Tavor's little white ears twitched as he turned his head briefly, watching as Vesper moved more toward her brother then him. He didn't mind, not at all ... in fact that just meant he could stretch out a bit more. After he re situated himself it didn't take him long to fall asleep, he was far more tired then he'd first realized.
Brokat twitched his own little rounded ears when he heard the whisper of sound that his sister's paws made on the floor. He wiggled himself over so that his furry form was snuggled up against hers and he made a little contented sound; it was a strange sound, but a happy one at least.
Nova returned the lick with a playful little nip before doing a belly crawl toward the offered limb. Now that would make a simply smashing pillow! He flopped his paws over the leg and then his head followed before he wiggled his body until he was comfortable. His tail swayed from side to side until it finally stilled as he slipped off to sleep as well.

In the morning Tavor was no longer curled up on the floor in the room. He was already up and in the kitchen fixing some coffee and busying himself with other morning routines.... and trying to be as quiet as possible whilst doing so. His feathered tail tip twitched a bit as he started to get a tray ready for Toli and himself; cups, sugar and some little sweets to dip into the coffee. He wasn't sure if Anatolius liked them but he sure did ... it just wasn't a good start to a day if he didn't have caffeine and sugar to start it off.
He'd pull some stuff down for the kids later ... he fully expected them to sleep at least for a few more hours.

Morning woke Toli and, out of habit, he nearly stretched until he felt a warm weight lingering on his leg. A quiet murmur of confusion escaped him and slowly his head tilted and his bright orange eyes opened... to find himself staring out at an unfamiliar place lacking the weight he had assumed was there. When the haze of sleep passed and he remembered where he was and the events of the previous night, the canine had to suppress a miserable sigh for the sake of his legwarmer. He didn't want to wake Nova with his home life.
Acheron... He could understand the man's upset but why had he acted like that? Anatolius couldn't bare to remember the cold way the man had acted toward him. His lover... Or, well, what he hoped was his still lover.
Thrusting away the dark thoughts that threatened to consume him yet again, Toli scanned the room for Tavor before his nose quickly caught the brewing aroma of coffee. Good to know he had another coffee companion and not a tea guzzler. Leaving the kids in their adorable little ball and very painstakingly sliding out from under Nova, Toli managed to escape the room without, he hoped, waking anyone.
He remained in animal form, much easier to control what sounds his heavy paws made and to keep from waking the kids. Out in the living area with Tavor, though, he returned to his bipedal in order to greet the Sorgaire mix. "G'morning Tavor..." The greeting felt so odd... How long had it been since he'd spent his mornings with anyone else? Hell... "Did you sleep alright?"
Movements and smells briefly caught Vesper's attention, tickling her nose and annoying her ears, but after a moment of quietly grumbling the rat mix had buried her snout back against her brother.

When the fact that his pillow was no longer there finally sunk in the little flame winged canine made a soft little whine before adjusting his position. He didn't move over to his siblings, simply curled up in a little ball all by himself.
Brokat lifted his head briefly when he heard the familiar click that meant the door had closed. Eh, it wasn't anything to concern himself over really and his jaws parted momentarily in a wide yawn before the beak sections clicked together when they closed. he rested his head atop his sister and closed his eyes once more, slipping back into dream land rather quickly.
Tavor had been concentrating so hard on what he was doing, and trying to keep himself from thinking of what a horrible person he was and how much the canine should hate him, that he didn't quite hear the canine come and join him in the kitchen until he spoke. This, of course, caused him to jump and bristle his fur, tail feathers fanning out in surprise. He very nearly knocked several things off the tray in the process but managed to catch them before anything broke or spilled too bad.
He turned to the brightly hued canine and flashed him a sheepish grin, blushing under his fur as he did. Gah ... that was ... utterly pathetic...
Good... morning to you as well. I... I slept just... fine. And ... you?
And that really wasn't any better, was it? This was ... new, this whole... person staying for a night.

Anatolius arched a brow and peered over his shoulder at the recently closed door, waiting for a moment to see if any noise would follow him out. When only the click of a finished yawn eventually caught his attention the canine slowly smiled. Ha! Years of sneaking out without waking his siblings had actually paid off!
In the kitchen, Toli had to stifle a small chuckle when Tavor jumped. Such a nervous person, it was simuntaneously cute and a little sad. His mind slowly attempted to wander back to Acheron but he temporarily pushed the darker thoughts aside. "I slept pretty well, actually. It'd been a while since I slept in a puppy pile, not that it was much of one."
Shaking his head Anatolius located a chair to flop into and rested his had on his hands. "Thanks for letting me be a part of their life, Tavor..." No matter the consequences, he was happy for that.

Once his heart stopped threatening to beat out of his chest he grabbed the tray and headed out to where the canine had flopped himself down. He set the tray down carefully before moving over to the sofa and mostly sat... but there was a little bit of flop at the end. The scare had woken him up quite a bit ... but it was still early in the morning.
White ears twitched as the wolf spoke again, his comment pulling a light little laugh from the rat-eagle's maw. Puppy pile ... he's wait to see what the other man thought of having the three of them all piled atop him and see if he enjoyed it then. Buck teeth, talons and fire didn't exactly make for the best of piles.
The other club's next comment caught him by surprise and hit an odd little chord in his mind, bringing up more emotion to his eyes then he'd ever want .... really, that simple statement was enough to nearly pull tears from his eyes. It just... meant a lot. More then he could find the words for really. When he finally spoke again his voice was quieter then usual, but it didn't waver like it normally did.
I'm ... so glad you want them in yours. I ... you just ... I don't think you could know how much that means ...

Tavor... There was no way to ignore how happy that small statement had made. He was glad. They weren't ever going to be a perfect family, but they could at least make things work out for the children so that they wouldn't have to grow up without knowing their father.
And he'd prove his parents wrong in everything they'd ever done in raising him. He'd love all three of the little ones as much as they let him.
"Family means a lot to me," he mumured as he sunk down on the table. He folded his arms beneath him, creating a pillow of red fur. "My family life had never been great, even though my parents were together... I've always wanted kids of my own, a family of my own... No matter the circumstances, I wouldn't have wanted to miss out on knowing them."
He just wished Acheron could see it that way... He still loved the antelope more than anything, but it just didn't seem like Acheron felt the same and that was what truly broke his heart.

He tilted his head a bit to regard the brightly hued canine that was, quite obviously, not completely awake yet, his own tail curling up thoughtfully. His pale ears flipped forward fully as he listened, getting the feeling that this probably wasn't a little tidbit that Toli shared with everyone. Well, maybe, just maybe they could be friends after all of this ... Anatolius certainly didn't seem to hold any ill will toward him. He certainly hoped so ... he was growing rather fond of the canine ... even if how they met wasn't exactly... the best way to make a new friend.
He simply nodded and then started to run a purple claw through the fur on his arm.
I always told myself if I ever had kids I'd try my hardest to make things completely different for them.
His tail twitched a bit as he debated on whether to elaborate or not, this wasn't exactly an enjoyable subject for him... and he really didn't want the canine to pity him, but that wasn't exactly a good way to put that statement without continuing.
I don't even know who my parents are. I eventually wound up with some rather nice people, and I know they tried to make me feel at home... but I never really felt like I was.
A light, mildly nervous laugh escaped his maw before he flashed the other man a little smile.
To be perfectly honest... i have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to kids.

Toli smiled a little from where he rested his head. It wasn't that he was tired... just a little mentally exhausted. So much had happened, and was still happening... He sighed a little, but the smile didn't fall from his muzzle.
"We're the same there, then..." He shrugged and straightened up again, aiming to distract himself with the delightfully warm coffee. He poured a cup from the pot on the tray and sipped quietly at the cup for a second as he listened to Tavor.
He didn't know his parents? ...That was really a pity, family meant the world to Toli. "I'm sorry to hear that... Family is... so important, but I can definitely help with parenting tips. May not have any pups of my own, but I raised a few of my siblings so I'm not too lost on the subject." The canine chuckled, trying to brighten the conversation. "If you ever need anything, just drop me a line and I'll be here. They're just as much my responsibility as yours, and they're always welcome to stay with me... Anything I can do to help."

His ears perked up when the canine offered him help anytime he'd need it ... that was delightful! His tail curled in pleasure for a moment before it stiffened and the cluster of feathers at the end fanned in alarm. Dropping the canine a line anytime he needed was all well, good and possible, they were both clubs after all, but would the brightly colored wolf still be up for it if he knew what he'd have to remove to make that entirely possible? His little nervous twitch kicked in and he ran a claw through the fur on his arm once more.
Well, I ... I need something from you to... to make that possible.
His ears twitched back for a moment, asking people for teeth generally didn't go well and they often thought he was strange... so he'd given up a long time ago and only picked up his collecting again recently. He flicked his tail and got up, not waiting for any sort of reply, and headed toward a desk in the corner. He opened the top drawer and gripped a bottle, claws clicking against the glass, and brought it over to the canine. He set it down on the table and peered at the other man curiously so that he could perfectly gauge his reaction.
The jar contained not only his small collection of teeth but delicate looking tools and a bit of wire... he was obviously in the process of threading the ones he had into a necklace .... so he could keep his friends closer.

Anatolius paused when Tavor perked, his head tilting gingerly to the side in canine confusion. What could he possibly want that had him both agitated and a little excited? And then he pulled out the little jar, displaying the collection of teeth and thread.
Oh...
That sort of something?
"Your communication ability has to do with teeth, doesn't it?" The canine laughed, a bit awkwardly but with good humor nevertheless. "Would be far too easy to use wood or sand, huh?" Well, he supposed he could spare a tooth for family. "So.... how do we go about sharing teeth, huh? You got a good way to yank 'em out since I'm all out of baby teeth to just have them fall out."
Awkwardness aside, Toli really didn't have any qualms about the ordeal. Whatever it took to be with family, after all... He'd probably think differently after the tooth was removed and he was in pain, but that wasn't here nor there.
