HOKAI SO. got some bad news yesteday, apparently over the weekend my parents were forced to close the doors to our smoothie shoppe. i'm not really sure how to deal with this since it obviously has consequences for us but i'll try and be around as much as i can regardless.

...man. That really, really blows. I'm terribly sorry to hear that. I know with the current economic crisis, keeping smaller businesses afloat (and larger ones, yeesh) has been especially trying. With available debt drying up and businesses struggling to maintain a positive cash flow to meet their day-to-day operational needs, so many people are having problems.
I wish you guys the best and hope that you're able to cope as smoothly as possible. *snugs*

I'm trying to get them to close down for now and then think about re-opening when the economy is better... they're healthy smoothies so I think they would do great in a town covered in fast food because recently there have been tons of people wanting to get in shape (we opened in February btw). We'll see where the tide takes us I guess.

*nod* They picked a bad time to enter, unfortunately. This may give them time to strengthen their business plan, contact other small smoothie companies in nearby local markets to see how they've been coping with things, and get themselves in a good position to start things later. Hopefully. <3
