Ah yes, a new potential Queen. There weren’t very many of them applying for the Court, and this man looked to be an interesting sort, especially with such odd mutations. At least, she assumed that they had to be mutations. Perhaps he was part Tulgey instead? It would have been far more interesting if he hadn’t been a damned avian, but beggars couldn’t be choosers, and most Courts were beggars just then.
He had a cheerful attitude. Either it would start to calm her down after a little while or it would make her want to slam his head into a door. Hopefully she would do neither. Tension and a lack of violence would both be useful in evaluating a potential applicant, though the end decision would of course be her Queen’s.
His answers were idealistic and naïve, which made her want to roll her eyes. She refrained, but only because something in his words reminded her of her own ambitions as a younger wolf. They weren’t precisely the same, but elements of them matched, and it only made her more aware of the changes that time had wrought on her mindset. And body. Damned aches and pains.
”Vould you expand on how exactly the Court of Hearts prompted you to apply for a position vithin your own suit?” she asked archly.

He sat back in the chair that he sat in. He didn't like to remember those days long needed to be forgotten. He rose a hand and rested it on his temples remembering the days event as if it had happend not to long ago.
He looked up to the two that were in the office. It was only fair that he would tell the tale if he had already brought up the subject. He hoped that this wouldn't ruin his chances of getting the slot.
He looked up to the two and started in on it from the start.
"Well, I had a package to deliver to the court, I didn't know what it contained but knew that it was ment for one of the queens that resided their. So I came to the front gate, asking to come inside. Though I was meet by Her Highness Dre, who helped me along the way to the proper place to take the package." he said as he seemed to look a bit out their. These where those days that he was most niave about the world, and expecialy the courts. Though he wouldn't tell that part of it. "So I happend to nearly lose my neck trice in one day, due to deranged cards and bad grammer on my part. For I entered the court without the proper knowlage. They were on to me like a fish is to water." He said with a bit of a smile remembering the lunch that he had had. It was some good trout.... he snapped back out of it and continued once more.
"So, from that point forward I told myself that I would attempt to make a better life for those around me, to both help and protect." he said... he didn't think that the story would help... but in his own heart he knew why he wanted to be here, and why he was taking this path.

Anoushka sat with a very even expression, touched lightly with a subconsciously hostility that she tried to tone down. It wasn't him. It was just the damn feathers that grew all over him. She listened to his story, ticking one of her claws against another on the same hand as it sat forgotten on her thigh, thinking.
"So you entered the Court of Hearts in the course of your normal duties and landed yourself in hot vater. This vas the result of the normal brand of viciousness that seems to surround the suit combined vith a social faux pas." She summarized what she'd gotten out of his story, watching him closely. Aderlass probably wouldn't mind. He didn't look to be in an especially talkative mood, if she could judge the set of his ugly little vermin ears by now. He would probably appreciate being spared some of the basic questioning.
"As a result of this experience, you... vhat. Vhat did you do. Gaining a new outlook on life is all vell and good, but vhat did that outlook spur you to do vith yourself? How did it encourage your interest in becoming a titled member of your own suit? Make the connection for me."
((Just gonna be you an' me for a little while, Naf. ^_^ Ku may drop in again, but she may not. The ultimate word will of course be Ader's.))

He nodded to her summery of the subject that he had talked about. It summed it up quite well, and yet he had to think about it for a second before he could answer. Why did he decide to do this, what did make him spur into this new direction of his life. These were good questions that he would have to answer for himself as well. For he hadn't thought about this before hand.
He cleared his throat as he moved the bag that he carried around his waist so he could lean a bit forward placing his elbows on his knees. "I would have to say, from this experience with my life going only up and seeing the Court of Hearts and how they managed their people made me think about how I liked to keep everything organised and tidy. That with my experience in my previous duties that I could help lead the Courts in a new direction with much practiced organization." he said clearing up her questions, though thinking back on it, he could pick out several more questions that could have been asked from that small bit.
For some reason he got a bad vibe from her, something about the Torque just made him question his questioner.

(( Still leaving this mostly to you two but Ader demanded this be posted XD;;;;; ))
The mouse was content to sit back and let his King take over on the questions. She had been doing this far longer then he would ever be, so listening to the answers while he silently judged the male.
It was as he answered her question on what had prompted him to desire a position within Club Court that he realized why the male's name had seemed naggingly familiar. He was that Sabe. Resting his chin upon his hand he used the position to hide the grin that was quickly spreading across his face. It did not take long, however, when his amusement became too much. Giving up on the attempt to hide his amusement he allowed himself to give into deep chuckles.
"So, you have met my daughter-in-law, have you?" He asked though it was more of a statement. "While I admit that the Heart Court is currently brimming with interesting people, most - if not all of them - I have a connections to." The statements were neither made condescendingly nor with too much amusement.
Oh yes, he had definitely been told about the adventures the male had had in the Heart Court. During one of their get togethers, which happened as frequently as either Queen could afford, Rai had been caught between outrage over the male's attitude and amusement over the whole situation.
It definitely added a new level to his view of the man, though how it influenced his opinion he had yet to determine.

"Saving the vorld through sorting," Anoushka commented with an amused snort, considering his answer more seriously behind her snarky exterior. She could appreciate a sudden spark of inspiration or purpose and the things that it drove people to do. She'd felt it herself on more than one occasion. Whether or not he would be able to hold on to his idealism in the sometimes unpleasant and disheartening political landscape was a more pressing concern, but that was the kind of thing that could only be guessed at. She'd need to watch him in action to get a feel for it.
Her Queen's amusement caused her canine ears to flick in his direction, her gaze following only a moment later. Heh. Yes, she wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the crazies that Sabe had mentioned was related in some way, shape, or form to Aderlass. At the very least, they were probably biologically related to the former Queen. So much insanity surrounding this family and its connections.
"Ve have a rather interesting connection vith the Court of Hearts at present, something betveen a social and political dance. Our Qveen has proved adept at diplomacy in unusual situations." A true enough statement, and only the mouse would get a chuckle out of it.
After a moment's thought, she nodded and looked straight at the heron. "In your previously mentioned line of vork, you must have come across qvite a few unusual personages and forged a professional netvork to keep your business afloat. Vith my Qveen's blessing, I have a task for you, to prove your vorth to this Court as a titled Qveen. I vant you to contact von of your connections that does not currently have a strong relationship vith our government - regardless of suit, and there are plenty of Clubs who have no dealings vith us. This person should be useful to us in some vay that you can identify or that you see yourself needing vhile at Court. It doesn't have to be vorld-shattering, merely useful. Then I vill expect you to communicate to me the results of this contact and vhat you hope can be accomplished vith them."

Sabe was taken aback by what the queen had said. It made him all knot-like inside his stomach. He had told the truth, but what truths had the courts whispered to him? He didn't like it when things like this happen, it made him feel as if he was trapped ina social network of lies and deceits, not to mention half-truths. He was visiably squirming in his chair that he sat in directly across from the Queen himself. He was about to say something to back what he had said though that was when the titled king had spoken, giving him his queen quest. To be apart of something more grand.
He sat their for a moment as he let the information that would take a moment to register. He then thought of a good way to put it so he could simplify it a bit more. "So you want me to get someone, either a club or other, that doesn't like the courts, the Clubs in general, to testify that they would help me with whatever little favors that they process within my reign?" he asked as he leaned a bit forward placing his elbows on his knees. He wondered what she would say to that, wanting to make sure that he had gotten what she had told him, not wanting to mess things up this early in the game of politics.

"Vhether they like us or not is immaterial to the qvest," Anoushka said with a small shrug, scratching at an itch beneath the fur of her neck. "Just so long as they are not currently in contact vith the Court, they vill meet the criteria. The more useful or unusual the talent, the more you vill be likely to impress us. Ve are alvays looking for new talent, vhether they belong to our suit or not."
She honestly wanted the man to succeed. Even though he was a bird, and everyone knew how she felt about the feathery bastards, he was bound to be useful. They needed the help. The heron didn't seem like a psychopath, he didn't seem like a terrible freak, and he had to be at least moderately intelligent and organized to run his own successful business. She wanted to make use of whatever skills and talents he might possess, in the name of the Court he wished to join.
