The Court had been in his line of vision for quite awhile and now he was here. Eyes, which he had stopped and taken the time to clean before reaching this darker of courts (one must always make a good impression) drank in the site of it, delicate yet strong, fanciful and yet still remaining practical. He may actually enjoy his time here, for he was certain this Queen would have some placement for him. If his Suit didn't attract her, then maybe that unwavering charm he possessed would. He held his head high as he moved forward, constantly monitoring his surroundings not out of fear, but just educated caution. He also didn't wish for an attendant, or the Queen herself, to end up surprising him. He had a fair amount of pride and didn't wish for it to be shattered by such an unbecoming meeting. He was Osias after all, he had to be the vision of calm intelligence, of something better... he'd had the hopes of many a Lowlander riding on his scruffy shoulders since he was young and it molded him into something that he liked to believe was better then others of his region. He would, however, not forget the land of his birth and should he ever become anything more then he was he'd make sure at least some got the dues that they deserved. That fluffy feline had said that an attendant would take care of his request and, as he looked around, he began to wonder where such a creature was. Well, there was always one way to seek attention and he softly cleared his throat before making a simple inquiry. Hello, is anyone here? He'd nearly forgotten about the little musician and wondered briefly if she'd followed him here or what.

((lets say I came for my Jack Quest, which I did XD And that she took off to go do it? And then when her quest is done the Queen will find Osias. So basically. XD I think I need to leave the RP for now. At least until Osias finds the Queen, then the new Jack Lleurela might show up heheh. OH Because it's over 5 points I think we both get 3 for finishing the previous RP too *nod*))

((OOC: Woo! Let's do the time warp again!)) Lysaras moved slowly away from the stairs, feeling slightly guilty. She hated to leave anyone alone with him...especially when he was in a mood...but he had stated that he could see Lleurela this evening, and his schedule was best left in order. Still, Lysaras couldn't help but feel that she had just fed the poor girl to a raving monster...he did have his moods... She tried to shake the feeling of terrible discomfort, not an easy task while in her Human form, if only her King didn't see it as such a necessity for her to appear in it before him, but she found it best to let his eccentricities slide...just like many other things... She sighed and moved her left leg gingerly, her dress' bustle hampering her, her tall, leggy body was meant for long strides; not the tiny ones the bustle barely allowed. If only appearances didn't have to matter so... She wished to take her Bipedal form once more, but had resolved to at least make it away from the guards before doing so. She had made her way a bit further down the hall when a rather fluffy, prim form passed her by. Lysaras stopped and smiled. "Hello, Candice, how are things today?" The Queen's smile faltered as the feline gave her a look of pronounced revulsion. "My Queen, there is a Lowlander out there..." She hissed, the fur beneath her high collar rising, her green and cream brindle giving her the impression of a puffing toad. "He wants an audience with you...I wanted to tell him no, but I didn't know if you'd sent for him. I told him to wait for Kendich to come by and boot him out for you."Lysaras gave the Josiggy dweller a glare. "Candice, I care not for his type or realm, I meet with any who wish to see me. I care not what prejudices you hold, I told you before I wouldn't challenge your views, but you are not to press them on me. If I ever hear of you dismissing a guest without my knowledge you will lose this position. Is that clear?" The Feline had the grace to look abashed, and mumbled agreement under her breath. The Queen nodded, pale face slightly flushed. She then turned and marched off in the direction of the main hall. She heard an inquiring voice and rounded the corner, there was in fact, a Lowlander in her hall. A rat, thin and somewhat pitiful looking, though by no means the worst she'd seen. She moved forward with grace and spoke softly, wishing she had possessed time to regain her Bipedal form for this audience...how uncomfortable he must feel... "Yes, dear sir. There is, I am the Queen of Spades, how can I assist you?"

Osias waited, taking this time to get a good grasp on his surroundings should he have to get himself out of some sort of situation, which he was fully prepared to take part of should the occasion arise. However, he only wished for peace at present but it was best to prepare for the worst even when hoping for the best. Living in a fantasy world was the fastest way to find yourself in a fool's grave and Osias had come to far to let any small chance take his dreams away from him. But he had been told this Queen wasn't like the one that presided in the palace of Hearts, so perhaps he were safe in her presence, perhaps.
Rounded auditories twitched at the sound of footsteps and those eyes, which had barely begun to ooze again, caught sight of the Queen in her human form, the weakest one they possessed ... well... in his opinion anyhow. And her clothing was of the style at the time... restrictive, making her even more vulnerable. Odd that she'd appear to him in such a form, then again most other creatures were impressed with human forms, so perhaps it was logical.
He was also unaware of the fact that her servant had gotten a good ear full for trying to turn him out, which he'd blatantly ignored her... such ignorant fools weren't worth working yourself up over. She'd been in the presence of greatness and just hadn't realized it... but she would one day. And with that thought in mind he kicked his charm up to a higher degree and smiled pleasantly at the Queen, he'd picked up her name along the way as well and intended to try and gain a bit of favor with it... just a little.
My Lady Lysaras, I come seeking a position in your Court. I have many ... talents that may benefit you, should you choose to make use of them.

Lysaras eyed the Lowlander. There was something about his demeanor that she didn't quite like. It reminded her of one of her Kings especially...the way that his words could sound so pleasant....but the undertone could be almost threatening. She didn't want to appear racist, but at the moment she almost wished she had allowed Candice to toss him out.
There was something slimy about his demeanor...she couldn't put her finger on it. She didn't allow her expression to falter however, smiling graciously and giving a polite bow.
"Dear Osias, I would be happy to employ you in my Court. Is there anything in particular that you excel in that you feel would be a fitting position for you? I would hate to stuff you away in the kitchen if you feel that you have talents that are better employed elsewhere." She smiled at him, the uneasiness would not go away...but at the same time, she could not help but wonder what it was that would embolden the creature to come here. What was it he wanted to accomplish here? She would have to watch her water supply extra careful while he was present...she would hate to end up like the last Queen of Spades...
She extended a gloved hand and motioned toward a hallway on the left. "Speaking f the kitchens, shall I get you something to eat? Come, we can walk as we talk."

She may have been keeping her demeanor pleasant and unchanged, but there were other ways of telling someone was uncomfortable. Unless you took very careful measures, your body would betray you. There were keys from the very obvious fidgeting some did to the more subtle changes in heart rate and breathing and, to some degree, even your scent changed ... and rodents had quite good hearing and scenting abilities... He also was working off a gut feeling and ran with it.
Well, that can only be determined by what type of Queen you are... and what type of needs... or enemies... you posses.
And with that he dropped his level of charm and that constant grin he wore took on a slightly menacing appearance now.
However, I will assure you that no harm shall come your way, your Court isn't ... in my sights.
It may not comfort her, but it might and he really didn't have any need for this Court except for residency and employment, that's all it was to him. And for now his plans were better plotted from afar, but he would still need to stay on top of things and the Courts were best for any big news coming through.
And yes ... a bite to eat would be most appreciated, I haven't' had a thing all day.
He had also caught the scent of his little musician on the Queen as well, so he might play that card later as well to build her trust a bit, if he could. He also began to debate upon his Bi-Pedal form as well, it may be beneficial here as well.

Lysaras was barely able to stop herself from shivering when the strange creature dropped his charm, his seriousness unshakable.
She watched him, her features now impassive, as she made her decision. She smiled and nodded to the rat, hands steepled.
"Very well, dear sir...I accept your offer. Please accompany me to the kitchens."
She moved off down the hallway. Your Court is not in my sights...
What on earth did this Lowlander have in mind...? She didn't know, but she did know that in order to keep your fears away, you had to pull them close. She smiled at him, eyes showing that she was relaxing at last.
"So what kinds of things are you putting out there as services exactly, I would hate to give you a job that you wouldn't be proficient in. Where is it you might like to go for me first?"
As she spoke, she led the rat into the kitchens. A few of the cooks and servants looked up, worried, until the Queen smiled at them. "Please bring this gentleman some choice cuts of beef and perhaps some of the cheese danishes?" She murmured, before leading the rat out, and down the hall to a small private dining room. Once inside she shut the door. She seated herself in a high backed chair across the table and faced him, all thoughts of a smiling mask gone.
"Now, my dear sir...let us discuss matters more thoroughly..."

He followed her down the hall, his confidence feeding off of her nervous energy with each step. It was quite invigorating to him to be the concern of a Queen, it only meant his skills were improving at a higher rate then he had anticipated. It was something he'd brag to had he any to do such a thing with, can't trust a soul when you're nothing but a dirty rat now can you?
As her nervous energy began to dissipate, his confidence did not falter in the least, he could he'd gotten where he wanted to be and now a serious discussion would ensue, of course his mannerisms shift with each individual subject that seemed to pop up. His ears twitched when she asked him a question but he remained silent until they were withing a somewhat secured environment and took a seat after her, showing at least a little respect to a higher up.
My main skill is silence... I can get into anywhere, around anyone without being detected should I desire to do so... I also have a few ... natural abilities that enhance this skill... one being my ability to fit myself into spaces even smaller then my head. So I suppose espionage is my forte then?
He did not mention the fact that this silence implement rested in safe keeping, nor did he divulge the knowledge that he could gnaw through most materials, another thing that made rodents, especially rats, such proficient ... pests. But he did allow a bit of a chuckle at this, it did sound a little funny to his ears to be described as such.
However, I must also interject the fact that I am not as bad as I seem, the little musician, Lleurela, that you smell of can attest to that.
And with that a charming smile appeared upon his muzzle as he gazed at the Queen.

Lleurela? Lysaras relaxed, she couldn't help it, she could smell the Chipmunk on the rat, now that she thought about it, and Lleurela had been nervous, but happy when she had seen her just a bit ago. If this rat was her friend, then never mind his slightly odd ways, he must a t least be slightly trustworthy...perhaps she could have her new Jack keep an eye on this man...
"You certainly know how to play your cards right..." She murmured, shaking her head slightly. "You've got me there and silence is something I may be needing shortly..." She smiled, not really knowing if she would ever need this rat's help or not, but knowing that better safe than sorry was always a good route, besides, she didn't currently have a Diamond in residence, this would certainly make her feel better...she liked the feel of at least one of each deck working for her.
"I did not at all suggest that you were bad, dear sir." She then said, placing her teacup in its saucer and looking at him in a way that would freeze water. "But I do have to admit that when you speak to people you tend to make them feel as though they are beneath you, and I will not accept that behavior in my Court unless it is used defensively... I would appreciate if you smartened yourself up too." The last bit was said with a smile in her eyes, however. She passed him a plate of chicken that a servant laid on the table.
"I'll take you up to your quarters shortly, they're being prepared as we speak, I trust you'll find them comfortable. You may come and go from the palace as you wish, though I have no doubt that you would have done so regardless, realize that I have no qualms with your doing so. Is there anything special you will be requiring?"

When she relaxed the air in the room, to him, lifted from moderately tense to normal which in turn spiked that charm that seemed to just ooze from the rat. He shifted a bit in his seat, finding it somewhat a pain to sit and have any sort of a conversation in this animal form, but persisted with it it as the Queen was speaking again and she captured his full attention once more. Of course he knew how to play his cards right... he was a member of the Fang born to the region with the most hardships... he assumed it was only natural that it affected him in some... positive manner and at her expression of this he merely nodded, still listening. Did this Queen have a bit of trouble, or perhaps scandal upon her hands? It seemed she may be expecting soemthing... unpleasant. At her gaze his wiry fur bristled softly as if in anticipation of some sort of aggressive outburst and, should she start it, Osias had no qualms returning said aggression, but her words, and tone of voice, seemed to dismiss this and his fur stood down once more, looking only slightly more scruffy then before. You see, my dear Queen, the Lowlands are quite the rat eat rat realm, I'm afraid it stems from there but I shall work on it if it displeases you. And he was back to how he was when he arrived, bright and oozing with more charm then anything that looked remotely like him should have. However it was becoming increasingly more uncomfortable for him to sit in this form, he didn't like it anyway, animals were meant to stay upon the floor much like his beloved, if not feisty, bander was meant to. Please give me a moment my Queen, I must make an adjustment. And with this he scooted himself to the floor and away a bit shifting smoothly to his bi-pedal form, it was his preffered form anyhow and he grinned at Lysaras moving back to his seat. Much better. He now accepted the chicken with a courteous nod of his head. You may not even realize I'm here. I also must ask.... do you allow other Banders within your walls? I scented one on my way in and I was merely wondering if I could bring Sezja here as well.
