“Fishing is a little bit of an odd word choice for my attentions, my friend. I am not sure if I appreciate you applying that I am some kind of cat trying to get a meal.” He replied to the horse’s comment towards him.
The mouse just watched the horse for a moment, weighing all the information that he had taken in. He was not quite sure what to think of what the horse had offered or if he should continue to try and get information out of him. It was mostly just pure curiosity. Plus this would also allow him to maybe figure out what he was going to do with his plans.
“Even an abstract view is still a view none the less, even if it might not be quite accurate in nature. At least you have some idea of what you are going to do with your future.” He nodded his head before taking a sip from his drink. “As for the eccentric nature of the Queen of Hearts it only adds to the fun.

”It adds something,” the stallion murmured under his breath, eyes rolling slightly. Wot that something was, however, the horse just did not know. He was unwilling to say anything –bad- against the Queen, especially not when he wasn’t certain it wouldn’t some day get back to the powerful man. No, better to continue to play it safe, cards close to his chest. It was how he had survived this long.
”You imply,” the Josiggy Marshdweller jumped back in topic, wanting to avoid awkward conversation about his Queen for now. ”That you have no plan for your future. Can this be true? Why would you be here in the Capital rather than your home region without a plan?” From the little he had gathered from the mouse’s personality, it didn’t seem to follow the way the other man’s mind worked. The stallion would have bet money that Aderlass would know exactly wot he was doing before coming to the Capital. Then again… perhaps he was just projecting his own nature on others.

The mouse was a little taken aback at how close the arrow had come to its target regarding his reasoning. While he would never assume that his goals or personality was not unreadable he just was not used to people knowing him well enough to guess.
“Well . . . of course I have some specific reasons for coming to the Capital.” he began before hesitating. He was not sure how much he wanted to reveal to the horse. While he would not quit consider them friends, the horse was probably the one he would trust the most at the current moment. He decided to play it safe anyway. You could never take back words once you said them aloud, after all.
“I decided to come to the Capital with plans of setting up a shop. I heard that this was the best place to do it since the Capital is the place for all dwellers.” He finally decided to tell the horse.

Shinrai gave a small nod, a bit surprised at the idea of Aderlass as a merchant. He was also curious about that long pause as though the mouse was deciding exactly wot to tell him. The hesitation, at least, wasn’t a surprise, but the stallion did rather wish he could know wot was going through the other man’s mind at that moment. But he had no reason to give any indication as to his curiousity, so he did not.
”A shop?” the horse echoed lightly. ”Now that’s very interesting. Wot sort of business do you follow, Aderlass?” he asked, letting his interest show in this question at least. After a moment it rather occurred to him to also inquire, ”Have you found a suitable location for your store already?” Not that the stallion really had a specific place in mind, he was just hoping to get an answer to his query.

The mouse wiggled his gloved fingers at his friend, as if it was obvious. “I deal with the crafts of jewelry, my dear friend, Jewel-crafting along with that of metallurgy. I have hopes of opening up a shop that will sell the jewelry made by many of this capital’s fine citizens. Almost like a union in some ways, I suppose. I want to be able to help those who are new and old to this craft sell their goods and have somewhere to gather and learn.”
He was quite proud of his ambition. It was a goal he had set for himself a long time ago an he was seeing threw now.
“I have my eye set on a few places. There is one place that is right on the edge of the crafts district which has lodgings attached that I currently have my eye on. I am trying to work out the payment situation now, though if all goes well then I should be able to open soon after the holidays.”
He was a little more worried over what the equine would think over his plans then he wanted to admit to himself. Taking a large sip he covered his nervousness.

The stallion rolled the concept around in his mind for a bit before trying to clarify wot he thought he heard the mouse saying. ”You’re making a sort of showroom and gallery for local talent?” the horse said curiously, he found the idea amusing in the ‘it’s not something –I- would ever do’ way, but overall he thought it was a fine idea. A nice way to help the less-known become more well known. Very nice, especially with the ability to do events and classes.
”That sounds very interesting,” the Marshdweller complimented the other man quietly. ”How is your initial capital?” Not that the horse had a lot to spare yet, but he did have a special savings account that had been earmarked for growing his own business. It might be well worth it to back Aderlass’ venture, though, and use the return from that to someday expand his own tour guide business, especially since his wasn’t yet ready to spread out.

“Yes, a showroom of sorts is probably a better word for it. It would be a place that those who are know and also those who are not, as of yet, can show their works and interested customers can ask for the maker. A fine place for people to be seen and take off.”
He liked the idea a lot. While he himself did not have the necessary reputation to allow for many of his patrons to get the necessary onlookers that they needed, it would be more then they none. Well that was until his second plan came into action.
Though with the horse’s second question was a little more interesting. His capital, huh? He had enough saved up for at least half of the building. He chuckled at the idea of the building having a white line down the middle showing what he had paid for and what he had not.
“My initial capital is well enough, though it is not as much as I would desire.”

The stallion’s ears flicked up curiously at those words then one tilted sideways as he thought about it. It really did sound like a good investment and the red Morganberry mouse was filled with a spunk that seemed to guarantee him success in any endeavour he truly threw himself into. The passion the man saw so far in the mouse’s eyes was very encouraging.
”I think I could see my way into helping out on that,” the stallion said lightly. ”I have some funds set aside for such an investment, but I’ve been looking for something worthwhile to put it into. You sound as though you may have just the venture to put it into.”
His tail tapped against his hocks thoughtfully as he waited for the mouse’s response. This was a fairly big financial decision he was making, but he still felt very secure about it. Rather unusual for him to be this certain in a new venture, but he highly doubted this mouse would let him down.

Surprised at the horse’s generous offer he stared at him for a few moments. What Whip offered was an answer to all his needs; he was just a little worried about what this would mean – especially in the way of debts. Considering his options he weighed his choices. If he took the offer he would be able to open his gallery-shop quicker and easier, and he could always pay the stallion back.
“It is very generous of you to offer such a huge offer. If you are sure this is the investment that you want to place it in, and I would be honored, then I will make sure that it does not go to waste.”
He could not believe that his dreams might be so close at hand.
“Will this also be able help you in your adventures?” he asked, trying to bring himself and the horse back onto the discussion that they had been on earlier.
