Did she want to know what she'd accomplished so far as far as her goal? Or did she want to know how much of the strange chlorophyll mixture she'd created? Before answering that question, Aima decided to answer the first. That one was much easier to answer and there was no confusion about how the pine martin should answer.
When thinking honestly, she would have liked more room, especially after kidnapping a bunch of plants from her sister's lab. Aima had enough cluttering her lab before the plants. Did that mean she didn't have enough room for her experiments? All in all she did have enough room; she just wanted more so that she could work on multiple things without always clearing out way for other experiments.
Currently Aima had managed to take up three rooms in the basement of the apartment complex she stayed at. Rooms in the Capital were more expensive than in Corvistowne. It helped that she made most of her own tools and took up odd jobs for what she was lacking, but she had still needed to take up a paying job that allowed tips even with her savings. It was just another reason she didn't dare attempt to get a lab at Court.
Without asking or informing the owner, she had taken the liberty of knocking down the separating walls to create one large room. The two extra doors were locked and blocked with various equipment and tools. She doubted her landlord would care as long as she had the walls replaced when Aima moved out. The area mostly had Corvies living in it anyway, so she figured the landlord was probably used to it.
"Yeah, I've enough space to work on my research," she said cheerfully. "Though I'm still hoping to get some more." If this worked and it resulted in her needed to eat less, she might be able to get a fourth room for her lab. Food expenses were such a bother. She liked to take home what left overs she could from her work, but it still wasn't enough to avoid buying her own food all together.
After giving the first answer, she decided to just stick to the chlorophyll mixture. She was a botanist, after all. She might not be as curious about the other parts of her research. "As far as the chlorophyll liquid?" she asked. "I've got three different mixtures I'm working on. I wanted to get help and a second opinion before I tested any of them, though." Not to mention have a second person in the room when she drank it in hopes that if it reacted badly with her body she wouldn't die. That would be highly inconvenient.
When they reached her lab she opened the door for her and stood aside for her to enter. Inside were multiple kinds of plants, not all of which Aima knew the name of. For that reason labels were assigned to each and she made a point of keeping the notes she didn't take out of her lab near them. There were various cabinets in which she stored items not needed for her current experiments. Other such items were too big and were put out of the way on the far side. One such item were the large solar panels she'd yet to get cut.
"The mixtures are over here!" she exclaimed, showing her over to a table near the center with various beacons and tubes. The entire room made her seem more like a chemical or biology Corvie rather than a medical one.
