more aggressive. . . well, perhaps not aggressive, but more confident? Maybe that was the right word. Lariel might have more luck with it; ironically or not she seemed more patient than Mnem, whose 'training' involved a great deal of cursing and threats. The poor Yarrow Gardens canine could not understand Kel's rather subservient nature, and certainly didn't understand the woman's nearly complete lack of a backbone.
"Well, at least your business is going well," Kel was pointing out softly as they approached her suite. Her attention was arrested, however, by the semi-related girl sitting at her door. At first, her mind couldn't quite make sense of what she saw. Kaiesha wasn't supposed to have those colours, after all and her fur and feathers were sticking up oddly because of the costume.
One part of her mind registered Lariel's gasp, but everything else went immediately to the little girl's predicament. "Oh, dear, Kaiesha," she murmured as she moved to the girl's side. "Wot happened?"

Kaiesha let out a rather pathetic chirp. She would have to go find someone else to help her, wouldn't she? She didn't want to go to the kitchens to ask the staff there for help, they'd be laughing at her for days. Pathetic blue eyes flicked from Kelasia's familiar form back to the unfamiliar bobcat, and the girl felt herself stiffen. She would leave, then.
But Kelasia was quick on her feet, and as soon as she neared the Lakeland child, the girl relaxed almost completely. "S-sorry to bother you, grandmama," she chirped, eyebrows rising slightly on her smooth forehead, little tail flaring broadly as she leaned back onto her haunches, pulling taloned forelimbs cutely against her chest. The movement was difficult, her body pulled awkwardly by the outfit, but help was on the way. "I was practicing my dances again... I wanted to dress up for Mama so shi could see how pretty it'll be when it's all done."
She sniffled. So much for that. The pathetic look returned to her expression. "It.. it doesn't really fit yet." She finished lamely. That was the understatement of the century, to say the very least. "I'm really sorry to bother you grandmama, but.. can you help me get it off?"
