(( OOC: .... XD Loreta is not in the mood for warm fuzzies, so don't be insulted by her pure anger towards everyone and everything. She wants violence or at least to verbally tear someone to bits. ))Anger. That's all Loreta had on her mind as she stalked through the dark streets. Instead of her normal white dress, she wore one that trailed on the ground. She didn't need any extra looks from her damn leg. Her baseball bat was slung over her shoulder, her Tove was wrapped around her neck. She had a glass eyes now, that didn't quite match her normal one, but at night she hoped no one would notice. She should have turned over a new leaf or some crap like that. She was now missing an eye and looked five years younger. Woo-hoo. That didn't prevent her from wanting to bash someone's skull in. She growled. Honestly she should have been happy to be alive, after the incident, she should get over herself and go home. Work in the kitchen. Bake something maybe. Fuck that. She needed to vent and she couldn't manage to drink any alcohol since that night. Might as well go around looking for trouble. And who would randomly approach her looking for a fight? She dared anyone to try.

Well. Damn. She wasn't supposed to be here at all. The Esterberry's eyes scanned the open streets. She moved slowly and close to the ground. This was bad place to be. Shady. She had always been told that she shouldn't stray far from the beaten path. And look at her now. Penny swallowed as she tried to hurry along the streets. She had to find her way out of this place before someone found her. A low ranking card like herself... what was she supposed to do if someone can down the street and tired to-- Her ears perked instantly when she heard the sound of something whistle. Her heart stopped as she stood there, horror across her face. Something... someone was coming and they had already seen her approach. There was a human figure barely visible in the dim light quickly closing the gap between the two. And she was holding something.

Loreta saw someone in the distance. Slowly she made her approach. Was it someone to take all her anger on? A smile twitched on her human face. Pain. Oh how she wanted to see someone suffer that very moment. They'd beg for the beating by the time she was done.
She swung her bat once before placing it back on her shoulder with a far from innocent whistle. As the pair grew closer she could feel her heart rate increasing. Oh, she just hoped that they would say or doing something wrong so she would have an excuse. It was awful. It was cruel, but she wasn't going to put up with anything anymore.
Dead silence went between the pair as they passed each other. Loreta raised an eyebrow at the canine deer mix. It was a rather... ugly Esterberry. Honestly she thought most of the people in that region were supposed to be pretty and smart.

She was a deer caught in a metaphorical set of Corvie headlights as she found herself staring at the woman passing her. The bat, the creature around her neck, everything was just painfully intimidating about her. And she couldn't even read the woman's rank.
But damn. She was ugly. With a nose like that she could take out someone's eye. Not to mention her eye looked weird. Ugh. If she wasn't a sketchy character, who was in this horrible place?
And then Penny saw something when the woman took a step. It was clearly in her light of sight. A foot that wasn't human. "Oh dear god! You're a monster!" flew out of her mouth long before she realized what she was saying.
Of all the things she could have done, opening her mouth wasn't something she had planned. She stood there, looking up at the woman with terrified frightened eyes.

Loreta stared for a moment in utter silence. "Why thank you," she said with a smile as she swung her bat again. Of course, this time it was aimed directly at the canine deer. She wasn't going to hold back. She wasn't going to hold back just because it was another person. Hell if she cared about people's well beings.
But she would have honestly preferred to hit a Lowlander.
The heron made sure to aim for the head. It wasn't that difficult, considering the situation the pair of them were in. If the deer didn't move she would probably get a crack in the jaw from the permanently blood stained bat. The sound alone would be enough to send chills down the other woman's spine. Or so she hoped to inspire enough fear that she would be able to have a little fun, perhaps a fight on her hands.

She had never been the strong one in the family. Or the pretty one. Or much of anything. She was still in college without a major. Useless to her family, worthless to her so called friends. She was what most Esterberry's called a waste of space. This baseball bat to the face just made everything all the more apparent.
With a resounding crack that filled the empty streets, the bat made contact square with Petunia's jaw. She let out a horrible shriek before falling to her side. The pain and the overwhelming feeling of despair and misery was more than enough to cause Petunia to black out.
It was a sight to see the Esterberry sprawled out on the cobble stones, bleeding from the mouth, the blood staining the white fur. Helpless. It was the one thing she had always feared. Even if she had decided to do something with her life academically, what would it help if she was attacked in the street like this? Clearly academics wouldn't save her.

If that wasn't the let down of the century. The woman frowned as she rested the bat on her shoulder once again, looking down at the now prone form of the Esterberry. Apparently they really didn't know how to fight, or at the very least this one knew nothing about self defense.
And it didn't seem like she was with anyone. So she would just be sitting there, out in the gutter, where someone could take advantage of her. Then again, who would take advantage of an ugly mug like that?
She snorted. Then again someone had killed her, and she had thought no one would bother with a loud mouthed bitch with no power. The woman frowned at the thought of what the canine would do if they ever crossed again. That's what she got for not thinking things through and asking questions later. Damn.
The heron looked around, checking to see if anyone had heard the racket. With a small nod she shifted to her animal form, taking grip of the bat tightly in her taloned foot before taking flight.

And here he was, in the sketchy place that everyone avoided. Rocky hated to admit that sometimes he needed to look for supplies in less than reputable places, especially when he was searching for a suitable set of wings for someone or something. He didn't expect to trip over an unconscious body. And boy did he trip. Stumbling, and nearly falling flat on his face, Rocky found himself trying to hop over the body of some strange card. He glanced at the puddle of blood that was still forming around her mouth. Had he been so out of it trying to find the supplier that he hadn't heard someone yell. With him being him it was entirely more likely than he was willing to admit. The raccoon gave a small frowned as he looked at the body. He reached out and poked it carefully. The ear seemed to involuntarily twitch in response. Good then, she was alive. The raccoon decided to do the right thing. Why not, he might get something out of it later? Good Karma or something like that. With a great deal of effort he managed to put the unconscious woman on his back. He would just stop by that Corive's medical shop before dropping her off somewhere with care instructions.

It wasn't every day you ended up waking up with your mouth wired shut. The Esterberry was utterly horrified when she found herself in a shady sort of hotel where the wallpaper was pealing and there were rather strange stains...
She shuddered. It wasn't a bad dream though, because her mouth was in fact wired shut. Skillfully done by some sort of Corive. The last thing she honestly remembered was being hit in the face with a baseball bat. She had been left in the street... well she had assumed that someone who had attacked her would have just left her there.
And yet here she was: patched up and staring at the ugly yellowed wallpaper. And to make everything better all her belongs where nowhere to be seen. She made a small whining sound as he dragged herself out of the bed. Nothing else seemed to be broken or out of place...
She peaked her head out of the door only to find a bright flurry of color in her face. She would have cursed if it weren't for her mouth.

Rocky perked up when he say the woman wake up. "Oh! Hello! I'm glad to see you're awake. I have some pills to give to you since the doctor said you're probably going to need pain killers soon. Also, I have the instructions on what you can and can't eat."
The raccoon proceeded to rattle off several things. While the dog deer just watched in confusion. He proceeded to mention that the hotel bill was paid for, and quite a few other things before handing her some packages and walking off all smiles.
He was terribly cheerful and happy that the girl was all right. Of course he didn't know that all her money was missing, and that the only thing left in her backpack was her hotel keys and pieces of her assignments in ruin. To him everything would be perfectly fine. At least he had done something nice by helping her out.... even if he forgot to ask her name.
