" Auntie Cha, are you sure we're supposed to be here?" It was an innocent question asked in an innocent tone, the young mixed-realm padding silently behind her only slightly-older aunt. Her ears flicked back slightly, worry shining across her expression. She'd never been so far away from home before, but she was here now and was struggling to keep from panicking too badly. She was with family, and that made it easier to deal with her paranoia, but she stared after every shadow as if it was about to leap from the walls and come after her. The other figure seemed oblivious to her young neice's fears and walked along with the loping pace of a bat, canine tail wagging cheerfully behind her as she did. Bright green eyes surveyed their surroundings as she sought out the perfect place. " Of course!" she lied cheerfully, sending a beaming smile back at the other girl. She was beginning to wish that she'd never brought the young King with her... This whole adventure was looking to be a lot more complicated than she'd hoped. First there had been the drama of hitching a ride on one of the carriages. Now this. " You just need to stick close by, 'kay?" The feline nodded slightly, glancing around herself and swishing her tail anxiously. " 'Kay," she replied, but she didn't sound too sure of her answer. What if one of her mommies was out looking for her? Wouldn't they be mad if they found her so far from home? The girl whimpered softly, walking a little faster to keep up with the hybrid. She didn't even know what they were doing here... And in all honesty, she didn't want to find out. When she bumped into someone she let out a soft mewl, backing away, eyes wide with nerves. " S-sorry!"

Lachlan had been window shopping for the past hour or so and had yet to find anything of interest, or anything in his price range. Feeling thwarted and a little bored, the Tiger had stopped outside of a reputable lingerie shop after a pink lacy number caught his eye. It was small enough on the mannequin that if the body had belonged to an actual Card, the Tiger would have been blushing from head to toe. Though it seemed a waste of money for such a small amount of fabric, he couldn't help but appreciate the erm...response it seemed to elicit from gawkers such as himself. Feeling he'd stared a bit too long at the suggestive display, Lachlan turned and walked back out onto the street. With his gaze still lingering on the lingerie shop, he hadn't noticed he'd stepped right in front of a young Card. Feeling something bump into his back legs, and hearing the accompanying mewl, Lachlan quickly turned to look behind him. The Tiger's heart skipped a beat when he spied what at first glance he thought was a Lowlander. Seeing no swirls and the difference in the coat's color, Lachlan took a deep breath of relief. Eyes wide with surprise, Lachlan turned fully around and smiled down at the little one. "No need to apologize. I cut out in front of you. Besides, I think you took more damage than my leg did. You alright?" he asked, noticing how frayed she seemed.

The young feline stiffened for the moment at the look on the tiger's face when he first turned to see what had bumped into him. She could see the momentary apprehension and dread, and the fur over top of her spine stood up slightly with a brief panic. Why had he looked at her like that for a minute? She shifted rather uneasily as he spoke, her ears twitching back ever so slightly.
He didn't seem to be saying anything mean, but the paranoid kitten still felt a little bit wary and she likely would for a very long time. She took a deep breath, looking up at him with wide orange eyes. It was in her very nature to be careful. "I'm fine," she replied, offering up a small gift to the man - one of her smiles. "I'm just not sure that we're supposed to be so far away from home."
The girl shot a glance at her aunt, who grinned at the strange tiger. Ooooh, he was a handsome one, wasn't he? The strange hybrid giggled rather coyly, her green eyes sparkling with delight.
After all, she'd seen the man approach - and seen what he was looking at.
Ignoring her niece for a moment, the slightly older Sorcha stepped forward, smiling up at the tiger. "It's nice, isn't it?" she said, motioning towards the lacy garment the man had been looking at. "Shopping for someone special, or just... admiring?" The younger Bog-mix looked up at her, eyes wide with horror. What was her aunt /doing/?!

Lachlan saw it on her face that she'd seen his initial reaction to her. Feeling bad, he slouched down as much as he could in attempt to look less menacing. He was rewarded with an adorable little smile he could see past the mask. It had been a long time since he'd seen Cards from that Realm, and they never ceased to amuse him with those masks. And the other one had glowing stalks coming from her body! The Tiger couldn't help but stare at them for a few seconds, fascinated. His attention was pulled away by her giggle.
Lachlan smiled back at her, recognizing that look in her eyes. How sweet. "So far away? Do you mean the Bog?"
He noticed the slightly older one step forward but hadn't been prepared for what came out of her mouth. The Tiger sputtered and grasped at something to say for a few moments before collecting himself. Well, she certainly was a spitfire. Shooting her an amused look, he grinned.
"Just admiring. The uh, craftsmanship is astounding really. So smooth it makes me wish men had something like this for them." Lachlan nodded towards the younger of the two. "Looks like someone things you two shouldn't be here by yourselves."

Lachlan's change in posture did not go unnoticed by the girl, and she eyed him suspiciously for a moment before seeming to decide that he meant nothing by the movement other than an attempt to make himself seem less imposing. That was nice of him.
"I've never been to the Bog," the younger girl said softly, sounding slightly bewildered. She found herself wishing rather strongly that her aunt would stop talking about adult things and take over with the talking. Virtute was rather shy, and her inner fear made it extremely difficult for her to deal with anyone who wasn't her family for extended periods of time. "We live in the Heart's court. Aunty 'cha just wanted to bring me on a trip away from home."
The girl sent her aunt a rather dubious look as she finished speaking. The light-adorned hybrid grinned widely beneath her strange mask, taking a deep breath of the filtered air. As she stepped closer, the Tiger would almost certainly be able to hear the pleasant hum that seemed to surround her.
"Yup. Vir needs to see some excitement in her life," she said rather happily, tail swishing in a canine movement of pleasure. The man's words seemed to please her, and her grin only widened with delight. So the strange tiger was handsome and hilarious! It was a positive combination in Sorcha's mind. "You know..." She said absently, drawing back onto her haunches and eyeing the man closely. One purple-marked wing-thumb stroked at her equally purple chin, and then she nodded to herself.
"Follow me!" she declared suddenly, turning where she sat and marching right into the lingerie shop, head held high. Years spent surrounded by nobles had taught the 8 that she could do anything as long as she looked confident about it.
Virtute froze, the fur along her spine raising as she looked from Lachlan to Sorcha's retreating form, clearly caught in an internal tug-of-war. After a moment, she gave the tiger a glance that implored him to follow, racing after her aunt with a desperate mewl of, "Wait for me!"
((sorry if this is disjointed, wanted to get a reply out but my brain is being lame. ><))

Lachlan's gaze moved back to the smaller of the two younglings. "Never been to the Bog? Well, I can't say that I have either but then again that's not the Region I'm from. Were you born here, in the Capitol then?"
The Tiger could see the little one's uncomfortablility at talking with a stranger, but decided he didn't care. If she was ever going to be out in public again she'd need to learn to be around others. Lachlan had always been the outgoing type and couldn't understand why anyone would have a problem being out in the world.
The Josiggy turned his attention back to the girl with the strange stalks coming from her body. They even seemed to glow. It took him a second before he realized she had been speaking to him and only caught back up on the conversation at the moment the strange female decided to take off - right into the lingerie shop.
The Tiger stood gawking, unable to see either of the smaller girls anymore. With his brow screwed up in uncertainty, the large Tiger followed them into the store.
"This can't be good..,"
