Baaaack from Canada. We drove straight down from Nova Scotia to Maryland. Holy hell. Car. o__o Never want to see again, at least for a few days.

It was a lovely visit and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

But guh. xD Mom kind of... left her purse in a Wendy's bathroom in Maine and only realized it when we stopped for Starbucks and gas. Two hours later. So we got to add an additional 4+ hours to the already incredibly long drive. But on the bright side, everything inside was untouched, restoring a bit of faith in the decency of humanity. Especially since she had a shit-ton of vacation cash in there, enough to nearly put her in tears when she realized the purse wasn't in the car.

Left the relatives' house on Friday at about 6:50AM local time, or 5:50AM Eastern. Got to our house at roughly 6AM on Saturday. Pretty much twenty-four hours in a car. I've never done that one before. ;

Holly crap. I've never spent -that- long in a car. The 12-15 hours I've done is bad enough. GAH.

Glad it was fun though, and welcome back! And good your Mom didn't lose anything.
