Pascha was less aware of the word game than she was; he was always somewhat vague with strangers, and liked to see if he could confuse them in general. It was less of a game and more of just what he did to people. Sometimes when he wasn't paying attention he'd do it to Aderlass, and wind up getting whacked by the cane until he started speaking a bit more coherently again.
"Obviously," He said lightly, but with enough weight in it to state he knew exactly how long she'd been here. "The Courts are a wonderful place to live - and unless the people you talk to have lived here for extended periods of time, I would suggest not taking their advice very often." The owl cackled a bit to himself, amusedly picturing the idiots she cavorted with. They were probably idiots, and Hearts to boot - not that he'd say that outloud. "And unless you're going to ask me specific questions.. I suggest you try it yourself and stay for a while, hmm?"

At least he'd given her his opinion on things. That was all Thyme had really been after in the first place. His words reaffirmed something too - she'd never seen her Aunt come to the Court of Clubs even once, much less live in the area for a period of time. Maybe it was just a particular person at the palace who'd gotten her goat in the past, or something the court had decreed that had pissed her off.
"Well, thank you for the input at any rate. I'm not ready to settle down anywhere just yet, but I would be interested in knowing how long you've been here, if you're so eager to answer more specific questions. Also, are there many mages in residence?" She knew very little overall about the differences in political climates between the Courts, what one specialized in and another lacked. "I have a particular interest in that area."

Tired of hanging upside down, Pascha let go of the branch and spread his wings quickly to flip himself over and landed with a light 'whoomp' a few feet in front of her. He immediately settled down in the manner of birds, his legs tucking slightly under his body and his wings coming in to rest next to it, nearly invisible as both were completely white. He tilted his head at her once more, blinking slowly once or twice. "I have been here for nearly five years." He replied after a pause, as the number hadn't came to him immediately. Had it been that long? It had, but it didn't seem like it.
As for mages.. what defined a mage, precisely? The owl really didn't know. "Our Queen, Aderlass, has rather firey talent in the magic area," He punned, gleefully snickering to himself at his own humor, "and of course the Kings have magics of their own. As I'm sure you know our magics are earth-based, but vary from Card to Card. If you want to find someone with talents near to your own.. I will need to know what yours are." Pascha said, his brow raising in question. Some people were extremely secretive about their magic - he himself preferred not to share - so it could be a highly personal bit of information to share. It would be interesting to see just how much she related, if anything.
Thyme could always read up on some recent histories to learn about each Noble's specific talents.. but that would take much more work, and would be less entertaining.

Thyme took a step back to give him room as he landed, not sure where the wings would be going. He made a tidy job of it, though, and she wondered if it was just an owl thing or a bird thing in general. Either way, it had a nice flair to it and she could appreciate the presentation. "Five years is a pretty long time," she agreed.
At his question, her eyes narrowed in slight amusement. The Queen had a fire affinity? Nifty. She didn't have an elemental association herself, nor any particularly destructive magic. Hers were of a more general and varied spectrum. There was only so much she would be willing to share, though. Part of her strength during questioning sessions was the lack of knowledge others had regarding her powers. "My talents are probably slightly different from most peoples'. I'm not a damage-dealer, if that's any great help."
She stood, shaking herself off slightly, and looked over at him. "One last question before I go and look around? I'm not particularly interested in settling anywhere just yet, but if I were... are there still plenty of openings for nobles in the Court?" She'd heard that there were, but she needed to confirm.

He shrugged contemplatively. "I suppose it is. Time doesn't mean much to me," he answered honestly, seeing no reason to lie to her. It wasn't as if she knew his history and would grasp the implications of it anyways.
The owl watched her reaction and was slightly amused by her response. She didn't want to share. That was perfectly fine, but she wouldn't be getting much help from him then. 'Destructive' and 'non-destructive' were rather broad categories, though he supposed taking the elements out helped. In any case, he really didn't care to think about it any longer. "It doesn't," He replied cheerfully, his stare unwavering.
Court openings? Only if she didn't want his spot.. He'd make it to King someday, that he was sure of. "Under Aderlass, to some extent. If you are willing to wait for others to.. reach their aspirations.. then yes."

Thyme swished her tail for a moment, running what he'd just said through her little mental interpreter. So there weren't many openings under the present Queen, who was the only one at present, but there would be if another stepped up beside him. Hmm. A good thing to keep in mind. Too bad she didn't have aspirations to raise her own rank or she might have had an even easier route.
Ah well. None of it was immediate, in any case. She inclined her head to the owl politely. "Alright, thank you. I appreciate the input, and your patience. It's nice to see that there are Tulgeys out in the world who aren't just insane or total pricks." Ah, siblings. "Maybe I'll see you later on if I decide to come back. Until then, have a nice day."
Manners... how could something be boring and amusing at the same time? She inclined her head and turned, trotting off into the palace proper.
((Aaaand we's done here?))
