His question almost caught him off guard but he was a professional at what he did and he knew a perfect lie to try and win her trust. “I actually walk through here on my way home from work from time to time. I wouldn’t want to be caught off guard by not knowing the layout of the city and being stranded some day with no clue how to get home, so I occasionally wander a bit when I head home.” He still kept his charm and his pose for the female to follow him.
The night was getting darker and he looked to the sky briefly before looking back at the female and smiled again. “Miss, I honestly get the feeling you don’t trust me…what reason have I given you to not trust me? The night isn’t getting any younger and it will only get worse around here if we delay any more, Please dear lady allow me to show you the way to your inn.” He reached out his hand in a gentile manner and hoped that she would take the bait and agree to go with him.
