Having had no success in finding her father in both Corvistowne and Capital city, Isolde figured Avington was the way to go. Maybe he was there or at least someone knew him there. She had nothing to go on other than she was half corvistowneian and half selkie laker. Which meant that since Cecilia was the Corvistowneian then her father must be a Selkie Laker. Not knowing where to start, she thought she might consult someone in town. But who? She could stop in the local pub but that might result in her getting totally sloshed and sleeping with someone randomly. Though not a terrible idea, she really needed to stay focused on the task at hand. She looked around hopelessly seeing no one who wanted to help a stranger and sat by a fountain feeling kind of defeated.

Vertumnus was walking home, a bile of brown wrapped parcels in his hands, his umbrella hanging down from his arm so as to make it easier for him to carry the packages. He had moved to Avington when he had gotten old enough, not finding reason to stay in a house with a bunch of Corvistownians any longer. He had to admit...he wasn't very fond of the region...even if the majority of his family was...just that. It helped that Silvanus was not in this region either. Part of him wanted to forgive the male for decieving him as a child, the other didn't. All in all, Avington made the turbulant waters of his soul calm, and he felt at home. Not to mention, the rabbit didn't act up to much here...after all...he was from here as well. "There.....you see her?" the voice said, suprising Vertumnus violently, making him drop his parcels. "Her?" he asked absolutely frightened, to some unseen figure. For anyone watching...he might as well have been talking to himself. He was annoyed. The stupid rabbit had a habit of popping in whenever he wanted...and suprising Vertumnus with his presence. "Yes....she's bad news. It would be best to keep from her..." he said. Vertumnus looked around a bit, trying to see who he was talking about, finally his eyes resting upon the only female in the vicinity. She looked harmless enough. Indeed, she looked upset! Vertumnus was to much of a gentleman not be be curious about what would make such a lovely girl so upset in Avington. He gathered up his things and started heading over to her. "You shouldn't do that...." the voice said in an almost threatening tone. It made the buck nervous, but he had to ask... "H-hello miss. Y-you seem, tr-troubled." he stuttered. She seemed nice enough, but...well...the rabbit had always seemed to be right in the past....

Isolde looked up at the voice, slightly jolted out of her thoughts. It was a blessing, so far no one had bothered to even look in her direction when she arrived. She got the impression that strangers were not welcome in this realm, she should have realized though when she had to have someone bring her just to find the place.
The residents all were quite attractive though and that pleased her. She figured it must be the mixture of isolation and something in the water here. She looked before her to see a handsome young buck. Oh my, well aren't you a cute boy...
"Y-yes... I'm looking for my Father but unfortunately I do not have much to go on it would seem." she sighed. She might as well give up, the idea really was silly... Cecilia had probably slept with thousands of men by now, how did she think she was going to find the right one...

"You shouldn't be talking to her. I promise you this is a mistake." the rabbit said in a knowing voice. But Vertumnus ignored him, as he did usually when he was trying to tell him to do something he didn't quite understand.
"Y-Your father?" he asked making sure he had heard right. He set his parcels down so he could sit next to her. Poor thing. Why were there no happy families in this world? Why had he been fed such lies? "Did he g-g-go mis-ssing? Why m-must you search f-for hi-him?" he asked. No need to jump to conclusions. Maybe he just didn't come home one night. "I c-c-can help y-you find him....if-f you are n-needin-ng assistance?" he wished he could stop the stuttering. He supposed he spent a little to much time with his frightening and vague ghost friend to know how to speak properly with people.
"Oh...b-but my manner-ers are h-horrible. My n-n-name is Vertum-tumnus Gr-Gre-Greenleaf, though...you may call me..Tum-Tum-Tum..." he growled a bit and took in a breath, fustrated with how badly he seemed to be unable to speak. "Tumnus." he looked at her apologetically. It wasn't everyday he talked to people. Especially when the rabbit told him not to. It didn't help that she was...well...a rather good looking female.

((So going to hell for this))
Isolde looked over the young man speaking to her. He was cute and his stutter was very endearing, he was definitely someone she could take to bed.
"Yea, I was basically brought up without a father. My mom slept with him when she was younger but now doesn't remember who he is. All I know is he is at least part Selkie Laker. I've made it this far, I figured I would continue on. I'm trying to hit every region I think fits until finally Selkie Lakes but um... i'm rambling aren't I?" she blushed.
She really hated it when she talked so much, she normally liked to listen to others but right now she was distraught and she couldn't help it so much. She smiled when he introduced himself. "It is very nice to meet you Tumnus, my name is Isolde" she turned on the charm and stroked his arm suggestively.

"Don't let her touch you..." the ghost chimed in again, but Vertumnus ignored him.
"Isolde....wh-what a lov-vely n-name." he said, his stuttering like an accent, though it obviously wasn't. He watched as her pay played against his arm, keeping in mind what the ghost had said, and feeling strange about it. Well what in the world was all this about? He didn't exactly recoil however.
"A-ah, I see." he said finally arriving back at the point. "To be hone-nest, I haven't seen ver-very many Selkie La-la-lakelanders around h-h-here." his stuttering was getting worse and he closed his eyes for a moment, making a fustrated sound before opening his eyes up, "S-S-Sorry...I...don-on't talk to people ver-very often." he sighed when he managed to get out his words, taking a moment to breath and maybe start again. The rabbit shook his head, "Don't talk to her...walk away now while you still can." He took a deep breath. He needed to stop letting the rabbit control him so much. He was tired of living under its constant supervision, tired of being afraid of it.
So he was going to talk to this pretty lady all he wanted! That'll show that stupid rabbit. "I ta-take it you c-can't f-find him here? M-maybe I can hel-help." he said smiling ever so slightly. He really had to learn how to control his stuttering.

((she likes to hug...a lot XD))
Now this guy was adorable, Isolde thought. He seemed sweet and pure... exactly the type of thing Isolde went for.
"Ooh..." she said as her head dropped slightly.
"Well, I figured he may not be here but it doesn't hurt to look, I suppose..." her voice was not that of a whisper. It had been silly of her to expect to find him already, there were several other regions for her to visit as it were.
She perked up a bit as he continued. "Really? You would help me? Oh that would be wonderful!" Out of the sheer joy of the moment, she jumped up and hugged the buck. He felt oddly familiar for a moment but she shook it for arguing that she had never been to this region before...
Still... It's not like they could have known each other, she would have remembered him. Sometimes she really should listen to her gut though.

"N-no. It cer-ertainly doesn-n't hu-hurt." he said giving her a bit of a smile with a nod. She seemed distressed by his news that he had not seen any Lakelanders recently, which he could understand he supposed. If his father hadn't ruined his image in the bucks eyes, maybe he would want to seek him out to, and he would be horribly disappointed if he couldn't find him. He supposed he would be just as curious to meet someone so mysterious that he shared blood with...if that had been the case.
"I'm telling you...nothing good will come out of your interaction with her..." the rabbit said, pushing himsef between them so as for the buck to look at him directly. He sure was trying hard not to have them be friends. Well...Tumnus would have to try harder to ignore him.
Closing his eyes a moment, he opened them again, slightly nervous looking, but attempting very much to give the rabbit the cold sholder. After all, it was bad enough he had a ghost following him around he couldn't talk about for fear of being shut away...the rabbit part only seemed to make the matter much worse. He had never believed in the exsistence of the rabbits until...well...Jack Rabbit.
He jumped slightly, startled as she gave him a hug. He patted the top of her head lightly and gulped. "W-w-well...y-yes. Umm...I have t-t-to put-t away m-my parcels at m-my house, bu-but mayb-be we can lo-lo-look af-after a quick-ck cup of t-t-tea?" he smiled a bit. He did enjoy being a good host, and a cup of tea might cheer the girl up even more. After all, it was a bit of a daunting task to try to find her father here...

"Well that is very kind of you Tumnus, I should like to have tea with you a lot. I haven't met one friendly person since I arrived so I really appreciate it" she grinned. He looked a bit nervous to her so perhaps the tea could help calm him down a little.
"I have this sinking feeling though, that I will be looking for him for awhile yet before he is found. I just wish my mother would have learned to keep her legs closed" she sulked.
Maybe if she had, Isolde wouldn't be in this mess right now. But there really was no point in dwelling, her situation is what it is and there was very little she could do to change it.
She just wish her journey wouldn't have to be so long and irritating. So far three regions and she wasn't any closer to finding him than when she started...
