"Thank you, Dania," the cat replied softly, ear back and eyes a little wet, though she didn't cry. It wasn't in her, and she knew she needed to move on. As cathartic as it had been to visit Torquehelm, and as much as she felt connected to the place, it was not her home. She didn't belong here. She fully intended to visit again someday, though. If nothing else because she'd made a good friend even in this short amount of time.
"Thank you again for opening your home to me. I...I hope we do meet again." With a grim smile, Eldy shouldered her bag, the journal tucked safely within it, and with a flick of her tail, was out the door. Already, she could feel the heavy gloom settling on her again like a cold mist as she lost sight of the little bookstore. At least, she reflected before the depression set on her too heavily, she would make sure to write to her new friend. She'd probably appreciate that...
