Dorian ran the edges of the peacock feather's plume along his fingers, admiring the way the colors gleamed. He could feel its magic just by holding it, a happy and uplifting sensation that tingled at the edges of his mind. That feeling, and the fact that the colors clashed with his ensemble, had stopped him from pinning the thing on his vest. It had been tempting, but ultimately he'd decided that the item would be more valuable as a trading commodity than as a bauble added to his collection. The gathering of Jacks and their entourages had been going very well thus far. He hadn't brought anyone of his own, unwilling to trade away such newly-acquired property for anything short of a stunner, but he'd certainly been looking around at the Does and Leverets of others. A few had caught his eye, and one enough so that he planned on making a trade, the White Rabbit willing. Such a pretty and potentially powerful magical item was normally reserved for acquiring a Doe, but the Leveret in question looked to be quite the prize, especially if he could encourage her to raise her rank someday and join his harem. Such lovely fur tufts, and the combination of blue and gray was fetching. He stretched his feet, splaying his toes for a moment and then relaxing them. A comfortable warren, this Selkie place, but he would be glad to return to the dry warmth of the Wastes. Humidity did a number on his hair. Peacock-feathered Pin: This elegant looking pin seems to emanate a strange feeling of light and calm happiness when held. It's elegant length waves gently and cannot be broken no matter how hard one tries. Placing it on will grant an SD one ability...but pricking yourself with it could do something else...something very different...

The party seemed to be going splendidly well, a feat that Leon was taking remarkably with pride. It never had taken him long to learn the pleasures of displaying one's assets with pride in front of his fellow Jacks. There was something about it that boosted his ego and caused him to walk a little taller. Not that he needed the reason to, naturally. When he had been approached by one of the younger Jacks, his inner self had definitely smirked with pleasure. Yes, this party was definitely turning out to be much more in his favor than he had first hoped. Sending the lad to await him in the library, he had made a quick round to see that everyone was satisfied before ordering tea delivered to the library. It was that location that he was now headed, rubbing his hands together in anticipation. Reaching the door he paused for a moment, straightening his clothes and making himself presentable. Seeing that all was in order he opened the door without knocking - it was his Warren after all. "I apologize for having to make you wait, I hope that you went through no discomforts." Walking over he took the chair located across from the fellow male. "You said there was a matter that you wanted to speak to me about?"

"Never fear, good sir, your warren is most comfortable," Dorian replied in a breezy sort of tone, waving one hand idly to indicate that all was well. At least, that was what the guesture meant to him. "I apologize for dragging you away from your other guests but, of course, what is this gathering for if not a bit of business mixed in with pleasure?"
And there had indeed been pleasure. Besides being able to show himself off to several of his peers, he'd gotten a good eye for what was available on the market, as well as a taste of what wasn't. The lovely little Mid-Range Doe who had been sent to entertain him and keep his Need at bay last evening had been quite the treat, though the poor thing had seemed quite awestruck and hesitant in his presence. He attributed it less to the fact that he was a strange Jack she'd been sent to please and more to his magnificent presence putting her off-kilter.
The Hisstor sat up a bit straighter and twirled one of his bangs around a finger before letting it slide out of his grip. On his lap, the feather pin rested conspicuously. "The matter at hand would be a proposed trade, Remmington. I brought with me a rather interesting trinket of unknown origin. It has magical properties that have yet to be explored, making it quite the valuable item. This only seems appropriate, as I should wish to trade it for a Leveret who is doubtless quite valuable to her father, were you interested. I never caught the name of your lovely half-Selkie daughter."

"I have found that a matter of business is yet another sort of pleasure." He replied good naturedly.
He was intrigued by the male before him. The young Jack brought back memories of the time when he had been so young as well, not that he would consider himself old yet. No, he was definitely not so old. When the real topic came up on what he had been wanted for he gave a small smile.
"Come in," he ordered allowing the Leveret entrance to deliver the drinks. Picking up his cup he sniffed at it before taking a sip. He was currently trying out a new blend and was still trying to figure out if he preferred it or not.
"The daughter that you are referencing towards would be my dear Sapphira. An interesting trinket, you say? Do you mind if I take a look?" He asked, his interest captured.

"At the very least, the results of business successfully concluded can be pleasurable," Dorian agreed with a hint of a smirk to his smile. His 'business' with the Czar not long ago in acquiring his beautiful little daughters had gone quite well. That Highland Doe was quite the fetching creature, but very feisty. He would have to see whether or not he ultimately favored her mannerisms.
The arrival of tea was welcomed with an eager twitch of the young Jack's bedecked ears and he received his up gracefully, one pinkie out as his father had taught him so long ago in Esterberry. What an odd mixture. One eyebrow raised as he took another sip. Hmm. "Sapphira. A very fitting name with her coloration, I must admit. The trinket in question also contains shades of blue, along with green and multitudes of others. I'm not quite sure how to activate the magic of the item, but I haven't worn it as a precaution. As soon as you touch it, you will understand."
He reached for the feathery item in his lap and handed it to the Selkie, then returned his attention to the tea. "A most unusual blend, sir. What does it consist of?"

((As the trade has already been concluded for a little while, would you rather mark this closed and have them meet up some other time in the future later on? <3))
