His ears perked at the sudden change in the equine's voice, it seemed he'd hit a positive mark with the Jack that had to do with something that he was rather proud of. Very well, it seemed the bloke wasn't quite as daft as he'd initially thought. At the equine's last sentence his emerald visionaries took on a rather wicked gleam and he grinned, showing those fangs a bit once more.
Yes, and she thirsts for more of their blood. That is why I train so hard every day, I wish to aid in the eradication of those lowly vermin once and for all.
He did indeed have very strong beliefs in the Josiggy Way and hated the Lowlanders with in inborn passion. Something simply had to be done about them, and, in his mind, the possession of a weapon such as his was a sign that he was destined for some form of greatness in the matter. He was quite willing to lay his life on the line to do so as well as long as it aided his realm in the end.

The stallion's ears swiveled towards the small creature, continued interest in his gaze. Well, well... the little man seemed to have a great deal right in his head, then. At least he wasn't one of those freakin' bleeding hearts, no pun intended. Very good. The stallion wnated to keep an eye on this guy, but, here in the Marsh, there really wasn't an easy way, so, sadly, he'd likely have to leave the lower Heart to his own devices.
"Well, Jarvis," the man said easily. "I wish you luck on your training and adventures. If I can be of assistance, just let me know. It seems we have a common interest."
He gave a dark smile and a light twitch of his tail. "For now, however, I must bid you farewell." With that he turned and disappeared back in the brush, wondering if he would ever see the strange creature again.

He'd been caught in the moment when he'd been speaking, and he was coming down from the rush when Rai began to speak again, which in turn made his own ears perk. He was leaving, already? Well that seemed like a bit of a shame, but he did really need to go back to his training, didn't he?
Very well, your Excellence, until we meet again.
He suddenly became aware of the fact that he hadn't gotten the stallions name, but it seemed like he wouldn't for the Jack was already gone and out of sight. But, should he want to, it shouldn't be hard to find an equine with a whip like tail, could it? Such features were rather, noteworthy.
And thus the chipmunk picked up his spear again and, feeling rather invigorated after such a talk, rose up onto his hinds once more and had another go at the tree, this time deciding to give it a good toss before he stumbled and landed upon his rump. The spear, however, connected with the trunk and stuck there. He'd done it, not exactly how he'd initially intended to, but he hit his mark none the less.
He sat there, grinning like a fool and terribly pleased with himself. His father would certainly be pleased.
