The weight attached to the feline's hind leg was an annoying but Mephit ignored it for the time being, far too satisfied by those cries to truly care for long. Fear, pain... It was all delicious. especially when you where the one causing it.

The surrender came more easily than Mephitisia had expected, but she ignored the disappointment of that in favor of the new test subject she had. This little feline... She never had any intention of telling Pravus that such a thing belonged to him, it seemed almost filthy to even suggest it, but she wasn't about to tell Eldy that.

"Good girl." Mephitisia smirked and swung around on her hoof, striding toward her work station. With caution only to make sure Eldy's bindings didn't dent her table, Mephit dropped the little Spade onto the table before her. No poison immunities, perfect. "I have a little riddle for you, kitty... If you answer right I might go easy on you... If not, well... I get to try one of my experimental venoms."

Eldryia suppressed the urge to scream when she was suddenly flung onto the work table. Her tail wrapped firmly around her in fear as her over large eyes glanced around. So many vials. . so many fluids. . so many ways to die. Her attention snapped back to the doe and watched her every move, waiting for the one that would hurt.

"A. . a riddle?"

Her ears were pinned back flat to her head and her shoulders hunched as if she could protect herself from what was coming. Please make it quick . . What if she died down here and momma never found her? Never figured out what happened? It would cause momma so much pain. That's all Eldy's brain could focus on as she felt herself nod. She just hoped she knew the answer.

It was better than being killed by her own papa. Wasn't it?

With eyes blazing in the half-light of the dungeon, Mephitisia watched Eldy's terrified gaze scanning over the vials and syringes lining her table. The feline's thoughts were churning, occasionally snaking in fearful thoughts of the doe herself.

"Yes. A riddle...or, perhaps, just a simple question; it's a matter of perspective." The doe loomed closer, hand lingering over the collection of poisons. "Think carefully before you answer: What is the meaning of life? The reason for our existence."

Mephit leaned back then, giving Eldy 'room to think' despite the fact that she continued to loom heavily over the small feline. She couldn't wait to hear her answer. Even if she got it right, that alone would give a wonderful insight into the inner workings of the feline's mind.

"You've got five minutes to answer, and I want you to think on it. For every errant guess you make I'll deduct a 30 seconds, so choose wisely."
