"You're very welcome, Asha! And not at all, dear."

Both males grinned in unison. Asha was such a sweet girl and Hatter found himself quite fond of her. Kaden, of course, liked her too...but surely he was thinking more with his stomach than anything else. The very mention of a fresh batch of muffins pulled a joyful chirp from Kaden and Hatter chuckled happily as well.


It was Kaden, as expected, that pushed them onward first. He wanted to taste Miss Asha's muffins! "Are we going now? Yeah? Lead the way, Miss Asha!"


Hatter merely shook his head, chuckling to himself. "Thank you for having us over, and for food on top of that. You're very kind, and I'm sure it'll be better than most things we can find in these bakeries." Even though she couldn't see his grin, Hatter's smile was as clear as day in his cheerful voice as he began to walk -- assuming Asha would follow or take the lead.

The kindness of the man and the boy was enough to bring a warm flush to the skunk's cheeks, and she bowed low to them both, her red mane flopping over her face. The boy's eagerness to taste her baking filled her with a profound sense of pleasure that she couldn't put a name to - just the feeling that someone would be excited about something that she, a lowly Ace, could create. She felt the sudden desire to get to work and make the two men anything they could ask for, and she straightened a little.

"Y-yes, of course![/b]" she replied to Kaden, nodding eagerly as she thought about it. "I certainly hope I can live up to your expectations, sir. I'll do my best.[/b]" As she said it, she smiled, relaxing ever so slightly. Her fluffy tail even uncurled from around her, twitching behind her in a much more natural position.

When she began to lead them to her home, her pace would be fairly slow, but she moved steadily. She had to make the trip slower than she would normally, as she didn't much like the idea of tripping and embarassing herself in front of her two new... Friends? If she could dare call them that, and she deeply hoped that to be the case. Finally, they reached her home, and it was with great excitement on her part that she invited them in and settled in to bake. She'd make muffins, cookies, cakes, breads... Anything that they wanted and more, to bring home with them for later, was theirs.

After all, it was a small thing for the friendship they'd given her.
