Unfortunately, their eldest and youngest brothers weren't to be dissuaded so simply. After another moment more of glaring, Se headed after the twins. His strides, however, were long, and it wasn't long before he had not only caught up, but passed the older pair. His wings hovered protectively over his back, and the boy didn't speak a word to the others.
It was a long journey to the Lowlands, though perhaps that was mostly due to the fact that the four kids weren't always on the best of terms. But they did, finally, arrive. Se looked upon the land with a curled lip and obvious disgust. It was no wonder their father hated this place so much; it was hideous and rather obviously not worthwhile in the least.
He did not, however, understand Rai's desire to conquer this land or wotever the snot it was the man wanted to do. The Cards here were riddled with their own filth. They might as well simply remain here and die off as was obviously normal.

Ira had trotted along behind his youngest brother, nearly silent for a very long time. One might assume that he was contemplating their fight or his next move or wot have you, until he began to hum a merry tune under his breath and, for all appearances and uses, seemed to have nary a care in the world.
The teal colt had noticed the swift descent of the land into a murky pile of rot, but it did not affect his humming at all. His tail flicked cheerily, his head still up and ears wiggling around in vast amusement and what just might be described as joy and happiness. Perhaps these weren't the most logical reactions for an obvious Josiggy Marshdweller trotting into the Lowlands, but it would be difficult for anyone to describe Ira as 'logical'. He did not appear concerned or afraid of being in the Lowlands.

When Se and Ira had made their way ahead of them she gave a snort. "Show offs" she muttered under her breath at no on in particular. Holding her head high she acted as if it did not bother her that her male brothers now led the way.
After a short walk Venka became fed up with walking. Looking around she spotted her new target. "I do not know about you guys but I am going to hail down a coach" Since she had come up with the idea then of course she would expect Vishne to follow suit. As the coach that was heading their direction came closer she raised a hoof to hail it down. Getting inside she waited for only a small moment before telling the driver to move on.
As they made their way toward the Lowlands the scenery changed. For most of the journey they would be able to keep to the main path toward the Club Court but as they would get closer they would have to veer off the well beaten path.

Vishne had trotted along obediently behind his sister and tried not to talk to anyone while they were in the coach. His sense of impending doom had steadily grown as they got nearer and nearer the Lowlands, and as they veered off the well-trod path to the Court, he was about a hair's breadth away from vomiting in worry. Not that he would ever do that in front of his brothers and especially his twin if he could help it, though. He would never ever hear the end of it.
The Lowlands were even more terrifying than he had imagined. Everying in the distance looked bleak and dead and falling apart, and the very air seemed to carry the chill of death and decay. He shuddered. This was such a terrible idea. They were going to die and he was never going to be able to show his mom and dad what-for.
He inched closer to Venka. She would be able to handle anything that came their way and tried to destroy them.

Now that they were fully here, it seemed that only Se was unaffected by the disgusting-ness around them. Ira's ears cocked backwards nostrils flaring slightly despite himself. The people did not smell yummy here and he didn't like it. The Josiggy Marshdweller was also already attracting attention; sneers and dark looks were coming their way, but the kids were either not worth their time or they were afraid to do anything about him in the group.
The colt, at least seemed entirely unaware of the disdain of the region's residents and instead focused his attention on his youngest brother and the direction in which the winged hybrid was now leading them. He moved up to flank his brother and kept his easy-going, jovial expression on his face.
They seemed to be heading directly towards the little shanty town that lay just up the road from them.

Se completely ignored his siblings yet again, this time so he could make his way towards the town kind of thing he saw nearby. In light of the distance they had just travelled, it really wasn't that far, but for tired children it could seem like miles. It still did not seem to bother the Yarrow/Josiggy in the least and his paws and hooves moved at a swift pace down the muddy path that-- supposedly-- symbolized a real road.
He slipped into town to discover that the town's villagers were quickly diving out of sight into their little house-things. His ears flattened and he eyed around him until he found a scruffy rat-looking. . . thing to talk to.
"Hey," he said rudely. "Where's your weaponsmith?"
The thing cowered at being addressed, cringing down towards the ground in what might have been a bow except that it looked more as though it were eating dirt.

Stepping into the Lowlands caused Venka to sneer with distaste. This place made their apartment building look like a grand Court palace. The land, buildings, and people were dripping with decay and distaste.
Maybe coming here was not such a good idea. Though now was seriously too late to worry about that. Seeing that Se was heading off she was quick to keep up. Worse thing they would want right now would be for the three . . . wait there was four of them - to be separated. Walking through the village-like place she kept her eyes forward ignoring the looks of the villagers who peeked out at them from their houses.
Weapons?
"Should we not be looking for somewhere we can eat and sleep?" She was tired and the last thing she wanted to look for was weapons. They were well defended as it was at the moment, having a small dagger in their packs.

Vishne watched the rat stutter and pick at the ground as it attempted to speak to them. Vishne knew how it felt, and something like pity bubbled to the surface of his deep well of disgust and fear. He did not feel sorry enough for it to actually speak up himself, however.
"There are--there are m-many places to go for weapons," he said at length and quite vaguely, and Vishne imagined this to be true. People needed weapons if they were going to have an endless feud with another realm. Vishne stared at him and waited for him to continue--the rat did not seem to be forthcoming with the specifics, and one look at Ira told him why. A party with a Marshdweller buying weapons probably didn't look very good.
Vishne nodded meaningfully at Se. If the rat didn't get his arse in gear, there was a good chance that said arse was going to recieve a very thorough kicking.
The rat seemed to get it. "I would go to Pitrotter's," he said uncertainly. "It's only half a mile away, and the selection is very good. Well-crafted."

Ira flipped his tail from one side to the next in a great deal of amusement now that he was slowly beginning to adjust to the scent and the fact that the rat creature appeared to be in deathly fear of him. That, at least, made the world a slightly better place. The colt turned to regard the rat flatly. "Which direction exactly would this Pitrotter's be located in?" the teal Marshdweller asked with a pointed glance.
If the name affected him at all, he didn't show it. The rat extended a frightened finger off to the northeast and the young horse sent him a thanking smile that just seemed to frighten the beast even further.
"Of course," Ira continued thoughtfully. "If we discover you've lied to us, we will return." The smile turned darker. "And I sincerely doubt you'll enjoy that particular visit." The Lowlander sunk deeper into the filth of the street.
