Maybe she should work on her handwriting if other people were going to be reading her notes?
...not very likely. She'd worry about it for official reports and that would be about it. Just didn't matter otherwise. Her notes were her own, and very occasionally shared by others.
She nodded at Penny. "Alright. Slide them over here." She wasn't the best at interpreting handwriting, having rarely dealt with scribble besides her own mostly-legible looping scrawl. She'd learned to write from an excellent tutor in the palace, but she'd rarely paid much attention to the annoying man's admonishment to improve her writing after she had it down.
Resting a paw on one of the papers, she looked up and blinked in surprise at the thanks.
So apparently she wasn't the only one who would have been alone for the new year. Huh. And she wasn't the only one who would have minded. Odd to think. "The company is appreciated," she said quietly, raising her own glass. "This is the closest I've ever come to celebrating the new year."
