[OOC: Finally getting off my ass and working with these characters XD;. If anyone is interested...poke me XD;. Also...this post might be a little uncomfortible for some readers...but nothing sexual or violent should happen. They are just whores XD;.] The world had become dangerous in recent years for the people of his gang. There had been disappearences. Even deaths. People who had been in the gang had grown anxious and paranoid, and decided to leave. The gang was breaking up...to the point where the gang didn't look like much of a gang at all. There were few around to keep the peace. The gang was in dire need of a more protected establishment. Or at the very least, they needed some Bandersnatches. Something. The rise in danger had taken it's toll on Roxanne's nerves, you would have had to be blind and deaf not to be able to tell. Finally she had to take drastic measures. Those who were in the gang could not leave the general area of their current establishment, a broken down old buisness building from when the Red District had been a nicer place many many years ago. Those that had homes outside the workplace would have to have someone pick them up...or take a carriage out of the area. It was just...a mess. Eros was not happy with the current situation. Not that there was really anything that made him happy in the first place. He wasn't bringing in the kind of cash that he was normally. No one was. After all...the news of danger had spread to some of their more reliable clients. The gang wouldn't live off the money they were making for long. His life depended on the gang staying together. Eros didn't care about very much, but the one thing he did care about was his own survival. He didn't want to have to find a different pimp. Roxanne was a name...and she knew things that normal pimps didn't. He respected her a great deal. His tail flicked in an agitated manner, as he waited underneath a busted lamppost, the light flickering from the weak flame. He knew he wouldn't bed anyone tonight, just like the night before. Clients were few and far between now a days. He licked a paw absently, wiping his face with it and grooming a few fly away hairs down. He sighed, and pondered about the things troubling him, his face blank and expressionless.

Eros wasn't entirely alone, another Kahmdener was wandering the streets of the red light district with a slightly different plan. She'd been working a variety of odd jobs as of late and had quickly come to realize none of her skills could be really put to good use .... except for getting out of trouble. Canines did have quite the knack for looking terribly cute when need be and Alona was certainly not an exception to the rule. In short she was looking for some kind of work where her perpetually chipper nature and well, adorableness could actually help instead of hinder. She had been told to do something that she was good at, after all, and shed just so happened to have overheard a mention of Roxanne in a conversation in one of the bars she visited.... which one that was exactly she couldn't quite recall. Problem was .... how was she supposed to find the Highlander? Her answer ... good, old fashioned searching. And that's when she spotted the feline in the failing lamplight and he certainly stood out from some of the others of his profession that she'd run across in the past. He was well groomed and rather healthy looking ... good signs really. Visitors didn't simply sit on corners, did they? No, she didn't think so, so he'd be where her search began. She lifted up a paw and quickly ran it over her short mane to at least put it back into some kind of order. She was, after all, a bit of a scruffy mutt naturally. Her lineage was painted with a mind boggling amount of canine breeds, mostly domestic, and her appearance didn't really settle on one type or another in the end. She was lithe, medium sized canine with unruly fur, a thin tail and upright ears but it all combined into something rather adorable when combined with that mane of hers. Her approach was friendly and casual, wiry tail waving back and forth behind her. She wanted to just rush right up to him and bombard him with a million questions but she restrained herself .... first impressions were, after all, a once in a lifetime thing thus she stopped a few feet from him with perked ears and a look of intrigue. My, he was certainly more impressive close up... wasn't he? Evenin'! She cocked her head to the side, light blue tresses falling over her face and that whip like tail moving a bit faster.... she really couldn't think of anything to say except that ... for now. How did one go about this without offending someone?

Eros' tail continued to flick from one side to the other, annoyed and fairly close to calling it a night and forgetting about taking on a non-exsistent client. His nostrils flared ever to slightly, his eyes remaining half-lidded and uninterested. Eros was statuesque to be sure, and while male he tended to have a rather feminine body structure, which he used to his advantage in gaining clients. If he could even feel pride, he might have felt it about the way he kept himself so immaculate, and how expressionless he always seemed to be. There was always one thing though, be it tail, ear, nose, etc that would betray his inner emotions. What little there were...
A few moments past, and a red body made itself visible in the distance. His tail slowed from agitated to intregued, and his ears perked forward. He still looked horribly unamused however, and was only more so as the figure came closer to the light, revealing another Kahmdenian...female and canine. He exhaled slowly, his version of a sigh. The way she greeted him, reminded him horribly of that canine Anatolius. So chipper. It must be a canine thing...though he had never seen Julius act in such a way, on the other hand...he was a much older man then Anatolius or the female in front of him.
"I don't service women." he said blandly, blank and half-lidded eyes only excentuating the almost eeriely lifeless way he interacted with the world. Eros very rarely actually greeted anyone. What was the point? Formalities in certain situations were required, but when they weren't he wasn't bothered. It was not that he wished to be rude, or that rudeness even seemed to come across the way he spoke and interacted. It was as if it was buisness as usual more then anything else. After all, he was assuming that was what she was looking for.
He would have left it at that normally...but desperate times were upon them...and they needed all the clients they could get. The feline flicked his head quickly, looking to the right, so that his face was completely in profile, before returning his lavender gaze back upon the canine. He looked at her chest, a black 7 of Clubs very much visible, and he made a small and unlively noise. "I can take you to a bird who might be more better suited for the job...that is if you don't mind females." his words sounded almost rehersed, but they weren't. Mehen didn't normally pleasure those who weren't red suits...or at the very least an 8, so it would be a stretch...but the bird might take her out of need for cash. Sometimes you had to sacrifice your standards. Not that Eros ever would. He would never bed a woman. They were putrid creatures, and he generally didn't get along with them. The only acception of course...being Roxanne.

Her tail continued to wave cheerfully from side to side until it paused briefly at his 'greeting'. Well ... that most certainly wasn't what she was expecting! He could, at the very least, been a bit more kind about his announcement but she wasn't here to judge ... she was here to investigate.
His offer, however, brought that tail of hers back to life and those velvet lined triangles atop her head perked up a bit more. She wasn't exactly looking for ... services, but meeting more then one of them would give her a better idea on how they were treated, yes? Well, might as well accept, at the very least she might get a few answers to her questions.
Alright, take me to her.
Although the words could be taken as an order, the tone of her voice would entirely dismiss that, it was just as bright as her coat and just a touch soft as well and that tail of hers picked up the pace a bit as well.

Eros cocked his head for a split second, and in another quick and stereotypically feline movement he was up and walking. Her words may have sounded like an order indeed, but it wouldn't do much to Eros except give him a bit of mild (almost non-exsistant) annoyance if anything. After all, you didn't take on the buisness with a need to be obeyed and satisfied. Eros was constantly taking orders, or at least at one point he had been. He was like a waiter for sex. 'I'd like a blow job please, and make it snappy.' It was just the way of the world for him. His way of surviving his meager and useless exsistance. Not that Eros was really...nessesarily depressed about the way he thought about his life. It was a weird sort of detachment. Without religion, a lover, kids, etc, he just thought of life as surviving yet another day. A bitter way to look at things at best...but...definately the way a few chose to think. They didn't have a far way to walk. Roxanne had asked all remaining members of the gang to stay within close range of headquarters, so it was only about a block or so before a rather striking looking Raven was visible. She was preening her fiery feathers, a classic Morganberry coloration, but as Eros approached she snapped her head up to view him and his companion. The edges of her beak curled upwards, and her eyes slanted slightly, "I didn't know you serviced women now Eros..." she cooed at him, her eyes flickering like a real flame...a strange and eerie thing. Didn't help that her snake like tongue flicked out a little as she spoke. A raven with a snake tongue and fire eyes...that was certainly strange. The feline simply looked at her, "You know I don't. Will you take her?"They both turned to look at the canine that had been following him. The raven simply cocked her head, making a small sound. She wasn't really her type. She, unlike most of the whores, could have her pick and standards...thanks to that bright red 10 of hearts on her chest. But she was facing the same dilema that all the whores were. She couldn't really be picky anymore, she sighed a little bit, but finally smiled, walking past the feline and up to the canine with a coy smile. "If you think you can afford me, I'm all yours. I'm afraid my prices are a bit steep." she fluffed up her wings a bit. Her words were kind and silky, despite how weird the phrasing might have been. "My name is Mehen...what's your's, sugar?" she chuckled a velvety and feminine laugh.

Her tail was held in a neutral position and the wiry appendage swayed back and forth ever so slightly as she moved next to her similarly colored acquaintance. Her ears, however, swiveled about and kept a constant vigil on the surroundings until the crow was in her sights. As soon as she acknowledged Eros those velvet lined triangles locked in on her and was soon followed by those crystal hued orbs.
It probably should have felt strange, and a little awful, to be pawned off on someone else but ... it didn't really bother her at all. Instead her tail came up a bit and started to sway a bit faster as her natural cheerfulness was aloud to drift into her form once more. She waited until she was addressed to speak up, she needed a moment to think anyhow, but she wanted to do this ... and she might as well just speak up now.
Well, I'm not entirely certain I've exactly enough to cover it fully but I do have something else you might be interested in... on some level.
Her tail picked up a bit more speed and she cocked her head to the side giving the crow one of those infamous puppy dog looks before continuing on.
I want to join all of you .... I want to help out. Oh! and .... I'm Alona.
Well now she just felt silly ... forgettign to give her name like that ....

Both Eros and Mehen raised their eyebrows at the first statement, the only difference in facial expressions being that Eros had a rather blank one while Mehen looked very very amused. That was surely assuming a great deal! What else could Mehen possibly be interested in? She lived for this job and the money it provided her, what else could possibly interest her right now? When the answer came, she smiled, and her incredulous look eased into a nice appreciative nod. With such hard times, it was hard to imagine anyone would want to come into the field right now. Any help was appreciated.
While her questions would seem that she was speculative, her voice was coy...as if she was playing with the canine, seducing her with unspoken promises to take her where she wanted to go, "Oh? What makes you so sure that we need your help, Alona?" her laughter flickered like a quiet flame as she stepped closer to the hound, holding the mixes face in a wing as it scooped it up amoung it's flight feathers. She cocked her head, her eyes laughing happily as she smiled. "What makes you think you have the skills to join us?"
Eros' eyes were half lidded and his lips pressed together tightly. He wasn't getting the same amount of amusement out of this as the crow was evidently. "Just take her to Roxanne. I think she will be the judge of those things." he said his tail swishing with obvious annoyance that his face didn't seem to show off. Mehen looked up at him and winked, "You really are a sourpuss...."

The pair's nearly mirror image expressions would have been comical had they not been something that might have knocked her confidence level down a peg or two. however, the only hint to that that she would give would be the turning of her ears to the side and the slowing, but not stopping, of her thin tail. Her voice didn't waver and the reaction she got from her offer, well, it perked right back up again. A smile was a good thing, right?
The tone of the crow's voice coaxed her ears even further forward, her expression the definition of canine intrigue. Well, this was certainly interesting, wasn't it?
It;s not that I think you need my help ... but .... the gang's reputation precedes you.
She aloud her face to be held and gave the crow a semi goofy smile, she rather liked attention, then again ... most canines did.
Well ... I think I do but ...
The rest of her sentence was cut of by the feline, but it got her tail going at a good pace, that was all the conformation she needed that they were... just who she thought they were. Or, rather, connected to who she thought they were.

Mehen continued to hold the female's head in her long flight feathers, her smile unfailing as she listened to the canine's words, and ignoring the increasingly more annoyed look on Eros' face. She knew he wanted her to take her straight away to Roxanne...but she was having her bit of fun for the night. It had been realitively boring until Eros came around with Alona, and it would go back to being that if she ran her up now.
Besides she was a cute little thing, her little ratty tail wagging in such delight, especially when Roxanne was mentioned. So she did want to meet the mistress? "Hmm...well then. How about this? You pay me what you got...and I can tell you if you got what it takes. If you do...I'll take you to who you desire to go to. If you don't, well...I won't hesitate to tell you, and Eros can show you the way out." her voice continued to be coy and playful with the female in front of her. It really was a winning situation for her no matter what the outcome. The gang still got some money...and she wouldn't be bored anymore. Not to mention, if the female really did have what it took, she could start another little bit of cash flow for the gang. She wondered what the female would do faced with this challange.
Eros really did look sour then. Why all these games? Why was it always games with Mehen? Couldn't she just get a job done, she would be wasting valuble time on someone who wouldn't even be able to afford her? Though he did see what Mehen had up her sleave, it still bothered him. "If you excuse me. I have a job to do." he said bowing his head curtly before leaving the canine with the crow.
Mehen watched him leave before turning back to the canine, "Eros is a bitter man...you'll have to deal with it if you join us. So?"

That sounds like a plan, Mehen. A rather fun one if I might add.
And that little ratty tail of hers would continue with it's cheerful side to side motions as she kept her gaze upon the avian's face, a rather ... mischievous little smirk crossing her muzzle. It was a win, win situation for her as well ... she could always get cash again, one way or another ... and this way if she was accepted well .... she'd get a little and a job to boot. And if she didn't? Well, she still get her fun, and with a high class lady as well. Nothing better then that, right?
Crystal hued orbs drifted briefly over to the exiting form of the feline before moving back to rather fetching looking women, a light, bubbly laugh escaping her maw.
I've met worse .... he strikes me as the type that somewhere, under all that sour, has a sweet little kitten buried there.
