Pentunia was truly at a loss. The numbing pain combined with the confusing actions from a Corvistowneian was just a little too much to actually process information properly. He was gone before she could say anything or even bother to make a mutter in response. She shook her head to clear her jumbled thoughts before carefully slipping the bag with all the medicine around her neck.
Her spring break was almost over. She had to go back home and explain to the professors about how she was attacked and now all her hard work was destroyed. So much for relaxing and getting things done. So much for having a wild and crazy adventure--well no. She had one earlier, and this was definitely under the label of "adventure." Hopefully her teachers would believe this utterly ridiculous story. The broken jaw should at least let her get a break from the oratory classes. Otherwise life was going to get painfully complicated.
She growled as she trotted down the hallway of the shabby little hotel.
