The ferret flattened himself against the wall as best as he could, not wanting to be in the way any more than necessary. As soon as Donnie spit the words out they rushed their attempts to get her onto the stretcher, practically throwing her on in their haste. He winced in sympathy - getting jostled around couldn't be comfortable.
Within a few minutes they had her on the stretcher and were zooming out of the kitchen to her rooms. Mia followed half-heartedly, partially to make sure they made it there without one half of the party killing the other, partially wondering if he was going to be fired as soon as she regained concious thought. She certainly had all the right to do so - nearly blinding your boss wasn't a great start to a working relationship of any kind. He watched to make sure she got into her bed, told the nurses to bring her the strongest pain-relieving tea they had in an hour, then scattered to his rooms to hide for a few days.
