"Well, this would be based almost entirely on how much you want it to succeed," the stallion said with an easy grin. "And you seem to want this very much, so I feel pretty confident in backing this venture." And gave him another tie to the ambitious Morganberry. He was almost completely certain that this was a good plan.
A grin broke out at the other man's question. "Actually, I think this will serve my plans very well indeed," he said nonchalantly. The mouse seemed ready to succeed just as soon as he had a good venture in which to try and the equine Marshdweller was more than happy to present that opportunity especially if it meant a good addition to his own income eventually. With the money just sitting static in the bank for now, it could certainly be considered a loss. All he needed to do was get the paperwork prepared; for the amount of capital the stallion was offering, they'd have to have it.

Taking a deep drink from his tankard he thought over the possibilities that the equine had just provided him. It was true that he had been looking around in hopes of finding the perfect place to set up his gallery-shop in. The place itself seemed to have eluded him up to now but he was sure that the place was going to be found. Maybe he would go out again and look. Yes, that sounded like a very good plan.
Bringing his attention back to his new business partner, he gave Whip a thoughtful look over. He wondered just what it was that Whip had planned for his future. The mouse could not imagine the horse being content with simply staying this rank forever, so he was sure that the horse was plotting something underneath.
“You know, I do not think I ever learned wot it is that you do with your free time. Surely you have a job.”

The stallion gave a brief, Gallic sort of smile towards the mouse. "Surely I do," he agreed lightly. "Elsewise I would be unable to back your endeavour so easily." But the green Marshdweller wasn't certain he wanted to lay all of his cards out on the table, so to speak. Not that his past, a lifetime of working and running a tour guide business, was something he was ashamed of; truth be told, he was more than a little proud of wot he'd done with his life.
Together with Elias, the small home-run business was quick to become not only successful but really rather profitable. And their unique style of business allowed them the needed time and effort to strike back at the *@$* Lowlanders whenever the disgusting dared to stick their noses into the Josiggy Marsh where they were most certainly not welcome. Still, now was not yet the time to boast his credentials. Back to teasing then.
"But I would hardly call my work the use of my free time," he sent the mouse a swift grin. "Is that how you reference yours? You spend your free time at your job doing...?" he left it as a leading question.

“Running errands doing this and that.” He replied kind of dismissively. He was –not- to be mistaken for a lackey, he had made darn well sure that he was not one. Rather his position as Mnem’s partner allowed him to have an excuse to visit places he normal would not find himself being at. In return for running a few errands from the canine he was able to acquire jewels as well as a small paycheck.
Though considering from what little he had gathered from the equine he thought, for some odd reason, that he would not be completely pleased if he learned what it was he did for a living. Not that it would matter much longer considering that he was going to be able to open his shop soon. Once that happened, him and Mnem would continue on as merely friends. He was not going to completely give up connections that might do him useful later on.

The mouse's response surprised a bit of a laugh out of the stallion. "That doesn't seem like you at all." The horse suddenly realized his mug was empty. He signalled refills for them both and turned his curious gaze back at the smaller man. The red mouse was an enigma, even in that response, but Aderlass also seemed unwilling to really expound on the topic and the Marshdweller didn't want to push the Avington; not when he had his own secrets to keep.
The two did have one common thread of thought, however; don't cut ties needlessly. Anyone either of them met could eventually be used down the road for a better purpose.
The stallion was silent for a few minutes as he thought about his interaction with the mouse thus far. They didn't really spend a great deal of time together, but there seemed to be some sort of connection between the two of them that neither could deny. Rai could only assume Aderlass felt the same.

The mouse shrugged at the horse’s comment. “Sorry you think that?” he replied, giving a mischievous grin. There were some things that were better left unknown.
Accepting the refill, he raised the mug to take a sip. Eyeing the equine in front of him, he unknowingly did follow the horse’s thoughts about their relationship or lack there of. They had met under the oddest of situations, Aderlass stumbling over the nearly unconscious body, and the excitement thereafter. Ever since then it had been an array of arbitrary meetings, including this on here.
While he was pretty much willing to help anyone out who was in some kind of need, especially if there were a Club, there was something to this Heart that there was of a connection. Maybe they had something in common with their past, per chance? It would definitely be interesting to see where their friendship, (was that even the right word for their relationship?), went.

The stallion gave another low laugh at Aderlass' smart mouth response; the two of them really did seem to fit rather well together. Well, that was just fine. The stallion's ears twisted as a woman came in, her laughter familiar in an uncomfortable sort of way. After a long moment, however, he relaxed again as a it became evident it was no one he knew. Curse that stupid Mnem and his lost memories. If only he could remember.... But there really wasn't much point in pursuing that road just then; Mnem wasn't here and, even if she was, it was unlikely she'd tell him anything other than a pack of lies. That seemed to be her nature.
"Well, Aderlass," the equine said abruptly, ready to pursue a different sort of business for awhile. "If you were a Queen, wot would your first order of business be?"

The fact that he had to think of an answer and still came up with nothing for an answer should probably have clued him to the fact that he was a little more drunk than it would have physically appeared. Pulling up the first thing that came to mind he replied, “I . . . think I would grow a garden.” His tone was one that showed he was probably just as serious as he was joking. The Court could probably use some nice flowers to make it a little more cheery. Especially with that King Anoushka there, he gave a slight shiver. That fox could cause anyone to shiver in dread.
Taking another sip from his mug he once again he eyed Whip. “Out of pure curiosity, my Friend, wot is it that you would first, you do when you rank Queen? He was interested to see what the horse had to say on his own Court.

Rai grinned at the other man with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "A garden, huh? I look forward to seeing if you stick to that, my friend," he replied easily, wondering if that little 'slip' was telling of how much he had drunk. "Though mayhaps that'd be a good answer for me as well. Though, I have heard that the Court of Hearts have a lot of gorgeous gardens already; it may be useless for me to make such a goal."
He tilted his head, finally just sipping the beer since he was beginning to feel the alcohol. The room was spinning slightly and the stallion was determined to ignore it. He suddenly fell serious, "It depends on the political atmosphere. I have a... personal agenda to pursue, but it's not something easily accepted by others. So my real plan begins when I'm still a King."
