Zuberi stood back and watched the two, grinning as she let them have their time together without her intrusion. Setting the drinks down, she even sat down and began to eat her fries. When Seth turned back to her she grinned, flicking some cheese that was on the corner of her lips back into her mouth. "Well, she travelled pretty far, you see. Found herself all the way in Midori when it was all said and done with. It was pretty easy to tell whose she was just by looking at her."
"I really enjoyed her company. I let her stay the night and we had a good ol' time. If we had a telegraph in the village I would have sent word.. but my village is a bit behind the times." She chuckled. "I'd love for her to come visit me again.. with permission, next time. I wouldn't want you to be so worried again."

Heilyn bit her bottom lip to keep if from quivering. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, she regained her composure. She would not break down in public... but she knew it was getting to her. Rhi was missing... and she couldn't help but feel it was her fault. Hadrian saw his mother's moment of her emotion nearly breaking out and whined. She picked him up as she sat on the edge of the fountain and held him close to her chest. "We'll find her, mommy!" he whispered encouragingly and licked her cheek. She nuzzled into his shoulder and nodded. She couldn't give up. This was her chance to show Rhi how much she truly loved her. The smell of food wafting over her made her empty stomach lurch uncomfortably. She was too sick with worry to be able to stomach food, but she hadn't eaten since early this morning. However, by the sound of his sniffing, she knew Hadrian was hungry. She looked up to find the food stands when she saw a blue mohawk stand over the crowd. Might as well meet up with him. "C'mon, babe, let's go meet Daddy," she said, dropping the child to the ground and ambling off in his direction. The Tove chirped and followed along. He was floating a little higher than usual. The normally attention-loving Tove had NEVER seen this huge of a crowd in his LIFE. Even city life in the Bog wasn't this... overwhelming... Heilyn didn't really have to watch where she was going as people tended to clear a path for her. She stared at the ground as she walked, lost in thought and guilt. When she looked up, she froze, unable to believe her eyes. It was Rhi. Hadrian was the first to act, bounding forward at full speed, yipping like crazy. "RHII!!!!" he squeeled as he skidded to a halt, nearly losing his balance from the speed at which his tail was moving. He knew he wasn't allowed to be too rough with his sister because of her wings, so he merely jumped up and down in place yipping and nipping at her ears. After a few seconds he gently tackled her, licking her foul-smelling face and letting out whines. Heilyn watched the entire thing unfold in front of her, unable to move. Rhiannon...

"That far... You must have been exhausted, huh?[/b]" he grinned down at his daughter, ruffling her mane, still oblivious to the strange expression that kept passing over her face. Seth was not a subtle man, and the more quiet actions of others had the tendancy to escape him completely, especially when he was as excited as he was now. The girl leapt up to the squirrel's side, eyes wide with hope that perhaps more fries would be coming her way. "Suits, Zuberi, I have no idea how to thank you enough... And I'm sure once Heilyn meets you, there won't be any problem with having her stay with you. Maybe Hadrian could tag along?[/b]" his voice was colored with hopefulness, and Rhiannon seemed to perk up, looking from squirrel to bat and back again. Go back?!
"HADY!" her attention was jerked out of her dreams and to her brother, and she whipped around to meet him. Limbs still weary from all of her walking in the last few days protested at the tackle, and she found herself rolling on the ground with her beloved brother, getting licks of her own in whenever she found an opening, finally rolling him onto his back and hovering over him, tongue lolling out of her mouth cheerfully. In her joy at seeing her brother, she didn't even look up at her mother...
"Lyn! Lyn, she's all right![/b]" Seth cried out, leaping up from where he was seated to embrace the stunned-looking woman, planting a large kiss of joy on her. As oblivious as he was to Rhiannon's strange expressions, Heilyn's were just as out of his grasp. "Come meet Zuberi, my old friend. She found Rhi![/b]"

She'd been about to open her mouth to answer him when a blur of brown and blue came shooting towards Riannon, and consequently towards the squirrel. Zuberi gave as much of a 'yipe' as a squirrel could, leaping out of the way of the two tussling youngsters. Not being able to help it, she laughed, attempting to appraise the second sibling as much as she could with him jumping around as much as he was. She was immediately inclined to think he looked much like his father if only because of the region he inherited. "Oh I wouldn't mind at all. I'm sure you and the misses would like time to yourselves without the youngin's running underfoot." And with how much energy they both seemed to have, she couldn't blame him.
A most foreboding feeling caused her to look up, and there stood a most imposing woman. Frightening, even. If the woman had been angry Zuberi was sure that she would not be able to keep her head about her. Rhi had idly mentioned something about her new rank being a very good thing, especially around her mother. Perhaps this... feeling she was getting around the woman would have been much worse had she still been a five? "Here you go, guys. Rhi, be sure to share with your brother." Zuberi said before setting her fries down next to the two fruit drinks. She'd probably allow the other sibling to have hers if he wanted it. Smoothing her dress out as she stood, she took a step toward the flabbergasted bog human. Normally she was good at picking up subtle expressions, but Heilyn's was quite unreadable. Well, then again maybe Zuberi wasn't all too good at reading human faces either. Stepping forward, she extended her hand, feeling as that might be the appropriate thing to do. "I've been anticipating meeting you, m-m'am." She wasn't quite able to keep a smooth voice, and she took another breath to calm her nerve. "She's absolutely fine, I'll assure you. I even think she had a good time throughout it all.. er.. not that I waited long before I brought her back.. I was sure to bring her to you first thing this morning.... " She was stumbling over herself, so she smartly shut her mouth, hoping she hadn't happened to shove her foot in there while she'd been flapping it about so glibly.

Not realizing how tired she was from her travels, the second the fries went down, the boy shoved his sister off and descended like a... starving canine on the poor, unsuspecting fries. Stopping before he ate the last half of a fry, he bashfully looked back at Rhiannon.
"Uh, I saved you some..."
The site of her daughter, safe and happy, left her speechless. It took her a few seconds to realize that she was being hugged and quite firmly kissed. As his lips pulled away from hers, she half-heartedly puckered her lips to weakly meet his retreating ones. Then a bipedal squirrel approached. Heilyn felt lost. She saw and heard everything, but none of it seemed to register. She almost felt out of body.
Her body shook itself and she took an audible breath as reality caught up to her. Rhi. Friend. Seth.
Right.
....Zuberi...
Where had she heard that name? Regardless, she would never forget it now. The woman spoke and held out a hand to her. Heilyn only looked up and paused, staring at the hand put before her. Expression remaining hard to read, she looked up at Zuberi, her hands coming up slowly. When they were just above chest height stepped in very suddenly, completely ignoring the extended hand to hug the woman.
"Thank you," was all she was able to get out in a whisper.

Oh my GOD SHE'S GOING FOR THE JUGULAR VEIN! You're gonna DIE Zuberi, you're gonna DIEE.... oh... She made a soft meep as the woman hugged her, her one hand still extended dumbly ahead. She wasn't going to die? How Looovely ~ <333
Stupidly happy that the woman wasn't going to rip out her throat, Zuberi churred and brought both hands together to actually hug back. "Y-you're welcome!" Her voice came out as a squeak despite herself, but she was genuine when her webbed hand pat the woman on the back to comfort her. It was obvious that she was emotional, and Zuberi couldn't help but suspect that emotion was something this woman dished out sparingly. "She's -fine... just fine.." Damnit, she was getting choked up too! Maybe that's where Rhi inherited it from. "She's so afraid you'll be cross with her... Like any child who's done something their parents might disagree with. She needs her mother now though... more than ever now." She whispered it so that only Heilyn could hear, her voice rough as emphatic tears stung her eyes. Zuberi squeezed back as her own emotions swept her up a bit, but with the power that this woman emanated she knew that there was little, if nothing in her power that could do harm to her.

Rhiannon growled at her brother, eyes flashing as she glanced from the meager shrimp of a fry that was left, but pounced on it nonetheless, licking up all the cheese that was left in the tray. She brought her gaze up to him once she'd finished, narrowing her eyes before pouncing, flapping her wings to give her just a little more momentum. The collision seemed inevitable.
~~~
Seth watched Heilyn, a somewhat stunned expression on his face. While he'd been with her she'd put up such a strong front, but all he could see now was weakness. He watched the two women interact, realizing that Heilyn's aura was likely affecting his friend quite a bit.
He blinked.
The pieces slid together in his head, rusty gears creaking to life. Could Rhiannon's hostility towards her mother be linked to that same aura...? No, no... The girl was just a teenager, doing what teenagers did best. Suits knew that he had been a wild one in his youth... He chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "I would give you a proper introduction, but... Doesn't look like it'll be necessary.[/b]" he glanced over at his children. "But... You need to meet Hadrian, my son.[/b]" the bat seemed to puff up with pride at those words.
His eyes widened as he pouted at the look Rhiannon gave him, then she pounced! "NRR?!" The coyote made an odd noise as she collided into him. He wasn't sure if she was really mad of if she was just playing. He made extremely odd sounds between a playful and apologetic tone. As he was fending her off, he noticed another empty white paper tray. Then he growled and rolled her over using his larger weight as an advantage.
"You already had some!" he growled back.
She nodded against Zuberi's shoulder. She wanted more then anything to hold her child. She knew her fear ability had something to do with the girl's animosity, but hadn't she been toning it down enough? She patted Zuberi's shoulder, pulled away, and gave a faint smile. She walked over to her children and picked Hadrian off Rhi.
"That's enough, Hadrian, go to your father," she said and put him down. She knew that in her current mental state she wouldn't be able to tone her magic down properly, so she simply shifted into her bipedal. "Rhi..." there was obvious concern and worry on her face, her arms extended to the girl.
Hadrian looked back at the two and looked between them and Seth, tail wagging loftily.
"But Hadyyyyy~" Rhiannon whined, pawing at her brother's face urgently. She wasn't used to being the one who was rolled... Hadrian's Solandrian build was starting to get the best of her own lithe one. She squirmed beneath him, struggling to get him off. This was embarassing! She was the dominant one! "I had to travel all the way here from Midori! I was so hungry!"
When his weight was removed from her, Rhiannon didn't have to think twice before flipping onto her feet once more. She glared up at Hadrian, but froze when her sight went past her fluffy brother and fell onto the sight of... Her mother. The girl's head dropped, but her hackles raised ever-so-slightly. "M-mom," she returned warily, not making a single move towards her mother's outstretched arms. Was she in trouble?
___
Seth beamed at his son, scooping the boy up into muscular arms and mussing up the fluffy hair on his head. He realized that he wouldn't be able to do this for much longer... Hadrian was growing fast, and bulking up quite a bit. "Hady, remember that freaking awesome dragonfly?[/b]" he asked the boy, setting him down again and grinning at both him and the squirrel. "Well, Zuberi's the one who made it, so that means she is also freaking awesome.[/b]" he beamed.
Zuberi managed a smile, but the situation between Rhiannon and her mother made her tense. Sure, Heilyn was an intimidating creature, but she couldn't help but feel she was... slightly in the right in that situation. Her own mother would have killed her for running off, but Heilyn was bearing her soul and only meeting resistance. But.. could Zuberi really judge? She'd only seen a small facet of the family dynamic, and there was so much she didn't know. One can act one way in certain situations, but who knew what their family life was like before the bog mother became worried for her daughter's life.
She stayed back with Seth and Hadrian, glancing at Rhiannon and giving an encouraging smile and a nod to Rhiannon. It was safe, and her mother needed the comfort... they needed to heal the rift that was forming between them. Zuberi would never want to pry that rift open even further.
