"Well, if you want to come to Corvistowne you can hang out with me. Dad gave me his old house, so I have plenty of room. It's a pain to clean though, with the size of it. I'm tempted to rent rooms out." Parsley said as he padded towards the tea house. The mouse was already out of sight, but he would find him, no problem, he was sure.
"At least you plan on keeping up with your siblings. Glad to hear Poe's doing well. Sage really liked her." He shrugged. "I should keep better track of my family, but Rose seems to do it better than I do. I know that Sage is planning to go to Villa, but apparently something weird happened to her. Something about wings. Rose is doing well with all her crazy, Thyme is plotting like she normally does, and Alphonse is a stuffed shirt who still lives at home."
That covered it all right? Yeah. Yeah it did. "Aha! There's the mouse!" Parsley said as he padded towards the table, motioning to Parzi to follow. Without hesitation the Jack sat down at the table, smile on his face.
Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "Who invited you?"
Parsley shrugged before pushing a seat out for Parzi. "Me, anyway, Parzi, do you want to stay at my place when you come to Corvistowne? Or at the very least, do you want to stay in a hotel with me and split the bill?" He turned to the bird with a smile.

Parzifal looked thoughtful. He really hadn't given much attention to where he would be staying, as he'd already mentioned, and he had planned to visit Corvistowne sometime in the near future. His master had never liked the place and so he'd never so much as entered the region. "You know, I don't have much money with me now, but if I got a small job in between my studies and cleaned the house for you, would you let me stay for a few months? I've gotten very good at cleaning." He ended that statement on a dryly amused note.
He weaved his careful way through the tables and chairs of the tea house, thankfully spaced far enough apart to accommodate a variety of animal and biped forms. A fully-sized animal bull could probably fit through at least one of the paths, so he was just fine. "Sorry for the intrusion," he said with a brief feathery shrug to the Mid-Ranger. "I'm just following him, and he's apparently following you. Hopefully we won't ruin your day too badly."

The mouse raised an eyebrow as he watched the pair of Cards in front of him. His ears drooped as his tea arrived and the waitress came to take their orders. What exactly was he supposed to say to all this.
He shrugged in reply to the bird's comment. "I suppose it doesn't matter really."
Parsley's ears twitched at the offer of cleaning the house. that would be utterly amazing, considering the mess it was. "If you clean my house you can stay as long as you want. The place is a bloody mess and I don't even know where to start. The only thing is, the basement is off limits. It's creepy down there and.... I don't want to be responsible if anything crawls out of that place to kill us in the dead of night."
He waved a paw. "Now that that's out of the way, on to more exciting things. Any plans for today, Parzi?"
The mouse raised an eyebrow. Why was he here if he was being treated like a piece of furniture.
Parsley turned to the Mid-ranger. "You too, what plans do you have today?"
"Plans to get away from you."
"Pwsh."

The poor gray mouse really seemed aggravated, in a calm sort of way. Parzi felt bad about it, but there wasn't anything he could do without causing a scene or being obnoxious, so he would do his best to ignore the tension unless things got out of hand.
"Um, cleaning is fine. I've gotten pretty good at it, and really... your house can't be worse than some of the stuff that Mast- er, Vren cooked up. He was a mage. Lots of boom, sometimes huge messes, and he was a terrible pack rat. It was our job to organize some of the stuff, when we weren't taking care of him. Spiders are tasty if they're big enough, and I'm not scared of most of the creatures that come out of piles like that. Whatever's in your basement, I'm not touching it." No, he didn't particularly want to open the door for his murder. Warnings like that were usually best left heeded, unless he learned more about it and decided otherwise.
Between them, the pair of vermin made the skin at the edges of his beak twitch up into a small smile. What odd, odd people. He would expect it out of a Corvie raised in the Tulgey, but he wondered what the mouse's story was. "Plans? Erm... find a hotel? Try to come up with some sort of direction in life? Though I guess that direction is Corvistowne, for the time being."

Parsley grinned. "You'd be surprised about the mess I have, but yeah. It's not as bad as your master. Anyway, I can solve your hotel problem I suppose. If you're going to be cleaning my house I'll just add that bill to it."
He didn't have huge amounts of money to his name, but he could pay for a cheap hotel for two. That wouldn't be absolutely awful. He smiled at the very thought.
Ichigo continued to ship his tea in slight agitation. He could leave the bill for these two to pay. That would be one way to get away from them, but that wouldn't be a very honorable thing to do. He drooped a bit as he took a longer sip of his tea. "There's a cheap hotel on 7th street two blocks from here," he said quietly.
Parsley smiled, "I do like Mid-rangers. They're quite well mannered, don't you think Parzi?"

The other young man would be willing to cover his hotel bill? Parzifal's feathery eyebrows shot up in surprise. "If you want to put a hotel bill on my cleaning tab, that would be just fine with me. I promise that you won't regret it. I'm an old hand at cleaning some pretty... weird stuff. Your house won't be a problem." Probably just time consuming and covered in choking dust. He could deal with that, no problem.
Besides, company would be pretty welcome. He was used to spending all of his time with either his siblings or his master. Being alone was almost disconcerting.
When the mouse suggested a less pricey hotel, he couldn't help but wonder at the generosity of strangers. It would have seemed suspect if it hadn't happened under such a strange premise. Maybe that was a naive way to think, but he wouldn't know. He just hoped it didn't backfire.
"Thank you very much for the suggestion. I don't know much about this city at all, really." He sipped at his drink and watched the squirrel, who seemed much louder and more outgoing. "He's the first Mid-Ranger I've ever spoken with for more than a minute or two, but it certainly seems that way."

This really was just confirming Ichigo's theory that everyone outside the Mid-Range was crazy. Or at least everyone he had had the pleasure of meeting had something weird about them. Even people he would consider friends were a little out there.
Was there such a thing as normal? Probably not. The mouse shrugged that thought off as he watched the pair. The hotel he recommended was indeed cheap. Sketchy. But the pair of them could probably handle it. After all, it wasn't in the part of town where you couldn't walk without nearly being mugged every five feet. He had run into that part of town completely unaware.
Though he was sure that the fairy squirrel could be easily mistaken for a girl. Frankly, if it weren't for his voice Ichigo would have mistaken the boy for a girl. "Maybe you should take a few classes on manners, yourself," he commented with a smile at the squirrel.

The squirrel raised an eyebrow at the comment from the mouse. He even had a nice way of being snotty, didn't he now? "My, aren't we just prim and proper. Rather fantastic aren't you?"
He rolled his eyes. He was fully aware that he had the social skills of a post. Honestly, he wanted nothing to do with most people. They were stupid, annoying and had no concept of vision. That aside he turned to Parzi. "You'd be surprised at the weird things in my house. Most of them belonged to my grandparents and Dad before he ended up in the Wood. I don't know what to do with all the stuff... and I still haven't figured out how to get into some of the hidden rooms."
His family was paranoid. At least, that part of his family had been, unfortunately most of them were dead. The squirrel eyed the tea that had been set in front of him by the waitress, and ignored it some more. "You'll have to tell me about some of the weird your master came up with. Mom and Dad never really told me much about him, and I've always been curious."

Parzifal smirked over the edge of his teacup at the interaction between the two. Yes, the Corvie had a ways to go before his 'dealing with strangers' manner was anything other than abrasive. Vren wouldn't have been able to stand him as a servant. Then again, the Tulgey didn't have the best opinion of Corvistowne anyway, which was one reason he'd always wanted to visit the region - he'd never been taken there before.
"Hidden rooms are usually hidden for a reason," he pointed out. "Not to say I won't be curious what's in them too, but there's probably a reason you can't get in, for good or ill." Maybe they had more things like whatever was in his basement?
He watched the quiet calm of the Mid-Ranger with a touch of envy. The man really was collected, even after being accidentally assaulted and then followed by a crazy squirrel. "Vren's come up with all sorts of things over the years. Do you know he's only a Jack, but he has enough extra powers that he may as well be fully ranked? Of course, he's exploded enough parts of his study that none of the floors are original anymore and there are scorch stains embedded into the rock walls."

The mouse rolled his eyes as he continued to sip his tea. Maybe he should just leave the pair of them with the bill. He glanced down at his now completely empty cup.
Decide now or get stuck here with them for another cup.
He let out a small sigh. He really wanted to continue sipping his tea. "Do you boys always leave a third person in your conversation in the cold? It might be nice of you to include me since you decided to randomly show up and hijack my table."
And he was probably paying the bloody tab.
Parsley waved a paw at Parzi. He was probably right about the hidden rooms. Either way one day the squirrel was going to find all of them. And Vren did sound rather interesting. What additional sort of powers did he have anyway? The squirrel only mused briefly before the mouse interrupted.
"Well generally I don't talk to people. I like to live in my phobic box, you see." The squirrel shrugged. "Do you have anything you can think of saying Parzi. I don't do this stranger thing often enough."
