[OOC: One of the many Severus Rps I've been promising to put up for people XD;...actually...I think it's just you and Aurry XD;. So I appologize for how long it's taken me to get this up. School and other things...I'm sure you know what I mean ^^;] It close to dark, the sky still splattered with the remains of a sunset, dark blood reds and purple blacks slowly turning the world dark for the night. Severus remembered coming here often as a child, curious about some of the more illegal purcases you could make here. He never bought anything, but one of his most vivid memories of coming here was the one time that he actually had intended to buy something in the area, when he had come upon a shrivelled hand in a jar of green gelatonus liquid. It had been something that had strangely stuck in his mind all these years....and the people that had bothered him that day....a bird...lakelander...his half brother solo...and there had been a lowlander rat. Needless to say when he came around, Severus had about enough of his annoying company...and only had stayed there long enough to say a few rude things before leaving. He hadn't gotten the supplies he needed that day. The next day when he had needed to make something with the materials that were gone...he went berserk. Full on panic attack at 10 years of age. And people wondered why he was so OCD about his supplies. There was a perfectly good reason why. Now he was here once again, and once again he was here because he needed some rather...dubious ingrediants. He was on his way to meet someone. Somone who had been promised to him to be able to get him almost anything he needed. He hoped they were right...he didn't need another episode like with the damn heron. That had gone more then poorly. He blended in strangely with his surroundings. The only thing that might have made him stick out in this unkept strange place would have been the king symbol emblazed on his chest. That however was covered by his almost preistly robes. For all anyone knew...he was just another oddball Corvistownian going about some errands.

((I understand, which is why it took me a few days to reply. So sorry!)) Lariel finished up her drink, paid her tab and left the pub. She'd had enough of watching all the drunken Cards cavorting around like madmen. She only wished she could be there when they woke up to find all of their money long gone. The semi-fresh air was an improvement to the stuffy confines of the establishment, and the Ranger took her time as she made her way to the Outer Bazaar. If she was judging correctly, and she usually did, she still had awhile yet until her scheduled meeting with a potential customer. Her side business was directly word of mouth. It wouldn't do to have the wrong people find out about her shady dealings and be able to find her without going through her various, trustworthy, contacts. This new customer had been referred to her by a long time acquaintance, and although Lariel always had her fair share of skepticism, she had little worry about the upcoming encounter. Before too long she had passed through the Bazaar and had reached the outer borders where Cards of high moral standards hardly ventured. The cat knew these streets well and meandered along them without too much thought, occasionally nodding in hello at a known face or two. The meeting place had been established next to a few stalls run by Cards she frequently dealt with. She couldn't call them friends, since if it would suit their needs (or their purses), they couldn't be counted upon. She paid her associates well, however, and currently had nothing to fear. Within minutes she could make out the dark form of a Card, only realizing as she got closer the shadows she had thought engulfed him was actually clothing. He was in his Biped form, and a cape as black as night blew ever so slightly behind him. Not wanting to be accused of sneaking up on him on purpose, Lariel shuffled her feet as she padded closer. "You must be Severus," she said, her head craning upwards to look at his snake-like face.

[OOC: No worries...my posting might be fragmented as well...school has been picking up ; Now that spring break is over >.>; ] He reached the meeting spot he was instructed to go to, and when he saw no one, he snorted ever so slightly. Maybe she was late. Well, no...maybe wasn't the word that was appropriate. She was. Though he would not complain about it unless she didn't come at all. After all, what could he do? One had to be stealthy in these situations, and you couldn't really do anything about it. What were you going to tell someone when they asked you what you were trying to get from said person. Situations like these always gave him a bit of a foul mood. There wasn't anything he could really do if she didn't show up but try to find another contact and hope they didn't cheat him to. Though, throughout his annoyed thought process, he heard a pattering of feet behind him, and finally a voice calling his name. He turned around quickly, face cold, his robes flowing and twirling with the movement. His arms were crossed, giving him a bit of a condecending look, well...everything he did seemed to have that kind of feel to it in the first place. It was strange how such a look seemed to fit him perfectly...like he had always been that way...and he had. "Yes. And you are Lariel, I presume." he said, his voice flat.

Lariel had to stop her approach swiftly in order to miss the sweeping robes of the Biped before her. She looked up, past his crossed arms, and into his impatient face. Oh, this was going to be pleasant but business was business. Feeling at odds with his height, Lariel deftly catapulted (pun intended) onto a nearby upstanding barrel. She still wasn't eye level with the Card, but it was better than craning her neck ninety degrees upwards in order to see him. The black robes matched his black-as-night hair, though the green and yellow of his face stood out in the pale light illuminating their meeting place.
"You presume correctly," she answered, getting comfortable on the barrel. "A mutual acquaintance tells me you are in need of my services." In this area of town 'services' could have been taken in any number of ways, mostly those that consisted of sexual favors or the exchange of drugs for more drugs. Thankfully, Lariel had drawn her line at black market dealings. The bobcat with 'high morals', she was.
"Before financial situations are discussed, I'd like to hear what it is you need me to obtain for you. I will let you know that once the deal is set I expect half of the payment up front. The other half will be given to me once I have delivered on my end. Does this sound agreeable to you?"
