Vic slipped out another door and around a corner, ignoring the faint wail from somewhere behind him as he bolted across another hallway. Aha! The big door! If he could get out of that and it closed behind him, Brim would be ages catching up. With that cheering thought, the horse bipedal cracked a door that he had no intention of going through and dashed down another corner to hopefully throw Brimstone off the trail so he had time to get through the big door.
Fate's large ears lifted at the sound of Scourge's voice and she paused beside Fey as the other girl skid again. "We're coming!" she called out to Scourge, waiting briefly for Fey to pick herself back up so they could dash after their brothers yet again.
Vic jerked hard to get the big door open, and managed to not only get it to open, but to /over/ open the stupid thing as it creaked wide open and made a highly annoying and obvious sound. He growled under his breath as he tried to get it to stop again.

Scourge didn't really care whether his sisters were coming at this point. He wasn't trying to show the girls he was cooler than them, he was trying to show Vic and Brim that they weren't all that and a bag of yummy snacks. He ran around the corner, tail whapping dully into furniture and the doorjam, but he was oblivious. It didn't hurt anyway, but he'd have some really cool looking bruises under the fur of his tail later.
Brim emerged at the end of the corridor opposite Vic. "Ha! I'm gonna catch you!" he said. He charged down the corridor, but he didn't expect to catch the horse biped yet. He couldn't always catch Vic before Vic got tired, which usually happened because of all the metal and bone sticking out of him. "Better run!" he said. He wasn't ready for the chase to be over yet either way.

Vicious said a very not happy word as he heard Brimstone down the hallway. His ear flicked towards his brother, but he didn't turn. Instead he grasped the handle with both hands and threw his head back as he slung his weight backwards to jerk the door back closed. He got it moving and that was about it. Snot, snot! Forget it, that would have to work. The yellow bipedal horse, threw himself backwards, whirling in midstride so he was facing the outside and just started to run outside. He caught sight of a guard down the way and lifted a hand in greeting even as he leapt off the stairs and did a controlled tumble on the ground at the bottom.
Fate's head jerked around as she caught sight of Scourge's tail and heard Brim's voice directly after. "Hurry, Fey!" she called excitedly as she trotted faster that direction. "They're heading to the door!"

Brimstone laughed and picked up the speed. He had plenty of time to get himself through, but he didn't want to risk it anyway. He cleared the still-moving door with plenty of room and time to spare, and waved at the same guard. "Hi!" He caught sight of his brother and changed direction, leaping down the stairs and rolling at the bottom to keep his momentum going without risking hurting his joints. This was something they'd started doing naturally, and hadn't needed to be shown. He couldn't imagine doing things any other way.
Scourge saw Brimstone's tail slip out the big door and he scrambled after him, trying to keep his purchase on the slick sandstone floor, tail dragging a little behind him. He had less room than Brim, but still enough to get through if he sucked in a little. He didn't bother to stop the door for his sister, either. He saw Brim, and charged after him.

"You can't keep up!" Vicious called back over his shoulder, glancing once and spotting Scourge slipping through the faster and faster closing door. It seemed the weight of the door was enough to increase its own momentum. He made a face as he saw their fussy brother making it through and was about to turn back again.
"Out the door!" Fate called and put on a burst of speed as Scourge slipped through easily. It was closing faster and faster, but she didn't have time to stop. With a squeak of fear, the girl darted through the door, and thought the had made it safely. Her forward motion was suddenly stopped as the door slammed shut on the glass rose decorating the end of her tail.
Momentum and weight overcame the heavy glass of her tail. It cracked with the sound of falling tears, and the next thing she knew, there was an explosion.
